The room Alpha Theon led us to was absolutely nothing like what I'd expected.
Instead of some rustic cabin or makeshift war room, or even a dungeon of some sort, we found ourselves in what could only be described as a corporate conference space.
Which was a bit weird and jarring, until I remembered that Alpha Theon was also a business man and wealthy person outside of the packs.
Sleek mahogany table, leather chairs, even a projector mounted on the ceiling.
It was jarringly modern compared to the rest of the pack territory, like stepping through a portal into the human business world.
But what caught my attention immediately wasn't the décor, it was the woman already seated at the far end of the table.
She looked remarkably similar to the pack healer I'd seen tending to the wounded earlier, with the same angular cheekbones and intelligent dark eyes.
