Heracles charged forward, his aura growing stronger and causing explosions wherever he passed until he reached Gilgamesh, who hadn't even moved.
"Die!" shouted Heracles as he brought his fist down on Gilgamesh.
The moment the fist of the descendant of Greece's greatest hero struck Gilgamesh, a massive explosion occurred, sending shockwaves in all directions.
When the dust settled, Heracles was revealed with a confident smile that quickly faded when he saw Gilgamesh.
The King of Heroes stood with a single arm extended, holding Heracles's hand as if the blow was insignificant. Heracles's explosion hadn't even caused a scratch on Gilgamesh, who was unscathed.
Everyone's eyes widened at this, as Gilgamesh had blocked the blow as if it were nothing.
"My turn," said Gilgamesh as his eyes gleamed with power.
In that instant, Gilgamesh released a surge of aura from his hand, pushing Heracles's arm back and causing the man to lose his balance.
Gilgamesh quickly closed the distance and struck Heracles with a punch that made the large man double over and spit blood. In a swift motion, Gilgamesh kicked Heracles, sending him flying backward.
Heracles quickly regained his footing in the air and landed on the ground, skidding.
"Hahaha, now that's fun!" shouted Heracles with excitement.
"It's surprising that he has strength comparable to Hercules," said Cao Cao, slightly impressed.
Georg nodded.
"Yes, impressive. Imagine the power he must have with his Longinus," said Georg, surprised.
Heracles began to advance again before a massive grin crossed his face.
"You're really worth it," said Heracles before his power surged, and his aura grew larger.
"Balance Breaker!" shouted Heracles.
The massive orange aura covering Heracles intensified even more and began to condense into the form of missiles and explosives all over his body.
"This is my Balance Breaker, Detonation Mighty Comet!" shouted Heracles.
Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes.
"I don't have time to waste with a weakling like you," said Gilgamesh as a golden aura emerged from his body.
The aura began to emanate from Gilgamesh's body before taking the shape of a massive lion with a jewel on its forehead. It had a large body, about four to five meters tall.
It was the avatar of the Longinus [Regulus Nemea].
The moment the Lion was summoned, it roared with such force that the dimensional barrier itself trembled with the power of the Lion King.
"Incredible, so that's the Longinus [Regulus Nemea]," said Cao Cao, impressed.
Siegfried and Jeanne already knew things were getting complicated.
Gilgamesh rarely used his Longinus, and when he did, it meant he didn't want to waste time.
The last time they saw Gilgamesh summon Regulus, the King of Heroes massacred an entire army.
"Regulus, take care of him," said Gilgamesh, and the Lion King fixed its gaze on Heracles.
"With pleasure, Master," said Regulus, taking the lead and charging at Heracles.
The descendant of the Greek hero laughed.
"Looks like I'll get to defeat a Nemean Lion like my ancestor," said Heracles, laughing.
"As if you could. You're nothing but an insect compared to the original," said Regulus as it advanced.
Regulus continued charging and collided with Heracles, dragging him into the forest, out of everyone's sight.
"Heracles!" shouted Jeanne, worried.
"Let's end this," said Gilgamesh.
The space around the King of Heroes rippled with golden waves as a variety of weapons were summoned from his personal treasury.
Swords, clubs, axes, halberds, daggers, scythes, and the most diverse weapons appeared around Gilgamesh with supernatural beauty and power.
Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of the weapons floating behind Gilgamesh, especially Siegfried and Jeanne, who knew their power well.
Without a word, they shot forward, advancing with the intent to destroy any enemy that dared stand against the King.
The weapons of the world's greatest heroes charged at the Hero Faction.
In response, they didn't flee. Georg stepped forward and extended his right hand.
A massive purple mist emerged from his hand, creating a huge barrier that caused the weapons to disappear upon contact.
Gilgamesh's eyes widened at this.
"I am the user of the Longinus [Dimension Lost]. I'm sure you know its powers. I can absorb and redirect anything with my mist. Your treasures are useless," said Georg as he adjusted his glasses.
Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes at this.
Gilgamesh knew the power of this Longinus well, and it was perhaps the most troublesome of all.
[Dimension Lost], sometimes called the Mist of Extinction, is a high-tier gear that creates a mist capable of blocking all attacks and transporting anything within it. Among those that deal with dimensions, space, barriers, and even portions of time, this is certainly the strongest, as it can, at full strength, envelop an entire country and send it and all its inhabitants to an alternate dimension to be destroyed. If the user is strong enough, it can be used to destroy the entire world.
Undoubtedly one of the most dangerous Longinus.
But that didn't mean there weren't other ways to counterattack.
"Then I just need to get close and take you down," said Gilgamesh, planting his feet on the ground and charging at Georg.
Georg's eyes widened as he saw Gilgamesh rushing toward him. The mage was not a close-combat fighter, even with his magic.
"Leonardo, do it!" said Georg, panicking.
Leonardo merely nodded at the command. Shadows began to appear beneath his feet, separating from him and molding into ten large, dark demonic creatures.
"Anti-Monsters?" asked Gilgamesh, surprised.
"All ten of them carry Dragon-Slaying abilities, perfect against a user of a Heavenly Dragon's Sacred Gear," said Cao Cao from the side, seemingly enjoying watching Gilgamesh fight.
The monsters quickly charged at Gilgamesh and fired massive beams of energy at him.
Gilgamesh simply extended his right hand and stopped the beam effortlessly.
[Gilgamesh, this kid's Anti-Monsters are strong for someone his age… whatever spell he's under is likely suppressing his emotions and turning him into a puppet,] said Ddraig, receiving a nod from Gilgamesh.
When the dust settled, Gilgamesh was revealed without a single scratch.
"H-How? You shouldn't have been able to block those attacks," said Georg, shocked.
"I'm immune to Dragon-Slaying attacks," said Gilgamesh, smiling.
After having his soul modified by Valerie, Gilgamesh gained immunity to Dragon-Slaying attacks.
Gilgamesh quickly raised his hand, creating dozens of light swords in the air and firing them at the monsters, which had no way to defend themselves.
Gilgamesh prepared to advance and take down Georg, but a shout caught his attention.
"My turn, Gilgamesh!" shouted a voice, and as Gilgamesh turned to the side, he saw Siegfried charging while Georg sighed in relief.
Siegfried advanced before activating his Sacred Gear.
"Balance Breaker!"
Suddenly, four silver draconic arms emerged from Siegfried's back, each arm doubling his power.
All of Siegfried's arms reached into his clothes and drew six swords.
The first was a large double-edged sword with vibrant colors, despite being a Demonic Sword. The hilt was a golden conical shape with a triangle attached to it, missing its base and middle due to the hilt. The grip was colored with a mix of red and purple. The crossguard was a rectangular black bar with golden symbols engraved on it, a brown X mark in the middle, and a semicircular red protrusion on both sides of the crossguard. The blade was black with a red edge, sometimes enveloped in a red aura, giving it a dark red hue. The blade was quite long, curving upward near the tip and then inward. It also had three hollow triangular holes located in the middle of the upward-curving blade. At the bottom of the blade was a piece of metal acting as a filler, with red lines increasing in height but staying within the golden part, and the filler at the bottom was shaped like a raised rectangle. The difference was that the upper left corner had a large portion removed, making the left side shorter than the right. Further along the blade was a golden design resembling a blade, with two black rectangles connected by a line, and the tip extended slightly and returned to the blade's point. The design at the blade's tip consisted of two modified black squares and a diamond-like black circle shape.
This was Gram, the strongest Demonic Sword, also known as the Demonic Emperor Sword. A weapon with destructive power comparable to Durandal and Dragon-Slaying power comparable to Ascalon.
The second was a long sword with a dark purple color reaching halfway up the blade, turning silver toward the top. It had a unique crossguard with a light purple part extending to the full purple filler, with a small yellow circle in the middle, almost resembling an eye, a yellow grip for two hands, and a purple pommel with light purple ornaments around it.
This was Balmung, one of the Demonic Swords with a drill-like aura capable of creating powerful whirlwinds.
The third had a much lighter color and an ornate appearance, unlike other Demonic Swords, almost resembling a broadsword with a much wider blade. It had a blue crossguard extending to the dark blue filler with a light blue diamond in the middle, with a wavy hardening line on both sides, a golden grip, and a uniquely shaped pommel.
This was Nothung, one of the Demonic Swords, specialized in sharpness with great piercing capability.
The fourth was a long double-edged sword entirely black from the grip to the blade, with four green diamond-shaped patterns in the center and a bat-wing-shaped crossguard.
This was Tyrfing, one of the Demonic Swords, specialized in destruction, similar to Excalibur Destruction. It had the power to unleash pure destructive force that destroyed everything it hit.
The fifth appeared to be the most demonic-looking sword, with a dark purple color. The grip resembled demon wings on the right side, with a downward-pointing horn-like addition, a serrated black blade with three diamond-shaped gems embedded near its base, three protrusions along the edge, a part of the blade pointing upward in front of the three protrusions, and a curved tip.
This was Dáinsleif, a Demonic Sword capable of manipulating ice.
The last was a Light Sword used against Demons.
"Balance Breaker: Chaos Edge Asura Ravage!" shouted Siegfried, announcing his power.
Siegfried's Balance Breaker created four silver draconic arms, and each arm doubled his power.
Siegfried quickly charged at Gilgamesh with his Demonic Swords in hand, and Gilgamesh summoned a blade.
This blade was a double-edged sword about the length of an arm, with a small silver hilt and light yellow feather plumage around it, with leather wrappings around the grip and runes on it. When activated, the blade glowed with a bright light that could harm ordinary demons.
This was Claiomh Solais, the Virtuous Light Sword, a Rank C Noble Phantasm.
A blade that typically appears in Irish stories and folklore about a hero tasked with completing three trials to prove his worth for its abilities, it belonged to Nuada Airgetlam, the first king of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and was considered one of the four treasures of the land. As a ceremonial weapon meant for storytelling, its purpose as a war weapon was severely diminished, making it little more than a glorified dagger.
However, when wielded by someone who mastered the art of the sword like Gilgamesh, its power could easily rival other Noble Phantasms, amplified by Gilgamesh's divine power and fortified by his [Busoushoku Haki].
Gilgamesh quickly imbued his divine power into his sword as he charged at Siegfried.
Both began exchanging blows at superhuman speeds, appearing as mere blurs before clashing.
Siegfried was far stronger than in canon due to all the training he had with Gilgamesh.
However, no matter what blow Siegfried used, Gilgamesh would counter with the opposing technique and nullify it.
With mastery and skill that transcended mortal abilities, Gilgamesh quickly dominated Siegfried.
No matter what Siegfried did, Gilgamesh would retaliate.
Siegfried unleashed waves of destructive energy from Gram with Nothung's cutting power, but Gilgamesh countered with waves of his divine power.
If Siegfried used Dáinsleif to unleash waves of ice, Gilgamesh would respond by creating and releasing torrents of high-level flames.
In one of these slip-ups, Gilgamesh made Siegfried fall to the ground, disarmed, before pressing his sword to his neck.
Gilgamesh's sword was against Siegfried's neck, drawing a trickle of blood.
"What's wrong? Won't you kill me? Have you gotten that weak?" said Siegfried angrily.
Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes.
"Don't mistake mercy for weakness," said Gilgamesh seriously.
"I will," said a voice.
Gilgamesh's eyes widened before he leaped away just in time to avoid a strike from Cao Cao with his spear.
"Nice reaction," said Cao Cao, smiling as Siegfried stood up.
"So you let your subordinates fight to attack a distracted enemy? What a great hero," said Gilgamesh sarcastically.
Cao Cao simply smiled.
"Well, they wanted to fight you. Who am I to stop them?" said Cao Cao before assuming a combat stance.
"But I think it's my turn now," said Cao Cao, smiling.
Gilgamesh dispersed his sword before another weapon manifested in his hands.
Through a small golden light, a spear appeared in Gilgamesh's hand.
It was a large spear, about two meters long, with a deep crimson color resembling blood. The lower part of the blade was serrated with a sharp tip, and the shaft had vein-like notches extending to the end.
The spear exuded a bloodlust that even a non-combatant could feel.
This was the cursed Celtic spear, a descendant of the Norse spear Gungnir and Brionac, the spear of the Celtic Sun God, father of its most famous wielder, Cu Chulainn. The tragedy of this weapon was one of the most infamous among all demonic weapons in the world, yet few had seen it, as it was zealously guarded by the Celtic Sun God, Lugh. Those few who saw it all reported the same thing: a blood-red spear emanating an overwhelming bloodlust.
This was Gae Bolg, the cursed Celtic spear.
Originally obtained by the immortal witch Scáthach through means lost to time, she eventually gave the weapon to one of her most successful students, Cu Chulainn. The witch then asked her student to kill her, but with sorrow; she had become so powerful that she was cursed to "not be considered human." Not even the cursed spear could end her existence, so Gae Bolg failed to kill the one person it was meant to.
Eventually, Cu Chulainn left, taking Gae Bolg with him and forging his own legend as the "Shield of Ulster," but in the process, he ended the lives of his close friend and son with the cursed spear. It is known for its ability to "reverse the nature of causality," ensuring that the opponent's heart is pierced, a weapon that never fails to kill as it always hits a vital organ.
Fighting this weapon was like signing one's death sentence, as the moment its name was invoked, only death awaited the opponent.
"Hoho, what a fine spear. I can only imagine one spear exuding such bloodlust. So that's Gae Bolg, huh?" said Cao Cao, seemingly unbothered by the Celtic spear.
"Very well, let's see which is stronger, my holy spear or your demonic spear," said Cao Cao, preparing himself.
Gilgamesh and Cao Cao readied themselves before charging at each other.
Soon, the two spear wielders rushed toward one another, swinging their spears and countering each attack that came their way. Cao Cao thrust forward with his spear, but the King of Heroes blocked the attack by spinning his spear and forced him to step back slightly. Cao Cao shook his head and saw his opponent coming for him.
Gilgamesh swung his spear at the legs of the strongest Longinus wielder, but he leaped and landed on top of the spear. Gilgamesh grunted and was locked, completely open. Cao Cao smiled and swung downward at his opponent. Seeing the danger, the golden-haired man dropped his spear to dodge the attack and swung his right leg toward his opponent's upper body, sending him flying backward and retrieving his spear.
Not giving his opponent a break, Gilgamesh dashed toward the spearman and thrust his spear forward with red mana toward his target. Seeing the danger, Cao Cao blocked with his own spear covered in holy energy to match his opponent's and countered by thrusting forward to match the attack point for point. A loud clash of spears echoed throughout the barrier, causing a red and white explosion of energy, sending energy flying around them as they continued to attack each other. More and more bursts of red and white mana flew around the spear wielders with each strike, and neither gave up.
However, the crimson spear wielder saw an opening and took it, leaving his opponent vulnerable. Gilgamesh spun his spear toward the holy spear, sending it flying from Cao Cao's hands. The wielder of the [True Longinus] was disarmed, and it was a shock.
Gilgamesh quickly prepared to finish Cao Cao, but a rain of holy swords forced him to retreat.
Looking to the side, Gilgamesh saw Jeanne with her Sacred Gear activated, creating a variety of holy swords.
Jeanne's Sacred Gear was the [Blade Blacksmith], capable of creating countless holy swords with various attributes.
Gilgamesh looked at Jeanne and noticed she had no desire to fight but didn't want the people who took her in to be harmed.
"Come on, Gilgamesh," said Siegfried, returning and charging at Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes and advanced, and in a single movement, he was already in front of a shocked Siegfried.
Gilgamesh aimed and thrust Gae Bolg to pierce Siegfried, who quickly placed all six of his swords in front of the blow to defend.
The defense was successful as Siegfried was only pushed back, but Gilgamesh gripped his spear, channeling his magical power, which generated a shockwave that sent Siegfried flying, crashing through mountains.
Gilgamesh advanced toward Cao Cao, who was still in shock from being disarmed. The strongest Longinus wielder only realized at the last moment when Gilgamesh struck him with his spear, sending Cao Cao flying.
Gilgamesh quickly gripped his spear and turned his attention to Georg and Leonardo.
A countless number of Anti-Monsters surrounded Gilgamesh as Georg began unleashing magic through numerous magic circles.
But this wasn't enough to stop Gilgamesh.
With a single thrust, the King of Heroes charged at the two, crossing the battlefield while destroying all the magic and slicing through all the monsters, displaying immense mastery with his spear.
But before Gilgamesh could reach them, Jeanne stepped in front of him, making the King of Heroes stop.
"Please, Gil, let's stop this," said Jeanne sadly.
"That was your choice, Jeanne. Not mine," said Gilgamesh seriously.
Jeanne looked at Gilgamesh sadly, as she didn't want to do this.
"Balance Breaker!"
Behind Jeanne, a massive number of holy swords appeared before taking the shape of a dragon made of holy swords.
"Balance Breaker: Stake Victim Dragon," said Jeanne.
It was Jeanne's Subspecies Balance Breaker, creating a large dragon made of holy swords. Jeanne could still create holy swords while using this Balance Breaker.
The dragon quickly charged at Gilgamesh, roaring, but Gilgamesh concentrated a massive amount of his magic at the tip of Gae Bolg, which gained an extremely sharp aura.
Then Gilgamesh swung his spear from bottom to top.
And Jeanne's Dragon of Holy Swords was sliced in half, to her astonishment.
Gilgamesh quickly advanced toward Jeanne, who didn't even react, as she knew fighting Gilgamesh was foolish and suicidal.
But contrary to Jeanne's expectations, Gilgamesh didn't strike her with Gae Bolg; instead, he hit her neck, knocking her out.
As Enkidu had said, Gilgamesh was too soft when it came to those he cared about, which is why he couldn't kill a friend.
Gilgamesh quickly spun his spear and turned his attention to Georg, who looked terrified.
Georg quickly did the first thing that came to his mind as Gilgamesh advanced toward him.
He fled.
Georg quickly made the mist of his Longinus appear at his feet before disappearing to the other side of the barrier.
But the target wasn't Georg; it was Leonardo.
Gilgamesh appeared behind Leonardo before the boy could even react.
Gilgamesh's eyes changed at that moment, taking the form of his [Sharingan].
"Genjutsu: Sharingan," said Gilgamesh, looking directly into Leonardo's eyes.
The moment their eyes connected, Leonardo fell to the ground unconscious.
Turning his gaze forward, Gilgamesh saw Cao Cao walking, now with his Longinus in hand.
"That was a good move. I admit I was distracted at that moment," said Cao Cao before noticing the unconscious Leonardo.
"What did you do?" asked Cao Cao dangerously.
"I freed him from the brainwashing you put him under. He's no longer your puppet," said Gilgamesh seriously.
Cao Cao showed slight surprise before looking serious.
"I see, so that's how it is," said Cao Cao, sighing.
The wielder of the strongest Longinus quickly swung his Holy Spear, releasing a massive beam of holy energy.
But Cao Cao's holy beam wasn't aimed at Gilgamesh.
It was aimed at Leonardo.
