Chapter 239 - [TP] 239: The Power of Omnipotence

"Bang!"

However, Velzard's plan met resistance.

The Lord of Patience was blocked by an invisible force, and the gray-white curtain, as if suffering backlash, was forcibly repelled back into Velzard's body.

"What?!"

Velzard had never encountered such a thing.

Her Ultimate Skill had actually failed!

"How is that possible?!"

Ultimate Skills could only be countered by other Ultimate Skills, and even then, it was merely a counter.

A situation like this, where her skill was completely suppressed, was a first for Velzard.

"Surprised?"

Damien smiled, "Why do you think I brought you here to fight?"

"Here?"

Suddenly, Velzard realized, "This world... it's an Ultimate Skill!!!"

Veldora felt it too... the changes in this universe.

"This world is self-repairing..."

The planet and space previously destroyed by Veldora's beam had been restored to their original state.

Everything was as if it had never changed.

It was like time rewound, fully restored.

Even the traces of the small black hole, along with the planets and energy sucked into the spatial turbulence, had returned to their rightful places.

"I call this world the Void World, a world derived from my Ultimate Skill, God of the Void!"

Damien didn't beat around the bush, stating plainly: "Here, even Ultimate Skills cannot cause true destruction."

"God of the Void?"

Naming it after a god clearly exceeded Velzard's understanding.

"Impossible!"

"Even a higher-tier Ultimate Skill shouldn't be able to nullify my Lord of Patience!"

"It's not nullified."

Damien shook his head, then said something that left Velzard incredulous: "It's overridden!"

"Overridden?"

"Your Lord of Patience did activate, fixing this place and several surrounding galaxies."

"Then?"

"Why did my ability..."

"Simple!"

Damien interrupted her confusion: "Because I undid the galaxies you fixed."

"Undid..."

The Lord of Patience's manifestation appeared as ice, but in essence, it was no different from stopping time.

However, unlike merely manipulating time laws, Velzard's Lord of Patience was more broken... it completely fixed everything.

It didn't control other laws with time.

Instead, it was a will that stood above those laws, commanding them to stop moving!

"You're saying you have a power similar to mine?"

Velzard gleaned his meaning from Damien's words.

It wasn't about resisting or erasing... it was about undoing.

Where there's a lock, there's a key.

Damien used the simplest method, with minimal magic, to break the Lord of Patience's restraint.

"My God of the Void is the power of omnipotence!"

Damien didn't know the specifics of Rimuru's God of the Void, but his God of the Void was all-encompassing, truly omnipotent.

To use an analogy, it was like an upgraded version.

Through God of the Void, Damien could derive nearly any Ultimate Skill.

And not just one at a time.

As long as he had enough magic, Damien could simultaneously derive dozens of Ultimate Skills.

These Ultimate Skills didn't even require him to have seen or understood them.

If he thought it, it became reality!

That was the might of Damien's God of the Void.

"How can such a power exist?!"

Even Guy's Lord of Pride could only copy Ultimate Skills he had seen.

While that Ultimate Skill was also incredibly broken and nearly unsolvable...

The Lord of Pride was ultimately limited by the Ultimate system.

The gap between it and God of the Void, beyond the difference in tier, came down to two main points.

First, the Lord of Pride could only copy... it couldn't surpass or freely modify.

In contrast, the terrifying aspect of God of the Void was its ability to freely combine Ultimate Skills, using them as nourishment for its own growth and evolution.

Second, and most importantly...

Their essences had an absolute gap.

Take the Lord of Patience as an example.

The Lord of Pride would need the Lord of Patience to exist for Guy to gain the power of 'fixation.'

But Damien's God of the Void didn't need that.

Even without the Lord of Patience, God of the Void could fulfill Damien's desire to still the entire universe.

In other words, if the Cardinal World had only 30 Ultimate Skills...

The Lord of Pride could, at most, acquire those abilities.

God of the Void had no such limitation.

It could transcend those 30 Ultimates, manifesting the 31st or 100th Ultimate Skill effect based on Damien's needs.

If Damien's computational ability was sufficient, he could even combine them freely, manifesting the power of other divine Ultimates.

For example, the God of Chaos.

God of the Void could achieve a one-shot world-destroying effect.

The only issue was that the God of Chaos's destruction wouldn't harm Damien, while God of the Void couldn't guarantee that.

"This is your Ultimate?"

"A divine Ultimate, omnipotent, a creation power that makes thoughts reality..."

Velzard was indeed shocked by Damien's Ultimate Skill, but soon she noticed a flaw: "No, your God of the Void isn't as invincible as you claim!"

"You noticed?"

Damien was slightly surprised, noting Velzard's keen battle sense: "Indeed, God of the Void has its limits."

"That is, I'm only omnipotent in the world created by God of the Void!"

Yes, the omnipotence of God of the Void only held within the world it created.

In the Cardinal World, Damien's God of the Void was merely the supreme Ultimate in time and space, unable to achieve thought-to-reality.

Unless Damien created a small world on the spot.

Like bubble universes, enveloping his enemies within.

Damien called this move 'Eden.'

But in that case, Velzard could simply stop time in advance and escape quickly.

And even if caught, as long as she could destroy that small world, she could break free from the disadvantage.

"But..."

"Do you think you can destroy this Void World under my watch?"

Eden's scale was limited; if Velzard unleashed a burst of power...

Damien truly couldn't keep up with her destruction speed.

But this was the origin universe birthed by God of the Void.

Without the power to destroy it in one blow, Damien could not lose!
