Chapter 16 - Meeting the heroine.

- After two weeks in the mansion still training and further honing my skills in the nearby monsters, but one day. As the sun was starting to set coming from the from I saw something different.

- A polished, dark wood carriage, emblazoned with a crest I didn't recognise, stood before the main entrance. Its presence was an anomaly, a breach of the usual quiet solitude that permeated this estate.

- A servant, usually a fixture within the house's shadowed halls, emerged, her expression unusually deferential as she hurried towards me.

- "Master Leon," she began, her voice a low murmur, "your father requests your immediate presence. He is waiting in the drawing-room."

- As I entered the mansion I was greeted by a maid calling to me saying that my father is waiting for my presence in the drawing room.

- The drawing-room was hushed, the heavy velvet drapes drawn against the setting sun, casting the space in a somber light. My father, Lance, sat by the cold hearth, his usual stern countenance softened, almost imperceptibly, by an unfamiliar, anticipatory gleam in his eyes.

- Beside him sat my stepmother, Lady Grace, her perpetually placid expression unruffled. What truly caught my attention, however, was the third figure. A new face. One I had certainly never seen within these walls before.

- I entered, my presence acknowledged by the slight stiffening in my father's posture, a familiar sign of his displeasure at my very existence.

- "You wished to see me, Father?" I asked, my voice betraying none of the internal questions swirling within me.

- My father gestured to the vacant armchair opposite him. "Leon, sit. There is a matter of considerable importance we need to discuss." He paused, a small, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips as he glanced at the young woman beside my stepmother. "We have, after much deliberation, decided upon your engagement."

- my father continued, his voice resonating with an uncharacteristic joviality, "we have decided your engagement to Lady Rose Clinton Weller. She is Count Weller's daughter. Greet each other."

- She was petite, with a slim, almost delicate figure that seemed out of place in the severe elegance of the room. Her hair, a cascade of bubblegum pink hair that fell in soft waves around her shoulders

- Her face, framed by soft, ethereal strands, was undeniably beautiful – a perfect oval, with a small, straight nose and lips the color of ripe berries, Her eyes, were large, the color of warm honey, and held a quiet, almost serene luminescence. They met mine directly, with a little shyness she looked away.

- I immediately recognised her, she was the heroine of the game, Wands and wisdom. This is one of the events before the story started, she got engaged to Leon(me) and got broken after she met the Protagonist in the middle of the story.

- She got engaged to Leon because her family had a huge debt and our family said they would pay if she got engaged to me.

- There is another reason they made us engage because the Weller family hated her for having no abilities and being a disgrace to them that's why they made the engagement a sudden one.

- " Nice to meet you, sir Leon, I hope we learn more about each other." Rose.

- This is the first words she said in the game. " Don't talk to me like we will get to know each other." That was what Leon said in the game.

- She immediately looked down in silence and my stepmother talked to her cheering her, I looked at her apologising in my head for talking to her like that but I had no intention of changing the game storyline if it wasn't for my survival.

- After that, her father said in a letter that she would be staying at our house for a month to learn about each other and to deepen our relationship.

- At first, I didn't want to meet her until she left, but her personality didn't let me, she had a caring one with a bright smile and a genuine concern about the people she cares about.

- I tried everything to make her hate me or get a distance from her by acting highly and selfishly, even criticizing her, but she still comes to me, and it's starting to make me question my own intentions and whether there's more to this than just the game's plot.

- I often go to journeys for nothing just to don't meet her and sometimes, I confine in my room, but I still meet her in some place i didn't expect.

- I wanted to go for a long journey but the one-called father ordered me to not go too far away.

- Everything I talk badly to her, I feel a sense of hypocrisy, because deep down i didn't mean it. But everytime I apologise in my head but I had to go with it until the end of this month.

- Until the end of the end of the month arrived and the day of her going back but I had a sense of unease because last night as I was walking around the house I saw her escorts talking to hooded men.

- I thought something bad might happen, but in the story nothing happened so I had to go with her silently to find out this sense I was feeling and if something is wrong.

- I followed them the next day with my flying skill and stealth so no-one sees me and went with them.
