Nyra's POV:
"You know you owe me right."
"How?" Was the only word I could alter as he left me speechless.
How can I owe him when I obviously just got here, I was really not in the mood for long talk as I needed to get on my way to the training ground. I needed to figure out how to put an end to this conversation very fast.
"I helped you obtain your maid's position, without my intervention you would have been held as a prisoner, being tortured in the dungeon by now."
Ooh, so that's what this is about, if that's the case, then a "thank you" should do.
"I'm really grateful for your help Alpha Darius, thank you so very much." I was indeed grateful to him because his words were true.
"No no, a thank you wouldn't just do it, but we will discuss that later. You're dismissed."
I immediately turned my back to leave, I could feel his gaze on my body, I could tell the thoughts running through his mind were impure, and what did he mean by a thank you wouldn't just do it?
I discarded those thoughts as soon as I stepped out of his room, running through the holes and only stopping by the guards post, informing them of my intention of going to the training ground, clearly they had been informed as they cleared the path for me.
I could hear their whispers as they asked one another why a lady would pick such an interest in the field of training, they wouldn't understand a slight bit even if I was to explain to them.
I resumed running and didn't even bother to stop it to catch my breath till the trading ground building came into full view. I suddenly paused.
How would a weak and naive woman, a captive like me, be welcome in a building filled with men warriors? "It's now or never," I said, encouraging myself.
I slowly walked past the pillar of the building and went through the entrance, all eyes fell on me almost immediately as the whole place went dead silent, but I could tell by their gaze that I wasn't welcomed here, my knees became wobbly at the moment, making me lose control of my balance.
"What would a lady be looking for in a training ground?"
"She's The captive the warriors brought in the other day."
"She can't be mistaken for any other person, her white hair makes her stand out."
Tiny whispers came from all corners of the building but I was still able to hear all their words clearly and even distinguish one's voice from the other, I couldn't let myself be bothered by mere words, I came here for a purpose which must be accomplished.
I stood still as I stared blankly at the training equipment in front of me without the slightest idea on how to use them.
"Hey, white hair!"
Suddenly a manly bass voice sounded behind me making me lose concentration of all thoughts that were flowing through my mind.
Not this name again… I didn't think I would also have to put up with bullies like Aven and Mira here too. I slowly turned my back to face the person approaching me only to be met by those familiar pair of eyes, those blue eyes that smiled at me in the Forest.
It was the warrior who carried me on his shoulder to bring me back to the Shadow moon Pack.
"It's Nyra," I said coldly while putting on a look of fierceness.
"Don't tell me you are still angry with me, I was only following orders and I stepped out to pick you up because I didn't want any of the other warriors to handle you roughly."
"Let's be friends at least, yeah?" he said after a brief moment of silence, stretching out his hands for a handshake.
He doesn't seem to be that bad of a person and I could also use some help around here, I thought in my mind as I reluctantly brought forward my hands to accept his.
"The name's Kael." He smiled.
"Nyra," I repeated as I returned his smile.
"I see you're having some difficulties with that, I can help you if you want me to."
He said using his eyes to gauge the equipment before me.
"Before using any training equipment here, I would need to test your strength."
I have never heard of one's strength being tested. What kind of equipment would be suitable for me to use? I thought while looking around.
"Attack me with all your strength!" His deep voice finally broke out.
"This must be a way of testing my strength," I thought to myself.
He took a defensive stance in front of me, and I could feel the uncertainty in his eyes as he looked at me.
Looking into his eyes full of doubts, I punched him in the chest with all my strength, but he quickly put his hand in front of his chest countering my attack.
I didn't expect such move from him as this caused my hand to ache so badly, but this was only just the beginning.
He blocked almost everyone of my attacks and before long I was not only tired but my palms were all sore.
"Now it's my turn to attack, Nyra be on guard!"
