Chapter Sixteen
The three children of Tolen became wealthy
The officer, upon discovering the golden bars in the Tolen's suite, immediately contacted the DPO and instructed him on the necessary actions to take regarding the golden bars.
Meanwhile, the police initiated an intensive search for Mrs. Tolen's current residence to inform her about the return of her missing children after twenty-one years.
At the hotel suite, Pete asked the officer for money and a vehicle to take them to the market. He then called another officer from headquarters to send a vehicle and cash. The officer arrived with their requests and they provided him with details of the places they wanted to visit, such as boutiques and shopping malls, to buy gifts for their sister and parents.
"Hello officer," Charley greeted, "we would like you to take us to the best shopping malls, boutiques, and garden parks. Then we want you to drive us around Zinatano's latest structural developments so we can see how the city has changed," Charley concluded.
Excited to be out of their previous situation, Jenny asked how the gold got into their room. Pete reassured them that they were free and rich, and their next goal was to reunite with their mom and sister Mary to celebrate their freedom.
The three Tolens entered the officer's patrol car and explored the new Zinatano city, visiting restaurants, shopping malls, and buying gifts. They longed to reunite with their family, unaware of the hardships their mother and sister faced in their absence.
Returning to the hotel late, they bathed, had supper, and spoke with the officer in charge of their safety. The search team was still trying to locate Mrs. Tolen's current residence. The next day, they planned to visit the Tolen's residence in Zinatano.
Excited for the reunion, they dressed up and prepared to meet their family after twenty-one years. While waiting for the officer, Pete found more golden bars under the bed, speculating that the gold was connected to their past adventures in the Land of Gold.
The police arrived to collect the golden bars and took them to the bank for safekeeping. The Tolens then decided to rebuild their family home using some of the gold. They reconstructed the house with modern architecture, making it the most beautiful in the city.
As they renovated their home, the search team continued looking for Mrs. Tolen and Mary. Unaware of their mother's whereabouts, Mary and Mrs. Tolen discussed the mysterious golden mansion built on their family property.
Charley, Pete, and Jenny thrived in their newfound wealth and fame, engaging in philanthropy and business ventures. Despite their success, they longed for their father and struggled to locate their mother and sister.
The story of the three Tolens became legendary in Zinatano, fulfilling the prophecy of wealth and greatness for those who escaped the Land of Gold. Their journey was marked by struggles, sacrifices, and ultimately, triumph
