Heavenly Temple
After being notified by Mr. Popo, Yamcha, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, and others arrived at the Heavenly Temple one after another.
Under the careful guidance of Kami and Mr. Popo, the group began intensive foundational training. Their basic combat skills and power levels saw noticeable improvement in a short amount of time.
One Month Later
Bulma finally completed work on the gravity chamber and delivered it to Krillin. The device was brought to the Temple for everyone to use.
> (100x Gravity: This training device dramatically increases resistance, simulating conditions far beyond Earth's natural environment. It exponentially enhances strength, agility, and durability.)
Once the divine training concluded, the warriors took full advantage of the gravity chamber. They sparred daily, pushing themselves to the limit. Their combat effectiveness continued to soar.

Wilderness Survival
Elsewhere, in a rugged and remote wilderness, Son Gohan completed a six-month survival challenge. Afterward, Piccolo officially began Gohan's combat training.
After witnessing Rayden's overwhelming power, Piccolo knew he couldn't afford to be lenient. He trained Gohan rigorously from the start, attacking with full strength and relentless determination.
Piccolo also remained disciplined himself—often waking up in the middle of the night to train under the stars.

Otherworld
Meanwhile, in the afterlife, Son Goku had arrived at King Kai's planet after enduring numerous trials.
Following tradition, Goku told a series of terrible jokes. Though they weren't funny, they were enough to convince King Kai to accept him as a student.
And so, Goku began his special training in the Otherworld under the tutelage of the great King Kai.

Time Passes
One year flew by in the blink of an eye.
All the warriors had made incredible progress. Their combat power had risen dramatically in preparation for the arrival of the Saiyans.
Here were their final power levels after training:
Rayden: 12,620
Krillin: 4,720
Yamcha: 4,368
Tien Shinhan: 5,040
Chiaotzu: 2,430
Yajirobe: 2,789
Piccolo: 3,500
Son Gohan: 2,800
Son Goku: 8,000
Rayden had taken a short break after his training and spent a few months relaxing in the city. Because of that, his combat power had not increased further, but it remained far ahead of the others.
Piccolo and Gohan didn't train in the gravity chamber like the others. Instead, they chose the raw, unforgiving environment of the wilderness. They pushed themselves with fierce dedication, and in doing so, formed a bond that was more like family than friendship—a bond that surpassed even that of a father and son.

The Invasion Begins
One day, two space pods appeared in Earth's outer orbit, blazing toward the surface at incredible speed.
From a distance, the incoming crafts looked like two fiery comets streaking through the sky.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The pods pierced through Earth's atmosphere and crashed into a bustling city with tremendous force.
Boom~!
Twin shockwaves erupted as the space pods tore into the earth, carving out two enormous craters.
The city's residents were frozen in shock.
> "What was that?!"
"Is it a meteor?!"
"No... it looks like some kind of pod!"
"There's another one! Over here!"
Suddenly, one of the pods hissed open with a metallic clunk.
Gaa~!
A figure stepped out—short, with spiky black hair and a piercing scowl. It was Vegeta.
The crowd was stunned.
> "It's a person!"
"Someone came out of it!"
Vegeta glanced at the terrified citizens around him, cold and unfeeling.
A second pod opened beside him. Nappa, tall and burly with a mustache, emerged and hovered to Vegeta's side.
> "Who are they?"
"Aliens?"
"They're flying!"
The onlookers buzzed with fear and confusion.
Vegeta scanned the area calmly. "So this is Earth? Not a bad environment."
Nappa chuckled darkly. "Let me greet the locals."
With a smirk, he raised his hand.
BOOM!
A massive surge of energy exploded outward, flattening all buildings nearby in a single instant.
The entire city was wiped off the map.
"Hahaha!" Nappa laughed. "Guess I got a little carried away."
Vegeta frowned. "Nappa, if you destroy too much, we won't be able to sell this planet for a high price."
"Let's just find the strongest fighters here. One of them must be the one who killed Raditz."
Vegeta tapped his scouter, scanning for power levels across the globe.
Nappa did the same. "Vegeta! This is strange! I'm picking up multiple readings over 1,000!"
Vegeta's eyes narrowed. "How could weaklings on a backwater planet have such strength?"
Nappa pointed to a direction. "Over there! Two energy signatures—both high!"
Without hesitation, they launched into the sky.
"Hahaha! This planet's gravity is so light—moving around is easy!"
Vegeta's lips curled into a slight grin.

Heroes Prepare
Back on Earth, Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and others instantly sensed the Saiyans' arrival.
"They're here," Piccolo said grimly. "And they're headed this way."
"Yeah…" Gohan nodded, trying to stay calm.
In the mountains, Piccolo removed his weighted clothing. He turned to Gohan and said confidently, "Don't be afraid. We're a lot stronger than we were a year ago."
"Right!" Gohan replied, still a bit anxious.
Suddenly, Piccolo became alert. "They're coming from that direction."
Gohan's eyes widened. "Is it the Saiyans? But I thought there were only two?"
Swish!
A figure dropped from the sky.
It was Krillin.
"Is it them?" Gohan asked quickly.
Krillin nodded and smiled. "Long time no see, Piccolo."
Piccolo scowled. "So it's you. What are you doing here? Planning to fight the Saiyans too?"
"Yeah," Krillin said, nodding seriously. "I've trained hard for this."
Piccolo chuckled. "I guess there are other idiots out there."
Krillin scratched his head and grumbled. "Still as rude as ever... But yeah, the others are coming too. I just got here first."
> This guy... In the past, I couldn't even touch him. But now, after training hard, I've caught up. Just wait, Piccolo.
Gohan looked at Krillin curiously. "I remember now! You're one of Master Roshi's students, right?"
"That's right," Krillin said proudly. "I'm Krillin."
He patted Gohan's shoulder. "You've gotten so strong! You look just like your dad when he was your age."
Gohan blushed and smiled. "Dad always talked about you. He said you were small but really powerful."
Krillin's expression darkened. "Calling me small, huh? Has Goku looked in the mirror?"
Then, with a smirk, he asked, "So, how was training with Piccolo? Must've been rough."
Gohan smiled brightly. "Uncle Piccolo is actually really kind."
Piccolo huffed. "Enough chatting. They're here."
Krillin and Gohan looked up.
Floating in the sky were Vegeta and Nappa, tails wrapped around their waists, their battle armor glinting in the sunlight.
They hovered silently, observing the trio below.
"Hahaha!" Nappa laughed. "Looks like we've got company. Three of them."
"Where's Kakarot?" he sneered. "What's he waiting for?"
Vegeta chuckled. "Seems they've prepared for us. Maybe they're saving Kakarot as their trump card."
Then he turned to Nappa. "Let's go greet them."
The two Saiyans descended and landed across from the Earth warriors.
"You all seem eager," Vegeta smirked.
Krillin stepped forward. "That's right. But before we fight, tell us—why are you here? What's your goal?"
Piccolo added, "Yeah. What do you want with Earth?"
Instead of answering, Vegeta asked, "Where are Kakarot and the one who killed Raditz?"
Piccolo replied firmly, "They don't need to show up. We can handle you ourselves."
Nappa narrowed his eyes and pointed at Piccolo. "Vegeta... that guy looks like a Namekian."
Vegeta nodded thoughtfully. "Could be. No wonder he's acting so confident."
"Maybe he's the one who helped defeat Raditz."
