Chapter 3 - Agent & Genius

Akihiro did a squat. Then another. And again. He kept going, pushing himself to his limit.

After coming back, he didn't waste time thinking about the dangers in this world. Instead, he'd already started training.

He knew he had to leave this place sooner or later, so it was better to begin making himself stronger. That was the only way he'd be able to face what's coming.

He started with basic push-ups and squats since he didn't know any martial arts yet.

In the comics, Daken could exert himself for at least 24 hours straight before fatigue toxins began affecting his body. Akihiro didn't have that kind of stamina yet. But even now, his endurance was far above average for his age.

He also knew his powers would gradually unlock over time:

• His healing factor would eventually reach the point where it could regenerate lost limbs and organs.

• His aging would slow dramatically, like Wolverine's.

• His senses would evolve to supernatural levels. Night vision, enhanced hearing, and the ability to track people by scent.

Even without the Gacha, if he took himself seriously, he could become one of the strongest fighters in the world. Half a century would be more than enough to reach that level.

And not just as a fighter. He could master other fields too—chemistry, physics, mechanics.

Sure, he didn't have the genius-level intellect of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, or Hank Pym. But with enough time and real-world experience, he could still rise to the top in every area.

Thinking about how Wolverine had lived for over a century and only focused on fighting made him scoff. What a waste. If Logan had taken the time to truly understand himself and studied biology seriously, he could have easily become a leading expert in the field.

Of course, he didn't look down on Logan's combat skills. Only a fool would. A beast that can heal from nearly anything, doesn't slow down due to pain, and has over a century of experience in killing? If Logan had taken any fight seriously, nobody would have survived provoking him.

"That's enough for now," he mumbled, sitting on the floor and taking deep breaths. After a few seconds, he opened the system.

It had already been a month since he regained his memories, and he still hadn't done the spin. He'd been holding off, wanting to draw multiple cards at once, thinking it might increase the chances of getting something worthwhile.

For the entire month, aside from eating and freshening up, he'd devoted all his time to training. Running laps around the garden, doing bodyweight exercises, and meditating. A strict, self-imposed routine.

Everyone in the mansion had been stunned at first, but eventually chalked it up to a teenager getting serious about fitness.

As for school, after a few incidents caused by his strange "conditions," he'd switched to self-study at home. Even before unlocking the system, his parents had already decided there was no need for a tutor. After all, they didn't want the rumours getting any worse.

"Let's see what I get," he muttered, and spent all thirty points in one go.

1. SVD (The Division)

2. Nichirin Sword (Demon Slayer)

3. Thunder Stone (Pokémon)

4. Package: Agent Six (Generator Rex)

5. Digimon Sketchbook (Digimon)

6. Grayfia's Panties (High School DxD)

7. 10,000 Galleons (Harry Potter)

8. Michael Holt Template (DC)

9. Kunai ×100 (Naruto)

10. Omniversal Travel Card (Slugterra)

He glanced through the list quickly, but his attention immediately zeroed in on the two template cards.

The first was Agent Six from Generator Rex. A super-agent, peak human, a silent sword-wielding badass who had seen more non-normal combat situations than most soldiers could imagine. A man who could cut down EVOs without blinking.

The second was Michael Holt, also known as Mister Terrific from DC. A genius with 14 PhDs, eidetic memory, and an unparalleled learning curve. Recognised as the third smartest man on Earth, a self-made billionaire, and inventor of T-Spheres.

Akihiro grinned. This was perfect.

One gave him combat experience and elite physical conditioning.

The other gave him mental sharpness and a genius-level intellect.

Body and mind, rising together. Balanced growth.

No, he didn't get something overpowered like a Batman or a Kryptonian, but it was still something he could build on.

His gaze then drifted to the third card that caught his attention: the Omniversal Travel Card.

Slugterra.

An underrated show, sure, but memorable in its own right. He could still remember those wild slug battles, the transformations, the blasters, the bikes. That game-like world where combat was fast, flashy, and fun.

Guns, bikes, and living ammo. A man's true romance.

His eyes sparkled for a second, until he read the description.

And frowned.

Time Limit: 1 Year (Subjective and Objective Time Sync Enabled)

In simpler terms, he could stay in Slugterra for one year, but time wouldn't stop in his current world. When he returned, an entire year would have passed here too.

That was a problem. It meant he'd lose at least 120 card draws.

"You can't have everything," he muttered, sighing.

He scrolled through the rest of the cards until his eyes stopped on a pair of black panties.

He paused.

For a brief moment, he considered pulling them out. But with great restraint, he held himself back. Once something was taken out, it couldn't be returned to the gacha. And he didn't have an inventory yet.

He then checked the rest of the cards and decided to take out only two kunai, since he didn't have anywhere to store the rest for now. The same logic applied to the other items. No need to bring them out until necessary.

After that, he slotted both character templates into Assimilation. Thankfully, with two available slots, he didn't need to queue them. He could run both at the same time.

Grrrr

Hearing the growl from his stomach, he got up and decided to eat something before returning to his routine.
