It's a usual rainy day, but this time, the roads are empty. No noise. Just silence. Something about it feels strangely dull.
Rin walks alone, hopeless, staring at the sky — and then realizes,
Oh... it's a full moon tonight.
The rain is making his spectacles wet, and yet, his eyes are already soaked. He could wipe the glasses easily... but not the tears behind them.
The moonlight glows brighter than yesterday, and so, he closes his eyes.
He keeps walking through the quiet streets, hands in his pockets, counting his steps. His mind drifting without direction.
> "Maybe I should try a cigarette... would it make me feel better? Should I? Should I— No... no, no, no!"
Rin shakes the thought off. He should hurry — someone is waiting for him.
---
He steps quietly into his apartment. His close ones are there, relaxing in the family hall.
Rin changes out of his wet clothes, throws his unwashed shirts, trousers, and hoodies into the washing machine, takes a hot shower, then puts on a simple white casual outfit.
He cooks eggs and rice — enough for two.
Now, they sit together, having an ordinary conversation.
Closed One: "I'm full. I already had milk and some hot chips from your snacks."
Closed One: "So... what did you decide?"
Rin: "About what?"
Closed One: "You already forgot?"
Rin washes the dishes, finishes a few chores, then steps out to the balcony.
It's messy from the rain. The sight makes him uneasy.
He quietly tidies it up, then walks back in.
> "You know what," Rin says, "I actually thought about trying a cigarette today. I thought maybe it would give me some relief."
His close ones look at him. They pause the TV.
One of them leans forward, curious but calm.
Closed One: "So... why didn't you? You should try it then."
He know him well. He know everything.
And yet, he don't flinch when Rin speaks from his heart. He comes to the point not extending the silence anymore
Closed ones: Will you meet Nanami again?
Rin: Should I?
Closed ones: Forget what others say, your heart is trying to say something, let him speak..
Rin: I miss her.....
Closed ones: Do you think she misses you too?
Rin opened his mouth but couldn't answer.
Closed ones: The most attractive thing in a person is, his efforts. The more you struggle, the more attractive you becomes. The more you wait, the more your love goes deeper. But the efforts should be in both sides. Its never love when it is one-sided. Its a pure silence in a echoed big hall.
Rin : The Eyes-- It doesn't matter she loves me or not but, those eyes are pulling me towards her, no external force or science can compete with her eyes. Her presence -ahh. Her smell, her wet lips. Her deep mouth breath. Her every action is trying to say something, but ended up with silence
Closed ones: How did she smell like?
Rin: She smelled like hope- hope of life, it may bring back the dead ones
Closed ones: Can you even forget her? How long will you carry her memories?
You are carrying a heavy dumbell , the more you carry, the more heavier it becomes.
Rin: What else can you expect from love? Love is nothing but pain, even the Almighty couldn't stop his tears when he fell in love.
I dont want her to be mine- instead i wanna be her man.
Like my life is written for her.
No words, pure silence, just speaking through eyes.
I'm so tired. So tired. There is nothing left inside.
The emptiest thing in the world right now is my heart.
And it empty end that way- empty
I'll keep imagining her in my world of fantasies
Until she comes back...
When she comes back,
Maybe I'll make my fantasies come true
> Rin paused reality. He closed his eyes — and the darkness behind them carried him into his fantasy world.
He woke not in his apartment, Rin woke to roaring winds and shouting voices — he was a pirate. An eye patch covered his left eye. Around him, his crew panicked as waves slammed against the ship.
Navigator (shouting): "Captain! This storm isn't natural — we'll lose lives if we don't abandon course!"
Rin (calm, fierce): "There's always a way. Even if I fall with this ship, none of you will."
The storm grew wild. Rin held the wheel tightly, shouting orders to his crew. But a sudden wave hit harder than the rest. The ship tilted, and Rin lost his grip. His foot slipped. In one sharp moment, the sea swallowed him. The crew screamed his name, but he was already sinking into the dark, cold water — still hoping his crew would survive.
Rin drowned, sinking deeper until he saw what looked like the end of the ocean. Then — a sudden spark, a glow. Was it a fish? Marbles? He couldn't tell. Before he could think more, everything went black.
He woke up on warm sand, waves gently brushing the shore beside him. It was bright — morning already. He sat up, blinking, trying to remember what happened. Where was he?
Then, in the distance, he saw someone swimming toward him. A girl? No — not just a girl.
She had pink hair, shimmering blue eyes, and marble bracelets on both wrists.
A mermaid.
Rin stared, stunned.
> "Wait... no way. Mermaids are real?"
Rin took his sword and bowed before her.
> "Thank you for saving my life. I don't know how I'll ever repay you. I have nothing to give right now… but I'm a pirate captain, and I have more than five thousand crew members. Once I return to my ship, I promise—I'll give you something big.
I never believed mermaids were real. My grandma told me stories, but I thought they were just tales."
He looked into her eyes
> "What's your name?" he asked gently.
The mermaid smiled. Her voice was soft and sweet.
> "Nanami."
Rin looked around and asked,
> "Where is this place, Nanami? I'm lost from Kinley Green Ocean. It's urgent—I need to return to my crew. Can you help me?"
Nanami smiled gently and replied,
> "The storm pushed you far away from Kinley Green. You're nowhere near it now. I'm sorry, but you should let go of the hope of finding your crew again. I'm sure they made it out safe… but for now, think of your own life first."
Rin with a low voice
> "Haah… thank you for your advice. But… where am I? Is this your home? How do I even survive here?"
Nanami looked into his eyes.
> "I don't have a home. I swim across oceans, see the beauty underwater, talk to fishes. Being a mermaid isn't anything special.
But… I can help take you to the White Coast."
Rin bowed his head again.
> "Thank you… for your pure concern."
Nanami said,
> "I'll take you into the ocean with me. Just hold my hands."
Rin reached out and felt her touch.
She gently removed the eye patch from his face.
Now, with both eyes, he saw her clearly for the first time.
And he couldn't look away.
His eyes stayed on her, still and locked — like time froze around her.
It only takes a second for someone to fall in love.
That second came for Rin.
And so, his love for Nanami quietly began.
Nanami held Rin's hand and slowly led him into the ocean.
His legs touched the water, but he didn't feel it — his attention was elsewhere.
His eyes stayed on Nanami — her touch, her presence, walking beside her in the sea.
All around them, fish swam and twirled, singing soft melodies.
The sea waves gently pushed them forward, as if guiding their way.
After three days of journey, they finally neared their destination.
Rin's mind felt heavy, clouded with quiet sadness.
Soon, he couldn't see Nanami beside him anymore.
Her goodbye carried a weight he couldn't explain — no sound, no words, just silence.
Only him and the memory of her, drifting toward the white coast.
He saw it now, just a few miles away.
His heart may weigh only 300 grams — but right now, it felt like a mountain.
Nanami sighed.
"This is our goodbye… don't erase me from your mind later, okay? This feels like a dream, right?"
Rin, in a low voice:
"Hey… can I stay with you forever? In the ocean. Walking by your side. I don't want to leave you alone anymore. If there's even a small chance…"
Nanami blinked, unsure how to react.
"But… why all of a sudden? Are you okay? What's so special now?"
Rin took a deep breath.
> "Because I love you."
Nanami looked at him for a moment, unsure how to react.
Rin couldn't read her expression.
She gently took his hand and led him to the edge of the sea. The water shimmered, turning a deeper blue. Light-dancing fish surrounded them like stars.
Nanami didn't reply with words.
She leaned in… and answered him with a soft kiss.
Rin came back from his fantasies
Oh - another dream (sighs)
