Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Goddess

"Ding Ling Ling~!" The bell rang, signaling the end of class.

Lao Lu, the homeroom teacher, stormed out of the classroom, teaching materials clutched in hand, his face still a thunderous black. He shot a murderous glare at Li Qingchen, who stood outside looking sheepish, before turning and disappearing down the corridor.

Li Qingchen secretly peered after him, and once Lao Lu was completely out of sight, his spirits instantly soared. Little sister, here I come! He tightened the strap of his schoolbag and strode confidently into the classroom.

Just as he was about to head to his seat, a slender figure suddenly stopped him.

"Li Qingchen, are you okay?"

Bright eyes, willow-leaf eyebrows, a delicate face, a small, straight nose, and subtly pursed, alluring lips. Her skin was fair and tender, as if milk could be squeezed from it. This was Bai Yueya, the school belle of Dengzhou No. 2 Middle School.

Truthfully, Bai Yueya was truly beautiful. Her beauty was breathtaking, almost ethereal. More than just her looks, it was the aura she exuded from within—pure and sacred, almost fragile, like a white lotus that compelled one to protect her. In the entire No. 2 Middle School, among over a thousand female students and even teachers, there was no one else quite like her. All the boys in the school, at least more than half of them, regarded her as their goddess.

This was precisely why Li Qingchen had been utterly obsessed with her for twenty years in his previous life.

But that was just the past life.

Now, Bai Yueya stood before Li Qingchen, her expression apologetic. Her voice was soft, clear, and melodious. "I'm sorry about this morning. I wanted to go back to school and get the teacher, but then the class bell rang!"

Ha! Li Qingchen almost burst out laughing. What a powerful excuse! How could anyone possibly argue with that?

Bai Yueya was, of course, referring to the incident where Su Wangwang had led her gang to block her near the school entrance, only to be intercepted by Li Qingchen. Li Qingchen knew the full story. Bai Yueya, the class's study committee member, had reported Su Wangwang for not handing in homework and for being disrespectful. As a result, Su Wangwang was not only reprimanded by the teaching office but also punished with cleaning the toilets yesterday.

Dengzhou No. 2 Middle School was a top-tier high school, with its teaching facilities refurbished multiple times. However, a few of the toilets were over a decade old and had never been renovated. The smell inside was simply indescribable. This was why the school's delinquents preferred to gather in the alley outside rather than in the toilets. And Su Wangwang, despite her tough exterior, was quite a germaphobe! Cleaning those toilets had practically pickled her! It had made her physically ill.

So, early this morning, a furious Su Wangwang had led her crew, intending to teach Bai Yueya a lesson. But Li Qingchen happened to stumble upon them. As Bai Yueya's devoted admirer in his past life, Li Qingchen naturally wouldn't stand by and watch her be bullied. His plan had been to hold off Su Wangwang's gang while Bai Yueya ran to get help from the teachers. Unexpectedly, Li Qingchen had indeed stopped the gang, but Bai Yueya had vanished.

"It's fine, it's over, no need to mention it anymore!" Li Qingchen said, waving a dismissive hand, not caring at all as he looked at Bai Yueya, whose face was etched with guilt, on the verge of tears. He hadn't suffered any real loss, and in fact, the incident had brought him into contact with his 'little sister' again.

Though in his previous life, this incident had led to him being severely beaten by the gang. And even after returning to class, he'd suppressed his pain and skipped class to buy Bai Yueya milk tea to cheer her up, fearing her guilt. He had truly been a pathetic fool. However, it was also because of this incident that he and Su Wangwang, initially strangers, had slowly mended their relationship. So, in a way, Bai Yueya could be considered the indirect matchmaker between himself and Su Wangwang. Without her, he and his 'little tyrant' would have remained mere acquaintances.

Li Qingchen thought this was a rather good outcome. Grudges? He'd simply cut them in two. It was better for everyone to move on.

Ignoring Bai Yueya, who seemed to want to say more, Li Qingchen bypassed her and walked towards the corner of the classroom. There, his 'little sister,' Su Wangwang, was hunched over her desk, a furious scowl on her face, as if she wanted to bite someone into eight pieces, diligently writing something.

Su Wangwang was so engrossed that she didn't notice Li Qingchen quietly approaching her side. Li Qingchen, without ceremony, leaned down and looked over her shoulder.

"April 21, Sunny." "Today, I took my brothers to block that little white lotus early in the morning, ready to avenge her report from yesterday, but that little slave ruined everything!" "He's a bastard with no martial ethics. He took advantage of me not paying attention and attacked me (crossed out)!" "Unbelievable! I'm the leader of No. 2 Middle School, and I was actually bullied by a little slave who only knows how to orbit around a woman's butt all day long!" "Dead slave! Stinky slave!" "What's with the sneak attack? If you have the guts, challenge me!" "I could turn you into a real slave with just one kick and make you serve your Queen Mother Bai properly!" "Woo-woo-woo~! Husband, I'm not clean, you don't dislike me, do you? That guy even stuck his tongue out, disgusting."

Li Qingchen's lips twitched as he read the crooked, childish words in the diary. He knew Su Wangwang kept a diary, but he had never looked at it before. He hadn't realized that this 'little tyrant,' whose academic performance was quite average, wrote such a naive diary, comparable to the composition level of a primary school student!

As for the "husband" written above, Li Qingchen didn't pay it much mind. He knew very well that this so-called "husband" was merely a paper figure—a poster of a certain long-haired star named Zheng, with a dragon tattooed on his chest, holding a machete, plastered above Su Wangwang's bed. Indeed, it was that Causeway Bay leader, Chan Ho-nam!

In the last few years, the Young and Dangerous movie series had swept the country. It was under the influence of these films that Su Wangwang had transformed into a 'little tyrant'. She had even changed her nickname to "Su Axi," calling herself the leader of Second Middle School. Of course, even though she was having the time of her life these past two years, this would become a dark stain on her history in the future. Later, whenever Su Wangwang saw this particular star on screen, she'd feel so embarrassed she'd want to dig a hole and hide.

Watching Su Wangwang "click click click" bite her pen cap, her brow furrowed in concentration as she searched for vocabulary, Li Qingchen kindly leaned down and pointed to her notes. "The 'unbelievable' part is written incorrectly. It should be 'unbelievable position', not 'unbelievable to.'"

"Woooo—!" Su Wangwang, startled from her concentration, shrieked. She leaned back, and in a comical tumble, the 'loli' fell to the ground, dumbfounded.
