I couldn’t move.
I wanted to run. I wanted to escape. I wanted to go to a place where he couldn't possibly find me. But where? My sister and I were cornered. They were too strong. Too powerful to be stopped. Even the witches and the gamma soldiers from my father’s elite unit were unable to hold back the enemies and secure the manor. There was no hope for me or my sister. I could only rely on myself and my sister’s abilities to save ourselves. No one was there to help us now. No one was coming.
My body was shaking so badly. I was scared. And so was Diana. And all I could do was whisper to my sister that I was there to protect her, no matter what. I would never let anything bad happen to her. I swore to Mom that I would protect Diana with my life, and that was what I intended to do.
