Pepple was walking down the Main Street toward the job center. Pepple's heart was beating a 100 miles a second. This was the first time he ever walked down the Main Street. Normally he would walked through the back alleys to avoid the stares and looks of disgust. But today he needed to deal with them for his future with Adelaide. "Pepple need to do this. Pepple do this." Pepple started motivating himself to keep going. The people he was walking pass faces scowled more from his whispering. Then he stopped when he noticed things got darker. He looked up to see why. He's good eye was left awe struck. He finally made it to the job center. It was humongous like the size of an elephant to a cat compare to Adelaide's house. Pepple looked around and saw so many people entering the building. He took a deep breath and went inside.
The moment he walked inside Pepple was left speechless. This was by far the biggest building Pepple had ever been in. Not to mention the amount of people in here. There to dozens if not hundreds of people doing a variety of things. Pepple stranded there for a moment and gazed at it all. Just then a man bumped into him. The guy was at 6 feet and a half. He looked at Pepple with annoyance and growing anger. "Watch where your going shrimp or next time I'll squash you." Pepple simply nodded his head. The man walked away to finish what he came to do. Pepple shook his head and looked around to find where he needed to go next. He then spotted the reception desk and woddle his way over.
After a moment waiting in line it was finally Pepple's turn. Pepple had to stand a bit back so the receptionist could see him. "Hello my name is Emma, How can I help you sir?" Emma was a early twenty year old with short bowel cut hair with bangs covering one eye. "Pepple want to start working." Emma nodded. "Would be one permanent stable paying job or temporary high pay jobs?" Pepple was left taken a back. "What different?" "Well the first you would get paid an average wage for as long as you were able to work. The second you would get higher than average pay but it would only be a temporary time working at that job." Pepple thought about it and decided to pick the higher paying job. "Pepple do second one." Emma nodded and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. "I just need you to fill out this paper then we can start looking for a job for you." Pepple looked at the paper concerned. "Pepple can't write or read." Emma looked at the old short man with pity. "Ok I'll help you fill it out." Pepple nodded and thanked her.
Once the two of them were done filling out the paperwork Emma took it to the back. A few minutes later she came back out with a card and handed it to Pepple. "What this?" "That is your id card. It keeps track of your rank. Right now you start as f-rank, meaning you can only get jobs that are f-rank which are the lowest paying job." Pepple Nodded in understanding. "You can be promoted to a higher rank after you completed ten successful jobs and higher ranked jobs pay way more than the previous rank. And remember that some jobs can require you to have certain skills." Pepple nodded. Again. After Emma saw that he understood she pulled out some documents from beneath the desk. "This are all the current f-rank jobs. Please pick one." Pepple looked back at her concern. "Oh that's right, well what type of job are you looking for?" Pepple thought for a moment. "Where Pepple can learn new things." Emma was caught off guard. She didn't expect that the old man would ask for a job like that. She looked through all the jobs and placed one down in front of him. "This is a chef's job. They need a cook and are willing to teach them." Pepple nodded. "They are willing to pay ten copper coins a week." "Pepple agreed to job." Emma nodded and grabbed official looking paper and started writing things down. "Give this to the owners of the restaurant and they'll know your the one from the job center." "Pepple thank." Emma then grabbed another paper this one blank. "Since you said you didn't know how to read and write, I'll draw you a map to get you to the job." "Pepple thank ma'am again." Emma looked taken a back. She never thought a man close to three times her age would call her ma'am. "It's…no problem. Now remember this more than anything once your time is over come back here and I'll be able to update your id card." Pepple nodded in understanding. "That's it your first day starts tomorrow." With that Pepple thanked her again and left.

Pepple was walking down the street to his new job. Adelaide wait for Pepple. Pepple promise to save money. From what Pepple could understand from the map he was one more turn to his new job. Once he passed the turn he saw the building that matched what Emma Drawed on the paper. It looked like an average restaurant. Instead of stone it was made of wood. Pepple stopped at the entrance. Pepple was very nervous. This was his very first official job. But he remembered Adelaide and walked in.
After he entered he looked around and saw that there was only a handful of people here. Three of them were drunks and the others were two soldiers. Pepple looked and saw a man behind the bar. Pepple hobbled over. "Excuse Pepple." The man looked down. He was average build similar to Chris but heavier and had dark brown hair. "What is it you want?" Pepple reach in his pocket and places the paper Emma gave him. The man looked at it and he's face tightened. "Or the one they send?" Pepple nodded. The man just shook his head. "Well I should have expected this when I set the wage so low. Do you know how to cook?" Pepple shook his head. "Well then I guess I'm going to have to teach you. Alright head to the back and wash your hands and we'll get started in a minute. Pepple nodded and head to the back.
