Chapter 7 - The Headmaster’s Vision

Chapter: The Headmaster's Vision

The Headmaster had gone in search of a new division. Surprisingly, it was being led by his most trusted friend Barry. But Barry had never mentioned it to him. The Headmaster's heart was filled with doubt. Had Barry betrayed him? The thought haunted him as he returned to the hostel.

But something else was wrong Cristerfor was missing.

The Headmaster reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch of glowing powder. He whispered the spell, "Teka Tekk."

Every student turned their heads toward him. The atmosphere shifted tense and heavy. The hostel wardens held the students back. As the Headmaster threw the powder to the ground, something eerie began to happen.

His body twisted unnaturally legs breaking, arms bending backward. He rose a few inches into the air. His eyes turned from white to pitch black. He looked possessed.

Suddenly, the camera of reality zoomed into his eyes revealing the visions in his mind.

It was a cold, dark forest.

The Headmaster saw himself walking through it, soaked by heavy rain. Strange and beautiful creatures watched from the shadows, but none attacked. Thunder rumbled overhead. Crimson lightning lit up the sky.

His hair clung to his face; raindrops fell from his fingers. He tried casting a spell but magic didn't work here.

Back outside his vision, the crowd was panicking. A warden tried reversing time, but it had no effect the Headmaster remained floating, frozen in the grip of the spell.

From the crowd stepped Desart, a loyal admirer of the Headmaster, who was considered the most powerful magician in the magical world. Desart was afraid, but determined.

Teachers from every department arrived including Barry.

"What happened?" Barry asked.

"He used Teka Tekk," replied a warden.

Barry immediately ordered the evacuation of all students from the hostel. The school was massive thousands of hostels spread across the magical world. Magical unicorns pulled ancient train compartments to carry students to safety through the thick fog and rain.

In one compartment, Mi Neon, Cristi, and others sat quietly. Cristi clutched her magical locket, unable to stop thinking about Cristerfor. Outside, lightning lit up the skies.

Desart, unable to contain his curiosity, snuck back to the now-abandoned hostel. Only the faint green glow from the Headmaster's body lit the darkness. Desart reached out and touched him and in an instant, his consciousness was pulled inside the same vision.

Desart found himself running through the forest. He didn't know why he just ran. His head felt disconnected, like he was trapped in someone else's body.

Meanwhile, back outside, Barry angry and scared confronted Desart.

"Why did you touch him? Do you know how serious this is?"

"So he's dreaming?" Desart asked.

Barry replied, "You have no idea what this is. You'll understand someday. But for now don't speak of this to anyone."

Barry left to help relocate the school to another hostel.

Inside the Vision Again:

The Headmaster kept walking through the magical forest. Far ahead, a beam of sunlight broke through the storm and shone on a tree standing in clear water. Its roots were visible beneath the surface twisting like veins. It had grown on water alone. It was the most natural thing he had ever seen.

This was the Tree grown in very clean water and root can be seen very clearly and it is very big.

On its dark branches stood a man with glowing red eyes.

The Headmaster realized: this was no ordinary dream. This was the same magical realm that had taken Cristerfor.

He knew that whoever lived in this realm could see him. The man with red eyes stared back surprised and afraid.

How could someone enter his domain?

The red-eyed man leapt down, striking the Headmaster with a magical beam. But the Headmaster dodged at the last moment.

Magic didn't work here, and he was too close to being consumed by the light.

He looked up at the sky and shouted, "Over!"

The vision shattered.

The Headmaster gasped as he returned to the real world Cristerfor was there, holding his hand, asleep.

He woke Cristerfor. "Are you okay?"

Cristerfor blinked. "Yeah Why are you in my bed?"

The Headmaster smiled faintly and told him everything, then took him to a safe hostel.

But Cristerfor had no memory of going missing. To him, it had just been sleep.

The Headmaster, however, couldn't stop thinking about the red-eyed man. Cristerfor had once mentioned a figure just like him someone who attacked him back in the human world.

The Headmaster immediately teleported to the Great Magical Library. He searched for one particular book:

"The Root of Life".

He flipped to page eight.

What he saw made his heart stop.
