Manhattan,New York City.

Antonio sat watching his warehouse caught up in flames on his phone . His gaze hardened, he felt speechless over receiving the sudden news of the fire outbreak that took over his second biggest warehouse in the city.

The young man was angry, and that wasn't hidden from the way his muscles were fisted tightly, if his men had done a proper job of providing the bastard that was behind the incident , it surely wouldn't have ended up nice for them tonight.

The fire brigade did their best to curb the spread of the fire from burning down everything, but the fire started off inside, then spread further outside which didn't enable an easy passage for them.

Reporters were running helter skelter trying to get any information, since that's what they do best. Always on his tail, just to get any silly comment that might write him off further, for destroying his fathers business in his absence.

But he knew the reason behind all this, he knew who was all behind all these humiliation.

Roman Ivanov..

An Italian business mogul who has made it his aim to take his place both in the business world, and that of the underworld.

The footsteps that the young man heard coming at his back, brought him out of his thoughts, since he needed an explanation for all of this.

"Boss." Jake called him, before he looked up from his phone to see his second right hand man and few of his men here in the dungeon.

Right at the center of the room knelt a bloody looking man, who looked half beaten to death, but for the fact that he's still breathing didn't make Antonio feel satisfied that he's suffering enough.

The man half unconscious was his manager, in charge of looming over the affairs of the warehouse.

If there's anything that Antonio hated, it was unfaithfulness and traitors ( jerks) who had no place in this world, who always risked their safety for selfish desires.

After watching the video, he had received information that the Manager did not show up at work today, hence, he had booked an emergency flight for him and his family out of the country.

Without saying much, Antonio stood up from his seat and looked right over the wall where all kinds of torture devices were, huming a song to himself that one will think that he wasn't actually angry to begin with.

"You know considering the years that you have worked for me, Thomas. I certainly didn't think that you would be so foolish as to think of betraying me." Antonio said to the man, before his eyes landed on a blowtorch, which he took excitedly and turned around to give his attention to who deserved it.

He dragged the man up by his hair as he let out an ear piercing scream from the force.

"I.. didn't mean to do it, s.sir…" The manager cried. "My daughter was sick, so I had to do something to save her." He added.

Excuses!

Ofcourse, he will have one to back up his selfish acts!

"Silly excuses!" Antonio yelled and pushed his face right to the floor, dragged it against the tough surface.

The painful cries of pity filled up the dungeon, but mercy was far from coming his way. He's the one who called the devil and now that he's here, there's no going back.

"Who set you up for the task?" Antonio asked, dragging him up again.

He just needed a name, no, he knew who but he had to question the stupid man to know if he's willing to watch his whole family die, or to tell him what he wants.

"I can't.. I couldn't see his face.. it was dark, all i knew was that I had to set the warehouse on fire if I was to save Cecilia."

Ofcourse, there's no way Roman will come out of the shadows to do his dirty work. The motherfucker didn't even have the balls to step his feet into his city after he caused his father's accident.

He knows that the moment he does that, he's a dead man, that's why he's playing with him behind the shadows.

"Please..You have to forgive me sir. I'm.. so.."

Antonio didn't even allow him to finish his words before he ended him in one go with his gun. Hence, he didn't even deserve his attention one bit.

He's not the one he wants.

"Dispose of his body right at his family home, and have his wife and daughter work at the brothel to pay back the loss i encountered tonight." He said before leaving for his office.

Jake followed behind him and took his jacket from him, while he unbuttoned his shit, before he let his anger let lose by knocking the drink off his table as the glass shattered against the floor.

"This is the second in a row that Roman has gotten the secret locations of my warehouse, Jake. Someone is betraying me among my men." Antonio said frustratingly, pushing his hair back before letting out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry boss." Jane apologized.

"If you are sorry, then get to work to fish out the traitor among us before things get more serious. What was Roman's last location?"

"Our informant…" Jake tried to speak.

"How sure are we that he hadn't bought our informant over? How trustworthy is he, Jake?"

"I can assure you that Marco is good at what he does and won't betray us." Jake assured him.

"He tried to kill my father and have the blame pinned on me, and for the past few months, none of our informants has been able to gather his exact location and you expect me to trust this, Marco?" Antonio asked frustratingly.

"Perhaps I could go instead of…"

"No, I want you here with me, with Arianna back and with my son existing, who knows who else he's going to come after. I just need one opportunity to strike at him, Jake, just one and i believe that you will help me get that." Antonio said, patting his shoulder.

"I won't fail you, boss." Jake replied.

"How's Arianna, is she awake yet?" Antonio asked, going to clean up his bloody hands.

"Not yet, sir."

"How is the preparation to move her things into my room going?" He added.

"Everything is going just as you instructed sir, but your uncle called this evening."

Antonio paused to look at Jake. "What was the reason for his call?"

Unlike his father, his uncle did not fail to show him that he wasn't accepted into the family. The only reason why he hasn't killed him yet was because of his father. His uncle has always tried to coerce his father into handing over the business to his stupid son, Jason.

"He demands that the Madam and her daughter be brought back home."

Antonio scoffed at Jake's words. "He's seriously asking for his own death, if he thinks he's going to turn me into his puppet. That's enough for tonight, I need to see my son."

Just at the mention of his son, all worries died down on his face which Jake noticed too.

"I can't believe that I'm a father now, Jake." He said to him, going over to change his bloodied shirt so as to not allow the filthy blood of that manager to touch Liam.

"Congratulations are in order, boss."

Antonio smiled at him. "That it is."

He might be a devil that had no heart, but Liam was going to be the one to change that. But that is if it's possible.
