I know my words were rude and cruel but I can't think of anything to make him stop. He needs to stop because he’s already getting married and I promised his mother that I won’t get involved with him anymore. I know I hurt his mother before when I told them I wanted to dissolve the mate bond with Nathan and I don’t want to disappoint her again even when I think she didn’t really consider me as her daughter like what she told me before.
Nathan was stuck and confused with my words. "Good. Let him feel the sting of rejection for once," she growled as I walked away from Nathan without looking back. The fading mate bond between us pulsed like an open wound, but I refused to let it weaken my resolve.
