Zixuan didn't get to leave the house, not because of a change of plan or anything, but because of his mother.
She was seated in the dining room as if she was specifically waiting for him.
"Where are you going?" Mrs. Fu raised her eyes as she saw him coming down the stairs.
"For a stroll."
"Why don't you wait until the twins are up, then you can take them for a stroll," Mrs. Fu said.
"I want it to be a 'me' time thing. And why are you so interrogative? I just want to go for a stroll."
"Because I know you want to see Haoran." Mrs. Fu didn't bother being subtle or sneaky; she was blunt.
Zixuan's eyes showed no shock. He wasn't surprised that she had made such a guess. "Yes, I want to see him."
"Zixuan." Mrs. Fu called.
"Hmmm?" He hummed. Why was his name being called?
