Haoran pulled the car into the driveway. They were finally home.
"Did I hurt you?" Haoran asked carefully, noticing Zixuan had been quiet.
Zixuan turned to him with a carefree smile. "No, let's go in."
Haoran nodded, relieved. He quickly got out of his side and opened the door for Zixuan like a gentleman.
Interlocking fingers with Haoran, Zixuan pulled him into the apartment. Haoran's eyes couldn't leave their joined hands, a small smile forming on his lips.
"Nice," he murmured.
Reaching the door, Zixuan unlocked it with his key and pushed it open. From his behavior, it was clear he was already used to this routine.
"Cook for me," Zixuan's voice came out, breaking the silence. His hand slipped away from Haoran's.
"Do we have to separate?" Haoran asked, staring at his now empty hand.
"Eh?" Zixuan turned to him, a little confused. Separate from what?
"Hands. You were holding my hand before," Haoran said, waving his empty hand.
Ha!
