"Maizey Shigaraki, Are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Adam Leister, are you ready?"
"Yes sir."
"Yami--"
"Get on with it, kid. I don't got all day."
Captain Yuno sighs. "The battle will commence in three...two...one!"
Adam, my 'new friend' launches towards Captain Yami. I shake my head. I expected this much from him. Going straight for the kill. I follow him, and watch as he attempts to strike Captain Yami. In the blink of an eye, Yami is in the middle of the colosseum, and takes his Katana from its sheath and brings it down to the ground, sending a wave of dark magic hurtling towards me and Adam. I barely dodge it, whilst Adam shoots up into the air and lands on Yami's other side. He's in the middle of both of us. He goes at Yami for several minutes, while Yami dodges. I follow behind Adam while this goes on. Finally, I jump in the middle of Yami, wielding my sword. "You're as dumb as I predicted, Adam." I say, crossing my arms. "Your strategical planning is that of a fourth grader." I turn to Yami. "Sorry, I'm going to cut in." I smile and turn back to my less important opponent. Adam laughs. "Unlike you, I do something to get ahead. I'd rather do something, than doing nothing." I giggle, then my giggles turn into a burst of laughter. "Is that what you think i've been doing? You're funny. No, I've been memorizing your fight style. Seeing how you approach your opponents." Adam shakes his head, smirking. "See, that's the thing about women. You all think about things too much--"
Before he can fully finish his sentence, I launch toward him, the ground cracking at my speed. I use a bit of mana and summon my fire fist, punching him in the face. Adam slams against the wall, grunting. He shoots back up. "I'm not gonna let a girl beat me."
"Woman," I correct, running at him. "I'm a woman! And I'll show you how much I can really beat you." I punch him, then send a wave of fire, which he resists with his wind magic. My fire magic circles him. That should keep him busy for a while. I launch toward Captain Yami. He goes to move, but before he can, I get pushed into a pillar. "Oh, you're not getting to him that easily. That's my prize!" Adam yells, heading for Yami. I sigh. "Man," I say nonchalantly. "I really didn't want to use the rest of my mana. This sucks." I run towards the both of them, who are battling. I can't help but notice that Captain Yami's strength is incredible. He moves with incredible speed, delivering blows so powerful the colosseum rumbles. These are his half assed blows. I'd hate to see his hard ones. Slowly, fire starts to envelope me, and I take out my sword, excalibur. It sparks, lightning forming around it. I can see that Adam is also going for the big prize. Yami see's the both of us approaching. He sighs. "You two are annoying," He yawns, bracing himself. Before he can, I stick my sword to the ground, leaving it behind as I keep headed towards Yami. The lighting travels ahead of me and hits the Captain, stunning him. I then pull a knife from my boot. I can see Adam, ready to aim with his battle axe. As he see's me approaching. He yells and throws his axe towards Yami. I roll my eyes and throw the knife, retreating. Yami wasn't going to let us get that close. I grab excalibur and use my fire as a shield. There's a huge boom and then... silence. I vanquish my fire, and notice my nose and head are bleeding. A few scratches, but that's it. I huff, wiping sweat and blood off of my forehead. I limp towards the middle, and see captain Yami. He looks at me. "Fire and lightning magic?" He says. I don't reply. Adam runs up to us. He looks at Yami's face and grins. "I got you," he says, fist bumping the air. "Hell yeah! I got you!" He cheers as I search Yami's body. "What you looking for, cutie?" Adam taunts. "You looking for that tiny blade, maybe? If so, sorry." He stretches. "I think my wind magic malfunctioned and sent your blade off before you could--"
"Oh my God, shut up. I marked him before you."
"No you didn't."
"Really? I say, looking at Yami's back. Yami looks at me. "What're ya' talkin' about?" He says. "You didn't cut me."
"You said I had to mark you. You didn't say how." I show the other captains on the stage the lightning strikes on the Captains back. Silence. Yuno stands up, clearing his throat. "Good job, contestants. Captain Yami will escort you to the med bay, then you will wait for further instructions. You may proceed."
