Chapter 21 - I speak several different universal languages (P.3)

Grandfather Ouyang Ningkai leaned back after finishing the rest of his drink.

The warmth of the liquor still lingering on his breath as he sat his glass down on the coffee table.

"All right, it's getting late."

He stood up with a stretch and reached out to you'na.

He ruffled his granddaughter's hair with a rare softness in his expression, eyes crinkling.

"Goodnight dear, my girl. Rest well."

With that, he stood and walked off, his footsteps fading into the distance.

You'na didn't move until she heard the faint creak of the door closing behind him.

Only then did she shift, her sharp gaze cutting toward the corner shadows where the little eavesdropping pixies were hiding.

"Alright," she said flatly, her tone carrying weight. "Come out. Original size. Now."

The pixies froze, wide-eyed, their tiny wings trembling.

Shock spread across their faces.

Still, they obeyed, shimmering into their larger forms in front of her.

Their hesitation couldn't mask the way they stole glances at her, like they couldn't decide if they should be wary or impressed.

One of them, however, never looked away. His gaze was locked on her as if she was the only one in the room.

He was strikingly handsome—sharp jawline, piercing eyes, lean but muscular frame.

When her eyes trailed down, she noticed the faint green veins along his arms, glowing with vitality. A smirk tugged at her lips.

"Mhmm" her eyes traced his figure slowly eyes shining in unhidden desire.

'Oh'

You'na thought.

'That one could definitely satisfy and give me a good time.'

The handsome pixie stepped forward, bowing his head slightly.

His voice was deep and smooth, but there was heat in it. "Would you… join me at the gathering tonight?"

You'na didn't answer immediately.

Instead, she lifted her hand and cast a spell, her qi swirling around her in a rush of energy.

In an instant, she teleported herself to her room.

She casting another spell and now her casual wear transformed into a sleek dress—white and black, open back, draped off her shoulders, the hem brushing just mid-thigh.

Tsk.

She glanced at herself in the mirror and froze, her expression contorting.

Her mouth opened wide, almost screaming in horror.

What. Happened. To. My. Plump. Ass?!

She spun in place, twisting to catch a better angle, only to confirm the tragedy. Her once-proud curves were gone. Flat. Nonexistent. Her heart cracked right then and there.

"This is betrayal," she muttered, clutching her chest dramatically. "The devastation is real."

She sighed and pouted at her reflection. But as quickly as the heartbreak hit, it faded. She lifted her chin, shoulders squaring.

"Fine. Squats. Wall sets. I'll rebuild the booty empire. Watch me."

She refused to let it kill her mood. With a flick of her hair, she stepped back out to where the three pixies waited.

Their stares lingered on her new form, clearly impressed, though they tried—and failed—not to gape.

You'na strode into the center of her grandmother's spirit garden with natural authority, slipping her hand into her soul space.

A faint shimmer of gold and silver dust spilled between her fingers.

Pixie dust.

She still had it all, carried from her past life, every last belonging intact.

The pixies gasped as she tossed it upward, the sparkling particles swirling like a storm.

Her lips curved into a smirk as she spoke the password.

The gatekeeper appeared, bowing with immediate recognition, and without hesitation opened the door for her.

She walked through as if it were her own private entrance, not even waiting for her so-called hosts to usher her in.

Gasps erupted behind her.

They were stunned.

Who was this woman?

How did she know the realm's password?

Where had she gotten so much pixie dust?

The questions drowned their minds as they trailed after her through the gate.

When You'na stepped through, the familiar radiance washed over her.

The sky glowed with three luminous moons and a purple sun, casting surreal light over forests of dazzling color—trees dripping with glowing blossoms, rivers sparkling like glass, and flowers bending toward her presence as if they remembered her.

She inhaled deeply.

"Ahh. It's been a while," she murmured, smiling to herself.

"The pixie realm's parties never disappoint."

And as she walked with confidence through the realm's paths, it was clear who truly belonged.

The pixies had invited her, yes—but her stride made it feel like she had invited them.

This is the type of good time she was looking for.
