"Get up. Let's go to the room," Liam said.
"Yes," Yu said calmly.
She fell asleep right on the bench, Liam thought.
Yu quietly stood up, and Liam began walking.Yu reached out her hand to Liam. He took it, and they walked along the cobbled path.
...
"Liam, why do people kiss?" Yu asked.
Looks like I missed an interesting scene.
Evening was falling. Insects were already gathering near the streetlamps.
"I don't know. But they themselves call it love."
"I see. Then they didn't lie. They were just wrong."
A mosquito landed on Liam, but no one swatted it.
'They'? So someone was kissing. Yu must've walked up to them. Poor souls.
"Hmm~ The girl said it feels good. Maybe they kissed to enjoy it?"
Yu stopped. She was still holding Liam's hand, so he stopped too.
They stood not far from the dormitory entrance. Students passed by, heading to their rooms.
"What is it?"
Yu stepped closer...
…Is she trying to test it?
Yu came right up to him and leaned in.
Their lips met briefly — and just as quickly parted.
Neither of them changed expression.
"So?" Liam asked.
"Not pleasant. Not unpleasant. Just... nothing."
"As expected. We're already at the entrance. No reason to stand here longer. Let's go."
"Yes."
"Do you all need something?" Liam asked the students staring at them.
...
No one said anything. They awkwardly returned to what they were doing.
Liam walked into the dorm, Yu beside him.
