Jason fell through and arrived in the Time-Verse, the space someone has to travel through before arriving to their destination. He seemed to be dragged through the cosmic tubes that sucked him into a timeline.
He arrives and he's instantly dropped from the sky, from above he can see a ruined city, most likely New Eidon. There's something off, it looks way to familiar, the hospitals, the design of the skyscrapers up ahead..There was no doubt. This was The Paradox City. He lands on top of a building, sword still loosely gripped in his hand.
The sounds of burning wood and screaming people. Although he realizes the danger, he doesn't see the cause. He jumps down and lands on the ground flawlessly. There's people screaming all around, some scrambling to help loved ones. Before Jason could fully assess the situation An explosions ringed through his ears as he looks to his left, cars sent flying through the air, people dying on impact in front of their loved ones. In a rush, Jason runs into the explosion.
When he reaches what's in the middle, his eyes can't keep up, a blur of two figures in close, quick, combat. Jason can't even jump in or assess the situation, just standing in front of it, eyes widened, sweat dripping dow his forehead, weapon tightly gripped for no reason.
2 hours prior.
Chrono-Savior rested at his house, the only place where he can relax and be who he truly is. Finally back to being Chrono-Savior as he tries on the suit once more. The blue covering the top of his suit while inching down his body. Along with the royal blue cape, the rest is a beautiful golden.
Far away from Chrono-Savior's house, a portal was opened. A large figure stepped out, The Warlord, supercharged and with a mission.
The Dimensional Prison
The Tyrant loomed over the dimensional prisoners. Searching for the right person to carry out his mission, to get rid of Chrono-Savior for good. His gaze lingered on The Warlord variant, standing tall, muscular. His pride was ruined, and his honor lost.
The Tyrant smirked, another one who just needs a little spark. "I can revive you, make you useful again. I've had criminals in here for far worse than breaking a Chrono-Watch." Although his words were true, The Warlord only adjusted his position, paying him no mind.
"I can make everyone worship you. If you just listen to me." This made the former warlord's head turn with curiosity, for once, he was willing to bow down. Only for his own gain.
"Whatever you're going with this…when it's done, I want my own timeline. One where people worship me, and only me. One where no variant can ever enter."
The man stood up and faces the Prime variant, a dark look in his eyes. With that, The Tyrant upgraded him, made him better. Over the time it took for Prime Aoi to prepare to fight The Archiect and while he was away fighting him, Engineers and Architects rebuilt his broken, rusty armor. With this upgrade, the downside was that his Chrono-Watch was stripped away from him permanently.
The Arrival.
Chrono-Savior, busy with making minor upgrades to his Chrono-Arm, stares outside of the window. A shadow lured over his window, standing outside. Causing him to look up and tighten his grip on his cybernetic arm.
Within a moments notice, the window is broken through. Sending glass flying in different directions, Chrono-Savior instinctively applied his arm.
"This is the variant that took on The Tyrant? If this is his rival, then I can probably become The Tyrant!" The Warlord smirked as the dust clears. Revealing his upgraded armor, completely reinforced, a purple armored beast with neon pink outlines humming with power.
"Who're you? Another variant? You should've came sooner." Chrono-Savior's workshop was in ruins. But he's in peak condition now. Before the Warlord can even ready his new and improved War Hammer, Chrono-Savior rushed in and delivered a strong right hook.
The power and strength of his punch was enough to push The Warlord with extreme force as he almost crashed into the building across from him.
"You're strong! But I have time today..!" He cracked his neck and dashed in, dragging his Hammer along the concrete. He swung, Chrono-Savior caught the hammer with his bare hand. The impact made dust fly in all directions. Cars being lifted off the ground, street lights ripped out the concrete.
"I'm done playing around." He growled, his Chrono-Arm whirring as he raised his fist, and strikes the large man directly in the face with full force.
The Warlord, standing nearly 9 feet tall, is send hurtling through the air, smashing directly into a nearby house. Dust and debris erupt like an explosion. The hero wastes no time, bursting through the air using the small jet engines located at the sole of his feet.
Before he could ram him, The Warlord swings his hammer. hitting Chrono-Savior directly in his core mid flight. His strength is enough to send Chrono-Savior tumbling along the concrete before crashing through dozens of other homes.
They both rush in, clashing against fist and Hammer. The impact triggers a slight time collapse. Chrono-Savior makes the first move, The Warlord blocks and counters but the hero blocks an attack that should've hit. He grabs his hammer as he uses his mini jets to ascend into the air at an unbelievable level of speed.
"You're so strong!! Maybe I was wrong to doubt your power! You are worthy!" The Warlord almost seemed ecstatic at the fact he's fighting someone who can actually compete with him. Once Chrono-Savior had carried him hundreds of feet into the air, The Warlord throws a haymaker mid flight, which he catches, letting a small smirk flash on his face before reeling his arms back and throwing The Warlord with all of his might, right into the center of Paradox City.
The second he sinks into the ground, a shockwave rings through the city, windows shattering, Cars being exploded into pieces as well as small buildings and shops. The aftermath is catastrophic. City in ruins, cars completely destroyed as massive spiderweb cracks scattered across the ground.
Chrono-Savior stands idle in the air. As if he's expecting The Warlord to come back.
As if it was fate, a figure leapt up from the rubble, heading straight towards Chrono-Savior at the speed of a meteor.
"Is this some sort of game to you..?" He said like it was an insult, before descending rapidly to meet him. Fist raised, his War Hammer ready.
The two clash in the sky, creating shockwaves that look like fireworks. Before citizens knew it, the two powerful beings descending before crashing into a skyscraper.
The Warlord hurled through the air before crashing into the concrete. He sees an opportunity and throws his Hammer straight at Chrono-Savior.
He's barely able to react as he uses both hands to stop the hammer. He finally gets ahold of it, before snapping it in half and throwing it to the side. "A Warlord who can only rely on a single weapon. You're helpless." He lands in front of him.
The Warlord goes from excitement to pure rage and irritation. He becomes more barbaric in his actions, running towards Chrono-Savior. He throws an uppercut. Chrono-Savuor stops it with both hands before throwing him over his shoulder. The large man's body hitting the ground creates a small crater. Chrono-Savior spends no time with a follow up, gripping The Warlord's neck before hurling him, making him crash into a nearby car.
The Warlord quickly gets up and clashes with Chrono-Savior once again. Their movements appear as a blur as fists are thrown.
Punches, uppercuts, elbow, knees—are thrown at seemingly the same time.
Jason's arrival
When Chrono-Savior turned around for nearly a second, he spots Jason, watching with his sword held tightly. The Warlord takes the split second opportunity to grab Chrono-Savior by the head, holding him slightly above the ground.
Jason stood there, stunned, torn. Too much on his mind to think, too stunned to move as Chrono-Savior receives repeated blows to his gut.
As the hero proceeds to get beaten, the world begins to slow down as he activates his Chrono-Watch's core. He falls to the ground as The Warlord reacts and responds with a flurry of different punches in every direction. Chrono-Savior dodges every strike. To him, everything moves in slow motion, to The Warlord, he's dodging his hits at the speed of light. Before he knew it, Chrono-Savior dodges another hit before landing a punch directly on his face. The strength put behind that hit was so immense, it caved The Warlord's face in.
The Warlord stumbles back. Blood leaking, face bruised as blood leaks from his head. He falls down with a loud thud, defeated, at the cost of Paradox City.
Chrono-Savior stands before the defeated Warlord, Chrono-Arm whirring as the knuckles are stained with blood. He looks to his right, Jason still lost in thought.
"Master…I just realized that…" Jason gasped, urgency in his voice. "I left…I left him. Aoi Takamura..is in the hands of The Tyrant.." Jason finally says, losing his grip on his katana in despair as it falls to the ground. While Jason looked genuinely concerned, Chrono-Savior looked at him with a blank expression.
"So..?" He replied, no concern or mercy in his tone.
"What..??—Do you realize what this means?! We failed to save another variant! He's going to die!" Jason raised his voice, fists clenched.
"Why does it matter..? Why does this single variant matter more to you than the rest?" He looked at Jason with a cold look, before getting closer to him.
"I—"
"There's no explanation." Chrono-Savior interrupted, carrying more venom in his tone. "Any variant that's not stronger than me, is insignificant. I'm sorry Jason, but he's not really that important."
"What're you saying?! He's a human being..!..Is something up with your brain?!" Jason paused, realizing that Chrono-Savior's nature might be as unpredictable as many said. There's one thing that's true, he's a hero. But does he want to be a hero? With this new viewpoint, he picks up his katana, and slices a dimensional tear to another timeline.
"Master, I'll let you figure this out yourself." He looks back, Chrono-Savior's expression remains unreadable. Jason steps through his tear, traveling to another timeline.
"You can't travel to the fortress. If you could, I would've been through with The Tyrant." He mutters under his breath, fist balled up. The air makes his cape flow in the wind, filled of microscopic debris as the hero falls witness to his own destruction.
The Dimensional Fortress.
In an artificial timeline, impossible to travel to if you're not apart of the TRA. Inside the fortress, locked deep inside the corridors, is Kira Yuunagi, former general of the TRA. Her hair messy, breathing heavy, and a taste of blood in her mouth. Her arms were chained to the wall as TRA agents stood before her, non-lethal weapons held in their hands as they beat her over and over again.
"Pledge yourself to the TRA once again." One of the TRA said flatly. Almost as if he was being controlled. The second agent said the exact same thing.
Kira's breathing became heavy as she struggled to resist. She barely said anything, but this time, she wasn't having it. "The Tyrant couldn't get real life agents?? You people aren't even real." She said, venom laced with the tone of her voice. When Kira spoke, the intensity of their strikes kept building as Kira couldn't take any more pain.
After minutes that felt like hours, the door opens, revealing Prime Aoi. He has a maclious smile stuck to his face, he was without his gauntlet, he carried the sense that he planned what was going to happen, and improvised.
"Welcome back, Kira. Don't worry, you won't die so soon. Not until you completely lost your usefulness." He held her head up, bloody and bruised, but still alive. "You can be useful again. You can still be apart of my plan…"
