The time for the party was nearing. Hani had meticulously wrapped up the two presents for Stella, one from herself and one from Emma.
Thank goodness it's just a normal party and not one of those crazy galas I've been to before! This means I can dress normally and I won't be so out of place. Then again, the only parties I had been to before were in the orphanage. We wore whatever we had. Nothing fancy, just worn-out clothes. Rich people have weird tastes, buying an outfit for each gala and then never wearing it again. I didn't have to buy the dresses before, so I guess there is no point in complaining. But... do I have to wear something more expensive? Do I look poor and shabby with this outfit?
Hani let out a short, awkward laugh. She used her fist to lightly tap her head, trying to knock some sense into herself. "I need to stop thinking about such useless things." She spoke to herself, shaking her head, commanding herself to stop spiralling.
