Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 – The Fires of Geonosis

Geonosis – Execution Arena

Three prisoners stood in chains beneath the brutal Geonosian suns—Padmé Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. Before them, beasts were released. The crowd roared. Dooku watched from his high perch, arms crossed, serene and certain.

Then the chaos began.

Just as the monsters charged, Padmé picked her locks. Anakin tamed his beast. Obi-Wan fought back-to-back with them. But just when it seemed they might fall…

Mace Windu appeared with dozens of Jedi Knights—blades ignited. The crowd turned into a battlefield.

"This party's over," Mace said, lightsaber at Dooku's neck.

The arena exploded into open war.

The True Battle Begins

But this time, Count Dooku was ready.

Fed secret intelligence—delivered by unknown sources—he had amassed far more droids than expected. The factories had been operating at full tilt, and the entire southern hemisphere of Geonosis had been fortified in advance.

The moment the Jedi revealed themselves, waves of B1 battle droids, super battle droids, and Geonosian air units swarmed the arena.

The Jedi began to fall.

Not one or two—but by the dozens.

The Force could only carry them so far. Even the greatest bladesmen were overwhelmed.

"There are too many," Ki-Adi-Mundi shouted, deflecting blaster bolts as he fell back.

Padmé was hit in the shoulder. Obi-Wan shielded her. Anakin carved through ranks, but he was sloppy—driven by rage.

And in orbit, the Republic's reinforcements still hadn't arrived.

Yoda's Arrival – Hope Descends

Then… salvation.

Out of the dust-choked skies came the sound of engines—LAAT gunships, escorting battalions of clone troopers in gleaming white armor. Over two hundred thousand units, spearheaded by Master Yoda himself.

Cannon fire rained down.

The clones deployed in full formation, coordinated, efficient—yet this was no easy battle.

The droids had numbers. Terrain. Entrenchment.

Yoda ordered full-scale planetary assault.

The Cost of the Day

Across Geonosis, war spread like wildfire.

In the northern ridges, 200 Jedi led a strike into a foundry—only 9 returned.

In the canyons, AT-TEs and LAATs dueled with seismic tanks and missile platforms.

Entire squadrons were wiped out by orbital defense cannons the Republic hadn't scouted.

It became clear: the Republic had underestimated the Separatists.

The price was steep.

"This isn't a battle," Yoda muttered grimly. "This is a message."

Dooku Escapes – Duel of the Titans

In the chaos, Count Dooku fled to his solar sailer, but not before Anakin and Obi-Wan intercepted him inside the Petranaki hangar.

The duel was fierce.

Obi-Wan was cautious but injured.Anakin was reckless—and punished for it.

"You have hate. You have anger. But you lack control."

Dooku severed Anakin's arm with a single slash.

Obi-Wan fell wounded at his apprentice's side.

Before Dooku could finish them both, Master Yoda arrived.

Yoda vs. Dooku – Power Against Precision

Their duel shook the hangar.

Dooku wielded the Makashi form—elegant, precise. But Yoda was a storm, small and swift, spinning through the air with mastery.

Yet just as the tide turned, Dooku called upon droid reinforcements.

Droidekas, armored carriers, and swarms of B2s arrived.

Even Yoda, for all his power, knew the odds.

He Force-pulled both fallen Jedi to his side, leapt into a nearby gunship, and escaped through fire and flame.

Dooku watched from his sailer, untouched.

"It begins now."

Coruscant – The End of Peace

Back on Coruscant, the Senate chamber was silent.

Holo-footage from Geonosis told the story. Casualties. Destruction. A foundry still active despite the assault. The Jedi humbled. The war real.

Palpatine stood before them, cloaked in authority.

"The Clone Army is ready. The time has come to defend the Republic."

Cheers erupted.

The Republic war machine had awakened.

Kamino – Shepard's Calculations

While Yoda had been on Geonosis, Shepard had not been idle.

He had monitored the battle in real time. Dooku's unexpected strength had intrigued him. Not surprised him.

"He was warned," Shepard said to himself. "A test. The Republic needed to bleed."

The Abandoned's systems uploaded every combat algorithm, telemetry, and casualty projection.

In Overan's orbit, the first of the Omega-class flagships neared completion.

By month's end, there would be seven.

His clone army had swelled to 85 million, with 80,000 Seraph operatives in rotation.

The galaxy had entered war.

His war.
