Chapter 11 - Ch.11Fiery Crocodile Stew

On the streets of Dallas City's trading district.

At this moment, a large number of players have gathered here, with one particular stall being especially popular and attracting the most people.

"Food can add 15 points to a main attribute? What if you're lying to us?"

"It's definitely a scam. Food can only restore energy, it can't add attributes. It's not an attribute potion, it can't be that overpowered."

The man setting up the stall was a middle-aged man, a fairly common fire mage, and it was none other than Old Huang.

Old Huang wiped his forehead and said seriously, "Crocodile stew can indeed add 15 points to the main attribute."

"Alright, I'll buy one and try it. I'm from Ghost Studio. If you dare to cheat me, I'll make sure you can't stay here." A thief took out his money and bought a crocodile stew.

He sat down and devoured the stewed meat in one go.

A moment later, when the thief saw the buff on his body, he was completely stunned. There really was such an overpowered food?

As an internal member of the Ghostly Studio, he had seen many good things, including rare items like attribute potions. But even attribute potions only increased the main attribute by 30 points for one minute.

But the crocodile stew in front of me actually increases my main attribute by 15 points for 10 minutes. In comparison, even attribute potions probably can't compare.

Moreover, he knew how rare attribute potions were; even their leader was reluctant to use them lightly.

Almost instantly, the news spread throughout Dallas, and all the studios located in the city were alerted.

"What? Food that increases a main attribute by 15 points?"

"Two hundred copper coins is not excessive. Let's all hurry up and pool our money to buy more."

Old Huang never expected that these so-called studio players would be so crazy, scrambling to buy them.

"Brother, we're from the Pen-Writing Studio. Here are two thousand copper coins."

"Sell them to us first. I'm from the War God Studio. There are three thousand copper coins here. You've forgotten the deal we made."

"Brothers, leave some for us..."

"brother..."

All eighty-plus servings of crocodile stew were sold out, along with some delicious small fish. Although they didn't have any additional attributes, their restorative abilities were comparable to mid-level spring water and bread, and their taste far surpassed that of bread. Plus, the price was reasonable, so they were also snapped up.

"Hey buddy, let's add each other as friends. You can contact us directly next time you have stock." Someone from a large studio sent a friend request to Lao Huang.

"Hehe, does this brother have a team? If not, how about coming to our War God Studio? We can discuss the compensation in detail." Some studios have also recognized Lao Huang's abilities and extended an olive branch.

Old Huang politely declined, knowing full well that he would never have been able to make these things without the recipe and materials provided by Lin Ye.

Just as Lao Huang was about to pack up his stall, a player approached him; it was a girl.

"Hello, I heard you can make food that adds attribute values. Do you still have any?" She held a sword and shield, her voice was pleasant and polite.

"I'm so sorry, we just sold out." Old Huang said apologetically.

"If you need more in the future, could you contact me in advance? I'm willing to buy them for 250 copper coins."

"I can't guarantee it, but if it's still being sold in the future, I can sell some for you." Old Huang had no choice but to say this. He couldn't make any guarantees, since he couldn't make it all by himself.

The female warrior nodded, requested a friend request from Lao Huang, and then left.

This day completely overturned Lao Huang's concept. He glanced at his backpack and saw a full 18,000 copper coins, which, according to the ratio of coins bought and sold by studio players in Dallas, was worth more than 3,000 dollars!

It hasn't been that long.

Three thousand yuan was already in the backpack, that's too easy.

Old Huang was completely in awe of Lin Ye, believing that even professional gamers from large studios couldn't compare.

...

Dallas City, as expected of a mid-level town on the northern border of the Golan Forest, is extremely prosperous. Its wide streets are bustling with countless players, and there are all kinds of NPC shops, magnificent and tall buildings and city walls. From time to time, town guards wearing silver armor and carrying long spears or greatswords patrol the city.

In the trading area, the flow of players was even more terrifying, with a constant stream of noise that made Lin Ye, who had been playing solo for a while, feel a little uncomfortable.

Based on the coordinates provided by Lao Huang, Lin Ye rushed for more than ten minutes before the two finally met.

"Brother Lin, you've finally arrived. Here are a total of 18,300 copper coins." Old Huang's level in the game wasn't high, just like Lin Ye's, level 11. He chose to play a human fire mage, and his equipment was somewhat worn out, probably a basic one.

After saying that, Lao Huang proposed a deal to Lin Ye.

"Give me ten thousand copper coins, and the rest is yours. Don't refuse. It's just small change. There will be plenty of opportunities to make money in the future," Lin Ye said sincerely.

Old Huang was in charge of making and selling the food, so it was only right that he took half. Besides, the two knew each other in real life, and Old Huang had always taken good care of Lin Ye. Lin Ye wouldn't be stingy with such a small amount of money.

"This, this is too much. Besides, I don't need this much." Old Huang was a little embarrassed; he still felt he had taken too much.

"It's okay. If you really can't use it, just sell the money to the studio and get cash," Lin Ye said.

Lin Ye's sincerity made it impossible for Lao Huang to refuse, so he had no choice but to accept the money for the time being.

"By the way, some people from studios came to me earlier, and one even offered 250 copper coins to buy my product," Old Huang said.

Lin Ye smiled. He wasn't surprised. A dozen or so attribute points were equivalent to a decent piece of equipment. Many studios were willing to spend that money. It was only a little over two hundred copper coins, not a lot of money. As long as the equipment dropped after clearing the dungeon and the attributes weren't too bad, they could easily double their money back.

"I have some food ingredients and high-grade fish here. You don't need to make too much. For example, you can make fifty or sixty servings of crocodile stew a day. Also, take a few pieces of equipment with average attributes and two skill books to sell. If you find it troublesome, you can list them on the auction house. You don't need to give me the money you get from selling them. Go open your personal warehouse." Lin Ye instructed.

"Okay, I'll do whatever you say," Old Huang said with a smile. He now completely trusted Lin Ye.

After saying goodbye to Lao Huang, Lin Ye arrived at the trading post in the trading area. The trading post was set up by the system, and as long as you have money, you can buy a lot of good things.

The prices of items in the trading post are higher than those in the free market, but they are more convenient and faster, saving you time.

Lin Ye summoned the virtual light screen and began searching by category. He now had over ten thousand copper coins, making him a minor tycoon.

Lin Ye was searching for forging blueprints.

There are many blueprints, but what is produced are all worthless blank equipment. A few blueprints for forging bronze equipment have been sold for tens of thousands of copper coins.

Without hesitation, Lin Ye bought several blank blueprints, totaling more than two thousand copper coins, and then also bought the forging materials needed for the blueprints.

In less than ten minutes, his backpack was full, and Lin Ye began to spend money practicing his forging skills.
