*Macaque is walking through the desert. He opens a silver compass, a scream transitions echos. It flashes back to the Bone mech, Macaque is thrown through a portal by the Mayor, he looks up from the staff to see the Lady Bone Demon.*
"The staff. The city. You've been busy." said Macaque.
"Tell me. What madness overcame you, that you would forsake your oath? When did you decide to betray me?" Lady Bone Demon asked.
"Listen, Lady Bone Demon." said Macaque trying to talk his way out of this.
"Have you forgotten who I am? What I am! I, who returned you to the mortal plane. All in exchange for such a little favor. That when the time came, you would free me, aid in my pursuit of equilibrium. But no. With the first breath of a new life, you rebelled against your fate. Fool." Lady Bone Demon told him in a cold tone.
"So. You want something." Macaque figured.
"I offer one more chance at redemption. Bring me Sun Wukong, his protégé and your kid Miwa, and perhaps you will be worthy of my mercy." Lady Bone Demon told him and gives him a silver compass.
"And this is—" Macaque asked in slight confusion when taking a look at the compass.
"A compass of sorts. No matter where they flee, this will find them." Lady Bone Demon went on to answer his question.
"Convenient. All righty, then. Seems like they've got a bit of headway, so–" said Macaque as he started walking away.
Chains rise from the ground and pull Macaque down.
"What is this?!" Macaque exclaimed in frustration while the Mayor appeared behind him.
"A reminder. It seems you cannot be trusted to willingly follow the path of destiny. But know this. If you betray me again, one misstep, one failure in any way, I will erase the very memory of you. Now, bring them to me, my champion." Lady Bone Demon told him while the Mayor was pushing his head against the ground as a portal appeared on him.
*End of flashback.*
Macaque put away the compass and were about to get moving when he noticed one of the wishing stars in the sky came down and landed in front of him.
"Hello, Six-eared Macaque." said Zise standing in front of him in his human form.
Macaque narrowed his eyes at him. "Another one of you guys. I must say, you really know how to trick someone to do your dirty business and go against your own words."
Zise tilted his head confused. "What do you mean? We never did anything to trick you let alone go against our words."
"Blue Star said that this dagger wouldn't hurt Miwa and that it would protect her from fading out." Macaque told him in a cold tone.
"Correction, you assumed the dagger couldn't hurt Miwa. Lanse never said anything of it not hurting her. And he didn't lie when saying it would save her from fading out. Keeping a wish like her alive comes with a price." Zise explained in a calm tone.
Macaque let out a low growl and tried going for a punch but Zise created a purple star shield to block his attack.
"Now, now. No need to start a fight. I get that you are upset Macaque. But if you didn't want her to be in pain, you didn't have to stab her. That was your own choice." said Zise looking at him from behind the shield.
"Don't play the blame game on me bastard! You guys claim to care for all living beings and wishes." Macaque tried putting more force into his punches on the shield. But it was far from close to breaking. "Yet you are the ones pulling the strings in the background and have others do your dirty work for you. You Wishing Stars are just as bad as Lady Bone Demon." He pulled out the dagger he had used on Miwa and threw it at the shield.
The dagger went right through the shield and ended back up in Zise's hand. "I am sorry you see us in this way. Macaque, but since this will be the last time you see any of us. I do hope you can help Miwa from getting into Lady Bone Demon's hands." Zise then disappeared and returned to the sky.
Macaque looked up at the four wishing stars and narrowed his eyes at them.
*With the gang, Pigsy and Tang are taking down camp.*
"Oh, Monkey King. He's glowing. That's got to be a good sign, right?" said Tang when seeing Wukong glowing.
"That's all he does. Glows and sits around all day 'cause he's got to get his strength back and apparently can't spare five minutes to help pack up camp." Pigsy complained in frustration.
"Pigsy. You know never to wake up someone from a transcendental meditation." Tang was telling him.
"Tang, go get the others. Let's get going." said Pigsy annoyed.
*Mei, Miwa, Sandy, and MK are seen standing on a cliff.*
"Okay, MK. It's time. Time to look inward. Time to reclaim the power. Time to shout out till the whole world hears—" said Mei, hyping him up.
"Here comes Monkie Kid!" shouted MK out loud.
"Go MK!" Mei and Miwa shouted.
"You can do it!" shouted Sandy.
MK instead farts. Sandy and Mei laugh, while Miwa is trying to hide her laughter.
"I can't do it." said MK as he deflated with a defeated sigh.
"It's all right, MK. You did it before, you'll do it again." said Mei wrapping an arm over his shoulders and poking his cheek.
"Mei is right, you'll get there." said Miwa with a small smile and also wrapped an arm over his shoulders, as she and Mei were trying to cheer him up. "I know you will."
"Yeah. Maybe it's like Monkey King said. The power will come when you need it most." said Sandy laying a hand on his back to show his support.
"But what use am I if I can't be sure my powers are gonna work? And Gold Vision? That's like the baby power. And I can't even do that. I'm not even as good as a baby. So what about 72 transformations, or duplication, or shrinking? Or– how am I meant to fight the Lady Bone Demon? Lulu already have most of her powers back and can summon her own weapon." MK told them as he only grew more frustrated and defeated by all of this.
"That's why we're going to find those fancy-pantsy rings, yo. Light her up with Samadhi Fire, bing, bang, boom." said Mei with a confident smile.
"I might have most of my powers back, but even so I know I can't take Lady Bone Demon on alone. But when we get that Samadhi Fire we'll show her a thing or two about what happens when she messes with the Monkie Kid and Luna Kid." said Miwa with a small smile.
"Hey, you four, we're leaving!" Tang yelled after having found them.
"Tang, don't just yell, I could do that!" shouted Pigsy at him.
"Oh. We better go." said MK and started walking.
"Wrong way, MK. They already pulled up. Get a move on." said Mei already getting in the van.
"Oh. Right. Head in the game, MK." said MK, turning around and started getting in. "Hey Lulu, what are you standing around for? We are leaving."
Miwa had stopped in her tracks as she looked at the van and then turned her head to where she had heard Tang and Pigsy's voices. Something felt off but she wasn't sure what it was.
"I really wish I had Golden Vision too, that way I would be able to see things that you can't with normal eyes." Miwa looked back at the van, still feeling something was off but in the end did get into it.
*Pigsy driving the van.*
"That's that trick to pulling noodles, huh? You've got to use just the right pressure." Pigsy explained while Tang was sleeping in the passenger seat.
MK was looking out of the window and then back at the map. "Hey, Pigsy, I'm looking at the map here, and I think — are we going in the wrong direction?"
"You guys actually listening to me back there? I feel like I'm talking to myself here." said Pigsy as he took a glance over his shoulder.
Mei got down from her bunk bed and took a look at the map as well. "Yeah, we're meant to be going towards the sunset, Piggy. Why are we driving east? Piggy?"
Miwa narrowed her eyes a bit and took a look around. "Wait a minute... Where the fuck is Dad?"
Only now did Miwa notice that Wukong wasn't anywhere in the van and that made her grow a little worried as she tried keeping a calm mind and not start having her body fade away.
"Something weird is going on. Where are the others?" Mei asked looking at MK and Miwa.
Feeling something was wrong, MK and Miwa quickly ran to the front of the van. "Sandy? Did you build this van to drive itself?"
"Oh, I wish." said Sandy when joining the others.
"So that's a no. Should we probably stop it?" Mei asked.
"All right." Just then Sandy started noticing something. "Who turned off the lights?"
"The lights. They're all on, off. On. Off." said MK as the lights were flickering.
"I knew it." Miwa growled and began looking around for any movement.
"Nothing creepy about this at all." said Mei before hearing someone chuckle. "Did you guys hear that?"
Mo meows could be heard within the shadows.
"Mo. Don't worry. Daddy's coming!" Sandy quickly charged into the shadows.
"Sandy, wait." shouted MK, but he was already gone.
"MK! Miwa!" shouted Mei jumping towards them before vanishing into the shadows.
"Mei!" shouted MK and Miwa trying to reach out but she was already gone.
*Macaque then rises from MK's shadow.*
"Looks like it's just you and me now." Macaque laughs.
"Macaque!" Miwa narrowed her eyes and tried summoning her spear, but she still didn't have full control over her shadow powers yet. "Motherfucker."
" How did you—" MK asked.
"Did you really think you were going to get away from me, bud?" Macaque taunted while seeming to ignore Miwa.
MK tries to punch Macaque's shadow but just ends up hurting his hand. "Ow!"
"Aw, forget you lost your powers? Careful. You might hurt yourself!" said Macaque as the floor under MK broke and his shadows entangle MK to one of the car seats along with Miwa on the other.
"What the fuck Macaque?!" Miwa growled, struggling to get free.
"What do you—" MK asked before getting cut off.
"Want? What are you doing? Come on, kiddo." Macaque mocked before coming out of the shadows and in front of MK. "Do I have to explain everything? I'm handing you over to the Lady Bone Demon."
"The fuck you are not!" Miwa shouted using the shadows themselves to portal out of the seat she was stuck to and tried attacking Macaque from behind.
Macaque easily dodged her attack and went on to knock over her feet.
Miwa already saw this coming and quickly took a step in the air so she wasn't standing on the ground anymore. She then tried striking him with her left fist covered in cosmic energy. Only for him to block it with his staff.
"Well isn't that something? Looks like you haven't gotten all rusty with your training. Though punching with that hand probably wasn't the smartest idea." said Macaque as he had more of his shadows tangle her down to the floor. Making sure she wouldn't try the same thing.
Miwa tried breaking free and even use the shadows like before. But whenever she tried that Macaque would quickly catch her again with his own shadows.
She tried keeping herself together but her thoughts would only go back to when he stabbed her and then to those same words he had told her before. Making it hard for Miwa to decide which part to lean towards. What made it worse was that he was working for the Lady Bone Demon, causing her body to start fading away.
Miwa made a painful sound when shocks of pain went through her body, but she tried fighting it.
Macaque knew she was in deep pain, but he couldn't really do much to help so turned his attention back to MK, who was still struggling to break free. "Come on, fight back. Maybe I'm not giving you the right motivation. Should I bring your big, blue friend in here and smack him around? How about the girl?"
MK focus's and uses his Gold Vision.
"Gold Vision? Really? Enough with these baby powers." Macaque taunted him.
"Stop talking!" MK breaks free and attacks Macaque.
"That's more like it." said Macaque with a smirk.
"Why are you helping her? Lady Bone Demon. Like, look, I get you're a bad guy. But you know she wants to destroy everything, right?" MK asked, not understand why he was doing all of this.
"Yeah. See, I've had a taste of dying, and you know what? Not a big fan. So, I'm choosing to be on the winning side." said Macaque as he was slowly pushing MK back.
"She's using you." Macaque punches him into the front seats of the van.
"MK!" Miwa shouted, the pain having stopped and were trying to break free.
"We have a plan. You could help. We could stop her together." said MK, trying to change his mind.
"You can't even stop me. No, first I deliver you, then I'll come back for your has-been master and finally, I'll have repaid my debt and be free of this nightmare. Then I'll take Freckles with me and find a way to help her. Anyway, I assume you won't be coming quietly, so—" said Macaque getting ready to punch him.
Mei suddenly unleashes her Dragon Blade. The T.E.A. explodes, and they land on the sand.
"Mei!" Miwa quickly got up from the ground and smiled seeing her and Sandy were okay.
"That was amazing." said MK, pulling her into a hug.
"Yeah. I might have picked up a little something from my great uncie, Dragon of the East." said Mei spinning around her sword.
"Okay. Girl's more powerful than I thought. Interesting." said Macaque getting up and dusting away some of the sand on his clothes.
"And you." Mei angrily pointed at him. "You kidnapped us in a copy of our own van! That's super gross!"
"I knew something was wrong about that van." Miwa narrowed her eyes at him.
"The Lady asked me to bring MK. But she didn't say anything about you two." Macaque summons the Smoke Monster. Using the T.E.A., Macaque creates his mech and moves to punch the team. "Huh?"
Sandy is holding back Macaque's punch. "I don't want to fight. But I can't let you hurt my friends."
"Oh, you can't, can you?" Macaque grabs Sandy and pins him to the ground.
"Kids, run!" Sandy shouted.
Mei powers up. She blasts a hole in Macaque's Mech. "...Huh?"
Macaque repairs the mech and then grabs Mei, and laughs. "What a hero. Two friends about to be crushed, and you do nothing?"
"Enough!" shouted Miwa stepping forward. Cosmic energy surrounding her. "What the fuck is your game here?! You said you were happy I was alive and back in your life! Yet you stabbed me! Was all of that just a lie?!"
Tears were running down Miwa's face as the cosmic energy was increasing and pushing away the surrounding sand.
MK could see the energy surrounding Miwa and knew it was getting bad. "Lulu!" He tried reaching out a hand, but he only got pushed back by the cosmic energy.
Mei and Sandy were growing worried and struggled getting free from Macaque's hold on them.
"Yeah, the stabbing—I'm really sorry about that. I was only trying to help you." said Macaque while observing her from inside his mech.
"Help... HELP! What part of stabbing your own kid was helping?!" Miwa yelled at him in pure rage. "All you did was make everything worse for me! Because of you, I'm suffering from painful shocks when I'm at a low point!"
Outraged Miwa finally was able to summon her spear and went on to have it get surrounded with cosmic energy. Though her body kept fading out and the painful shocks kept going through her body. But she tried pushing through it.
"Wow, wow, Freckles. I'm sure we can talk this through after I'm done here." said Macaque, not wanting to see her being in pain. "After all of this is over we can fix this. Simple as that and we can return back to normal."
Miwa glared up at him as more cosmic energy was gathering at the end of her spear. "Well, looks like I at least got something from you Mac..." She started charging at him as she glided through the air. "Anyone who fucking betrays me! Is gonna fucking pay for it!"
When close enough she swung down her spear and the cosmic energy cut clean through the mech's arm that was holding Mei and Sandy. Now freeing them as they rush back to MK and looked up at Miwa and Macaque.
"Go and get him Mimi!" shouted Mei.
"Thanks for the save Miwa!" shouted Sandy.
Miwa was breathing heavily after that attack, as it took a lot of energy out of her and she still hadn't fully mastered it.
Another shock went through Miwa's body as it hadn't stopped fading. Causing her to scream in pain as she couldn't resist it anymore and started falling to the ground.
"Lulu!" MK in a panic quickly rushed to reach her, and in doing so he transformed into a bird. Catching her just in the nick of time.
"Go Monkie Kid!" shouted Mei with a smile.
"He did it!" Sandy cheered.
After putting Miwa safely on the ground, MK then flies at the mech's eye. Macaque screams in pain.
"Get off!" shouted Macaque as he was swinging with the only arm the mech had left.
MK flies Sandy, Miwa and Mei far away. Macaque chuckles, gripping his face.
"He still has power. Good. Everything just got a lot more interesting." said Macaque with a smirk, though it quickly went away. "Looks like Miwa is a bit too much like me, as the kid is with Wukong... I hope they don't go down the same path as us."
*In the city of Megapolis.*
"Well, this has gotten icier than when I last was here." said Lanse walking through the empty city and up to the giant mech in the center of it all.
"I take it you are the one who gave Macaque that strange dagger that my servant told me about?" Lady Bone Demon appeared in front of him with a calm demeanor.
"Why yes my dear Lady Bone Demon." said Lanse giving a polite bow.
"Then you being here must mean you are here to give me info on the next step on killing that wish?" Lady Bone Demon questioned a bit impatiently.
"Oh no, all the steps have already been fulfilled. Faster than we all expected." Lanse explained as he noticed the fake Mayor having appeared not too far behind him.
"Is that so? Well, that is some good news." said Lady Bone Demon, very pleased to hear. She turned to the Mayor. "Go and get her."
"With pleasure my lady.~" said the Mayor bowed and began teleporting away.
"Just a moment both of you. If you would be so kind." said Lanse with a gentle smile.
The Mayor gave Lanse a questionable look still wearing his creepy smile.
Lady Bone Demon raised an eyebrow but gestured with a hand for the Mayor to wait for just a second. "Speak, oh great Wishing Star, but please make it quick."
"With the help you have both given with weakening this wish. The Wishing Stars has sent me to express our gratitude." Lanse explained, giving another bow of respect.
Lady Bone Demon was a little surprised by this and coudln't help but let out a laugh. "Well now, you've clearly gained my attention. What is it you wanna give as gratitude?"
Lanse smiled brightly at her. "Erasing your memories of everything that has to do with us Wishing Stars."
"What?" Lady Bone Demon gave him a cold glare but it was already too late.
Within a few seconds, Lanse started glowing with blue stars surrounding him and shot his powers down on the Lady Bone Demon and the Mayor, creating a blue colorful beam.
When everything returned to normal, Lanse had returned to the sky. While Lady Bone Demon and the Mayor had no recollection of him or the wishing stars.
The only thing they did remember was that Wukong and Macaque had a kid going by the name Miwa, but anything related to the wishing stars or wishes was all gone. Like they never existed.
