Chapter 365: Laugh Tale
Brett traveled through the deep sea with Robin.
He noticed the woman wrapped in his clouds, enclosed in a bubble—her body trembling almost imperceptibly.
Even Nico Robin, who'd weathered countless storms at sea, would naturally feel fear when first entering this unpopulated deep sea.
"No need to be afraid. With me here, nothing in this deep sea can harm you."
Brett reassured her.
"Mm."
Nico Robin slowly exhaled, then nodded.
Her heart did feel somewhat panicked, but more than that—expectation and excitement.
She'd heard unbelievable news from Brett's mouth.
This man had actually assembled all four Road Poneglyphs. If she translated the text, he could immediately head to Laugh Tale and decipher the world's ultimate secrets.
That blank century of history Ohara had pursued for generations—it could now be revealed!
Robin had never imagined that seemingly ethereal dream would become reality so easily!
Brett had already promised to bring her to Laugh Tale, since that island might also contain ancient text requiring her interpretation.
All that remained now was translating that ancient text!
Robin unconsciously clenched her delicate fists.
Brett quickly brought Nico Robin back to Fish-Man Island, entering through the bubble above and arriving directly at Ryugu Palace.
No need to hastily expose Nico Robin's arrival at Fish-Man Island.
In a certain room within Ryugu Palace, Neptune, Jinbei, and Tesoro already waited.
Their expressions were remarkably unified—all gazing at the closed door with immense anticipation.
Then finally, the door opened. Brett entered with a woman.
The room's three occupants simultaneously stood. Even Neptune straightened his tail to support his body.
"Really is Nico Robin!"
Tesoro tilted his head, examining Robin, then clicked his tongue admiringly. "Brett, you've got skills! You actually found her!"
"So we can start translating the Road Poneglyphs now, right?"
Neptune said with immense expectation.
"Anytime!"
Nico Robin said solemnly.
Though her stomach felt somewhat hungry, such matters could take a backseat. She couldn't wait to see those four Road Poneglyphs!
"Then—"
Jinbei produced a thick stack of papers. "I'll trouble you, Miss Robin."
The Poneglyphs were massive. Naturally their rubbings were thick. So when Brett departed, he hadn't taken them, instead entrusting them to Jinbei. Now was their moment.
Robin excitedly accepted the thick stack of rubbings, then impatiently opened them one by one.
The rubbing of that lost Road Poneglyph kept at Fish-Man Island. The rubbing from Zou—the Road Poneglyph protected by the elephant, gifted by friends Nekomamushi and Inuarashi.
The Road Poneglyph rubbing protected by Wano's Kozuki Family. And the rubbing seized by Charlotte Linlin, given to Brett by Katakuri.
All four Road Poneglyph rubbings now lay completely spread before Nico Robin. This woman instantly entered work mode, concentrating completely on deciphering this complex ancient text.
"Should be fine, right?"
Tesoro moved beside Brett. His voice sounded somewhat anxious.
After all, this was tremendously important. If Nico Robin couldn't successfully translate this ancient text, then collecting four Road Poneglyph rubbings through such difficulty would be utterly meaningless.
"Trust her."
Brett simply said.
What problems could there be?
In the original story, Robin had deciphered more than one or two Poneglyphs.
Now they just needed to wait quietly.
Tesoro fell silent. The entire room sank into barely tolerable silence.
Everyone waited—quietly waiting for that final destination to be revealed.
They didn't wait long. Nico Robin, buried in the pile of rubbings, suddenly raised her head.
The woman's beautiful face now showed nothing but complete excitement and exhilaration.
"You have the results?!"
Brett asked expectantly.
Though he'd long been certain Nico Robin would have no problems and would smoothly translate the rubbings.
Yet when the moment arrived, Brett still felt anxious.
"Yes."
Fortunately, Brett's trust in Nico Robin proved correct. This woman nodded solemnly. "I've translated all the ancient text. I now know Laugh Tale's location!"
"Where?!"
Brett, Neptune, Jinbei, and Tesoro asked in unison.
Robin paused, then said.....
Meanwhile, at Mariejois.
The Five Elders had fallen into confusion.
"What the hell is Crocodile doing?"
Saint Ju Peter's face was written with disbelief.
Not long ago, the Navy had transmitted unbelievable news.
One of the Seven Warlords, Crocodile, had suddenly led people to attack the Navy base on Sandora, stealing a warship and massive amounts of military supplies before departing leisurely.
The Five Elders couldn't understand what madness had possessed Crocodile. Hadn't cooperation been pleasant these past dozen years? Why this sudden betrayal?
"Probably because of that incident at Rainbase."
Saint Mars sounded somewhat helpless.
After investigation, the Government discovered that before attacking the Navy base, in Crocodile's lair, he'd apparently fought someone.
But with whom Crocodile had fought—the Five Elders couldn't determine.
Though the CP system was pervasive, it wasn't omnipotent.
"To provoke such a reaction from Crocodile—undoubtedly, that battle wasn't simple."
Saint Mars said. "But everyone who might have witnessed that battle has been swallowed by the desert. We can't even find a single witness."
"Doesn't matter. He's just one Crocodile."
Saint Warcury shook his head.
Crocodile wasn't the first Warlord to betray them. They weren't short one more.
"Give him a bounty. Let him understand the consequences of betraying the Government."
"But hasn't Brett been rather quiet recently?"
What was Brett doing? The Five Elders were quite curious about this.
