CHAPTER 24
Bob had returned after solving the problem. Alexander was sent off to the military as he seemed to really love that women. He also paid, 100,000 rubbles for the treatment of Paul. As for female slave, he asked her to return after staying there for 6 months. Anyway, they will now have fear of leaving the villages.
So when he saw his teacher sitting there reading the book, 'the meaning of my life', he smiled and sat in front of him.
Maverick smiled and put away the books. He said, "This mission was easy just to get you acquainted with your job. That will not be the case for later missions. You have to fill 2 more missions."
Maverick took a document and gave it to Bob and said, "You are a warrior right? At what level are you. Sorry, let me rephrase the question, can you survive anti-material sniper bullets and explosions."
Bob smiled and said, "That would not be much of a problem for me. No conventional weapon in the world can harm me for now. Radiation will not affect me and I can fly and teleport just for your knowledge. I also have personal space storage powers so, I will never lack any items. Even if a missile is targeted at me, I can simply take it into my space before it explodes or hits me."
Maverick looked at Bob in doubt. He sighed and asked, "Have you by chance awakened your intent? So you are not just an aura lord but you are in intent lord."
Bob asked in doubt, "What is an intent? I only have some aura."
Maverick nodded and said, "It seems that you have awakened your origin getting more kinds of power. My family is an ancient noble family that has records from 7000 years ago. Our first ancestor was an intent lord so he forged some items that will last for a long time. So we still have that book written by him, warning us of many dangers. Either way, since you are strong, why have you not conquered the world already? Any intent lord can enslave any living being without affecting their intelligence and normal thought except that they have a lord above them? I wanted to ask my forefather too. Why die when he could have lived for 3000 years? Why not enslave the world?"
Bob smiled nad said, "Even if you the intent lord does have the power to enslave others, there will be certain conditions. It is indeed imperative for a person who can indeed enlave the world without affecting their functioning to do so. As for why he did not or why one would not, it is mostly due to morality and fear. If one intent lord can exist, another can too. Once the other intent lord finds a person who can enslave the world, he will surely fight the intent lord to death. This will not be the case if the intent lord only enslaves his own subordinates for security reasons. This is similar to the theory of dark forest except that since all intent lords can absorb all live by energy just like aura lords and they can live longer, they will have to worry about possible infinite war where they keep fighting against each other with no other choice than just war. Everybody does yearn for eternity yet the very people yearn for death as they know that their very life will end one day. Not everyone can live without a possible closure and live for infinite period of time."
Maverick nodded and said, "You do not need to worry about the presence of intent lords. For a person to awaken intent they need to awaken aura and for a person to awaken aura, the person needs to be too much skilled in one item, reaching beyond what is human, strengthening their willpower in the direction of that skill. The will should be applied as artistic conception or meaning of skill with every use of the skill such that the will, body and skill will be enhanced and break through the limit of humanity such that their aura will be awakened. The person who has awakened aura has to keep using artistic conception of that skill by using the aura and when the will is strengthened to the limit, the intent will be awakened. We had this method for thousands of years yet the number of aura lords trained can be counted in a few numbers and the number of intent lords are none. But many of the aura lords were born from the talented ones who just dabbled in the skill they liked rather than the skill they were asked to perform. So, I and other ones who knows about warriors and aura does not know what to do with you. All of your food contains aura and that alone means that you have awakened origin and have some kind of method to gain a huge amount of energy that you just used it to speed up the growth of crops and animals. So, we are not worried about you and will surely give you enough rights. After all, you are strong enough to destroy any nation by your own power."
Bob understood most of what was said but still had to confirm it so he asked, "What do you really mean?"
Maverick said, "The position of warrior has been reinstated and added to the constitution as per the constitutional amendment act. We are willing to give you the right as long as you remain loyal to this nation. That is all what is meant as such position will ensure that you will have enough strength in the system."
Bob asked, "Why now?"
Maverick said, "You are not an ordinary aura lord. You are too strong in all manners and we found that you were indeed too strong. Strength needs to be respected. But you will needs to follow the protocol."
Bob nodded and said, "I will remain loyal to the nation until it betrays me and I will follow the protocols unless someone breaks it to use it against me. As for other things, now I just want to get the position of IB and expand my business."
Maverick nodded and said, "Fine, this mission will be counted as 2 missions. You will be given level 3 international authority which will allow you to buy and use small scale missiles, tanks and fighters. You can directly take over the command of a military group of level 3 authority or lower. Of course, you will have to learn to command if you do so or give your orders to the commander to let him order as per your wishes. We cannot let our soldiers die for free. This authority will allow you to directly contact the embassy of any other nation and will also allow you to meet the ministers of other nations directly just based on your identity. As for trade, unless you sell some prohibited items, you can indeed sell any export or import any items. Just try not to sell out the aura filled food as such food will strengthen the body of consumers. We do not want other people strengthened. Will that be enough?"
Bob thought for some time. Such rights were indeed enough seeing that he had not made any merits or helped the nation. So he nodded and asked, "What is the mission this time?"
Maverick smiled and said, "If you are going to take this mission, you will directly be given the position of IB and will be given level 3 clearance. Anyway you will be given the power and identity as you are an aura lord."
Bob nodded. Maverick said, "We have found the location of a drug lord but we cannot sent the army or use any strategic weapons. So we are sending you as a ambassador with a small group of soldiers under you. Your job is to eliminate them as soon as possible. As long as they do not have definitive proof that it was Circe nation that attacked them, your mission will be complete."
Bob asked in doubt, "This mission seems more like that given to a soldier."
Maverick smiled and said, "There was once an IB who used his personal money to bribe all the officials at the other side and changed the president of that nation. There was once an IB who was a scientist and authorized the use of his patents to gain tens of billions per year. That mission also opened up the market as needed by the ambassador. You using your pure power to kill is not so problematic. Anyway, the position of IB was created for the talented independent people to get them attacked to the government. As for the ones who want to climb higher, no will stop them as they will use their talent and resources to help the nation and the nation will give them rights and respect. Even if you had joined the military first, after your powers would be known, you will be sent to missions after they know of your power. They will send you to fight international wars, sent to rescue and even the secret service might ask you to assassinate someone. After your merits are known to higher ups, you will then be asked to form a private unit that is separate under the direct jurisdiction of the president and you will be made an IB then. So in all manner, unless you go to legislative or judicial system, you will be made an IB. We are democratic nation but that does not mean that we have to forget the history of 5000 years of the nation of Circe that was under monarchy."
Bob nodded. Maverick was different today as he kept talking too much. He looked at Maverick and said, "I will fulfill this mission."
Maverick smiled and after some small talk, Bob left.
