Chapter 358 - Chapter 358

"What do you think?"

After venting his anger and criticizing the Magic Council for a moment, Makarov turned to his grandson Marco, who had brought the relevant information.

"Isn't it obvious? Of course, we should take them down directly! Moreover, these people are connected to Erza. Erza escaped from there, and Grandpa Rob, who had been missing for years... also died there. It was because of him that Erza came to our guild."

This time, Marco didn't continue being a "riddle-speaker" but directly told Makarov the truth.

After all, they had already located the target, and it was time to go all out.

Moreover, Marco had come to understand that hoping Erza would figure things out on her own seemed unlikely at this point.

She needed a stimulus—she had to confront everything head-on.

"Avenging Grandpa Rob"—this was the fuse that could ignite Fairy Tail and ignite Makarov.

Marco refused to believe that under such circumstances, Erza would dare not follow along.

If she didn't, all she would get in the end was an island destroyed by an enraged Makarov.

"NANIIIIIIII?!!!"

As expected, the moment Marco ignited the "explosive package" that was "Rob," Makarov immediately exploded with rage.

The old man's eyes widened, and the magic power around him began to fluctuate violently.

"Hum!"

The entire guild's members were affected.

They all curiously turned to look in their direction, and upon seeing the furious Master Makarov, their expressions turned to shock—especially since the angry guild master was staring at Marco, which made them even more astonished.

"What did Marco do to make the Master so angry?"

"Could it be that he has a child outside?"

"Huh? That would be way too outrageous!"

The guild members whispered among themselves, none daring to approach.

The sight of an angry Master Makarov was truly terrifying.

What stood out was Marco's calm and composed demeanor, which didn't seem to indicate any trouble. Everyone decided to wait and see how things unfolded.

"Master, calm down~"

Mirajane, who had been listening to Marco and Makarov's conversation from the bar counter, immediately came over to persuade Makarov to cool off.

She didn't know Rob, but she was very interested in Erza's past and had been listening intently nearby.

Makarov took a deep breath, reining in some of his anger, but his face remained stern, radiating intense fury.

"Marco, continue. What exactly happened?"

After calming down a bit, Makarov urged Marco to explain the situation clearly.

He wanted to know how Rob had died.

"Alright." Marco nodded and briefly recounted the intelligence Erza had shared earlier.

Though Erza hadn't provided much actionable information, the details she disclosed were enough to set Fairy Tail ablaze with righteous fury, uniting everyone in common cause.

Erza didn't know how Rob had been captured. By the time she was taken to that place, Rob was already there.

His care for her and the other children helped them endure that hellish environment.

Everyone adored Rob, and his ultimate sacrifice to save her left Erza with profound gratitude.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have trekked across mountains and rivers to reach Fairy Tail.

"Very well! Evil Cult! Jellal! Tower of Heaven!"

After hearing Marco's account of Erza's childhood experiences and her connection with Rob, Makarov clenched his fists tightly.

This "Tower of Heaven" must be destroyed - not only to avenge their old comrade Rob, but also to obtain justice for young Erza!

Rob hadn't disgraced them after all.

Dying to protect the children was a glorious way to meet his end.

Of course, this was merely finding solace in adversity. If Rob could have survived, that would have been the truly desirable outcome.

Makarov sighed inwardly.

Actually, after all these years without any news of Rob, Makarov and the others had long prepared themselves for bad news.

They just never expected that before his death, Rob would send them Erza.

'That old rascal...'

"Since we've located the place, there's nothing more to discuss. We depart immediately! This is Fairy Tail's family matter - we don't need outsiders interfering. We'll handle this ourselves." Makarov spoke gravely, voicing his thoughts.

Clearly, though the old man was furious and enraged, he remained rational.

He knew this "Tower of Heaven" carried Erza's painful past, so he didn't suggest reporting it to the Magic Council - that obviously wasn't what Erza wanted.

"I agree. Fairy Tail's affairs should be resolved by Fairy Tail alone. No need to trouble the Magic Council." Marco nodded, aggreing with Makarov's.

"Should we assemble everyone now?"

Mira had been listening nearby and already understood the situation.

She immediately chimed in, ready to gather Fairy Tail's Mages.

Whether others would go was one thing, but she certainly intended to - she couldn't sit out such an important mission.

"No assembly needed. We only need to notify a select few members. Those without sufficient strength won't be much help anyway. Besides, we want to catch them by surprise - bringing too many people wouldn't be ideal." Marco shook his head.

He didn't plan to make a big war but rather adopt an elite approach.

Since the enemy didn't know they were mobilizing, they could gather the guild's elite members for a surprise assault, catching their opponents off guard.

"Then who should we bring along?" Mira nodded, agreeing with Marco's approach.

The old man shared this view too.

While Fairy Tail had many members, they didn't win through numbers alone. They had plenty of elite Mages who could form a capable strike team.

"At least A-class standard." Marco drew a line, indicating this matter still carried considerable danger.

Mages below A-Class need not participate.

"That still leaves quite a few people." Makarov nodded.

There were quite a few "A-Class Wizards" in their guild, mainly because the assessment for "S-Class Mages" was particularly strict.

The "A-Class Wizards" in their guild were exceptionally strong—some might even be more powerful than "S-Class" mages from other guilds.
