Cherreads

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – When the Sky Bled Red

---

> "You have died."

That was the first thing Aarav Mehra saw — a single cold sentence, flickering inside a void so black, it devoured memory.

He should have screamed.

Should have panicked.

But there was no body. No pain. No heartbeat. Just… existence, hovering in nothing.

> "Death confirmed. Entity fractured. Soul core unstable."

A voice — robotic, broken, glitching like a hacked AI — rang inside his mind.

He tried to move. Couldn't.

Tried to remember. Flashes only. A lab. Fire. The virus. The breach.

And then…

Blackout.

Welcome, Kael Draven

---

⚰️ Rebirth in Ash and Fire

His lungs convulsed.

Eyes snapped open.

And the sky above him was bleeding.

Not metaphorically — literally red, thick, churning like liquid fire across the heavens.

Black clouds spun in violent spirals, as if some divine hand had torn the sky apart.

Lightning danced across shattered clouds. But there was no thunder.

Only silence. The silence of something… ancient… broken.

Kael gasped. The air burned. His body — new, foreign — felt like it had just been carved from iron and stitched with rage.

He coughed, rolled over, and realized he lay on scorched earth. Bones surrounded him — cracked, melted, twisted. Weapons lay rusted in dried blood. A battlefield… long dead.

And yet, he was alive.

---

🧍‍♂️ The Body That Shouldn't Exist

He caught his reflection in a shard of blackened steel.

The face staring back wasn't his.

Hair: Midnight black, falling wild past his ears.

Eyes: Pale silver, veined with glowing threads.

Skin: Too pale. Too perfect.

And carved into the base of his throat — a glowing ring of symbols, constantly shifting.

> "What… the hell am I?"

> [SYNC COMPLETE]

New Identity: Kael Draven

Race: Nullblood (Non-Elemental / System-Immune)

Core Status: UNSUPPORTED ENTITY

Warning: "You do not belong in this world."

His mind reeled.

Kael.

Nullblood.

Sovereign Core.

A system that called him a mistake… but gave him life?

He stumbled up.

And that's when he felt it — the world rejected him.

☠️ The First Trial

> [INITIATING SURVIVAL PROTOCOL]

Phase: Null Trial I – "Survive Without Aura"

Time: 60 Seconds

Weapon: ❌ None

Magic: ❌ None

Goal: Survive the Cull Beasts

Something snarled.

Kael's head snapped to the side — from the crimson mist, black wolf-like beasts emerged. Dozens. Their fur was smoke. Their eyes, blue fire.

They were wrong. Glitched.

As if formed by corrupted code.

One leapt.

Kael dove, rolled, grabbed the only thing he could — a snapped femur from a long-dead warrior.

The beast hit the ground, snapped its jaws, came again.

Crack.

The bone hit its skull. Not hard enough.

> "Think, Aarav— no. Kael. Use your head."

> [ERROR LOG: Thought Thread Detected]

[Triggering Passive: "Mental Override"]

[Skill Created: ✨ Thought Edge]

Description: "Weapon manifested through sheer belief. Your thoughts become steel."

His right hand glowed — light bent, metal warped — and in a burst of smoke, a jagged sword made of glowing silver thought snapped into his grip.

No hilt. No metal. Just will.

---

⚔️ The Fight for Existence

He moved without training — but his body adapted.

One beast lunged — he sidestepped. Slashed.

Another tried to flank — he ducked, spun, stabbed through its throat.

They weren't real. They were data. And he was out-thinking them.

Every kill strengthened the system.

Every dodge refined the weapon.

The final beast charged — too fast.

Kael let it come.

At the last second, he dropped, pivoted on his heel, and drove the blade upward into its core.

The beast exploded into black pixels.

Silence.

> [Trial Complete]

Reward: +1 Soul Thread

Title Unlocked: The Unwritten

Passive Gained: Null Resistance I – "Immune to detection-based scans."

He dropped to one knee, panting, blood seeping from his forearm.

But his lips twisted into a grin.

> "I don't belong here?"

"Then I'll break everything that does."

🕊️ Enter the Watcher

The ground trembled.

A circle of golden runes spiraled into the air. A shadow descended — slow, precise, unnerving.

She didn't walk.

She simply… arrived.

A woman, dressed in black and bone-white armor, her eyes veiled in cloth, her presence screaming authority.

She looked down at Kael with no expression. No malice. No kindness.

Just curiosity.

> "You are not in the records," she whispered.

"No timeline bears your name. No soul registry claims you."

"You are a glitch."

Kael stood, gripping his fading blade of thought.

> "Good."

"Because glitches… aren't bound by your rules."
