Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Night of the Little Black cat

It had just stopped raining. The roads were wet and shiny. Kabir Oberoi was driving through the city. The engine was quiet, and the lights outside were soft. Everything was calm—until a small black cat ran across the road.

Meera's Point of View

Meera was walking home after dinner. She saw the little cat running into the road. It was tiny and scared. Her heart started beating fast. She ran to save it, water splashing under her feet.

> "Stop! Please, stop!" she shouted.

Cars passed her, but one didn't stop. Kabir's car.

She rushed to the driver's side and knocked on the window.

> "Please, roll down the window!" she said, out of breath.

Kabir lowered the glass slowly. Meera quickly bent down.

> "There you are, little one…" she whispered.

She picked up the wet kitten and felt something else—someone's hand. She looked up and saw Kabir for the first time.

Inside the Car: Aditya and Ayaan

Aditya was mid-text but stopped when he saw Kabir freeze. Ayaan leaned forward.

> Ayaan: "Boss… are you okay?"

Kabir didn't reply. He was just staring at Meera, who was kneeling in the rain, holding the cat. Her hair was wet. Her face was calm. She didn't look afraid at all.

> Aditya: "Dude, you're staring. Blink, man."

Kabir finally relaxed a little. The kitten jumped out of Meera's arms and ran into the bushes.

> Ayaan (softly): "She saved it."

> Aditya: "Most girls don't do that. She's different."

Meera and Kabir's First Talk

Meera stood up. The kitten had run away, but she was still smiling. She looked at Kabir.

> Meera: "Thank you… for stopping."

Kabir's voice was rough but quiet.

> Kabir: "You saved it."

She pushed her wet hair back and smiled again.

> Meera: "I had to. I couldn't let it die."

She looked at him properly now—his dark hair, his sharp suit, his serious eyes.

> Meera: "I'm Meera. Meera Singhania."

Kabir took a breath. Then held out his hand.

> Kabir: "Kabir… Oberoi."

She shook his hand. It was warm, even in the cold rain.

> Meera: "Next time, please watch the road."

Kabir smiled a little.

> Kabir: "Or maybe you'll stand in front of my car again."

They both laughed. It was quiet, soft. But it felt like something important had just begun.

---

And just like that, under the streetlights and soft rain, two different lives met—one full of power, one full of kindness.

A small moment. But a big start.
