A/n: I have added a new picture of Eilistraee in her normal clothes and an image of Fleur's transformation. Also images of Elia and adult Rhaenys.
It took Elia about half an hour of meticulous work to complete the summoning circle. She moved with grace, her hands steady as she inscribed the final glyphs on the cavern floor.
She tilted her head and critically observed her work, checking for any imperfections in the flow of the design, before raising an eyebrow towards Ra and Zeus.
"Can you check this for me?" She asked them.
The brothers stepped forward, their eyes scanning the magic circle for a long moment. They looked for structural weaknesses in the magic circle before nodding in unison.
"This is accurate. You have a talent, good sister," Zeus smiled and nodded appreciatively towards Elia.
"Thank you, Zeus," Elia nodded at the compliment and glanced towards Ra, who gave a firm nod of his own, indicating the magic circle was structurally sound and ready for activation.
"Would you wish to do the honors?" Zeus asked. He handed her two vials containing the wyvern blood before crouching down to scoop up the children in his arms.
"I missed this feeling... never leave me again," Zeus said with an exaggerated blissful expression, burying his face in their small shoulders when the children were safely back in his arms.
Aegon and Rhaenys giggled at his dramatic antics and started tickling Zeus in retaliation.
Elia smiled at the heartwarming scene and moved towards the center of the magic circles. With a steady hand, she poured the blood into the appropriate runic inscriptions.
She then glanced back to ensure safety. She saw that Zeus had taken the children a safe distance away to shield them from any magical backlash, while Ra stood just beside her, his posture fully alert to protect her should anything go wrong.
She placed her hands on the outer rim of the magic circles and concentrated. Her magic flowed out of her core and entered the magic circles to summon the Wyverns that were fated for her children.
After she had poured the appropriate amount of magic into the construct, she stood up and moved back quickly as the circles began to glow with an intense, blinding white light.
Ra stood in front, acting as a shield for the group, with the kids, Elia, and Zeus positioned safely in the back.
In a few moments, the light brightened even more, reaching a crescendo of brilliance until two massive silhouettes formed within the radiance.
The light abruptly vanished as the physical circles shattered into dust, and in their place stood two massive Wyverns.
Both Wyverns were breathtaking creatures. They possessed scales that shimmered like pure white crystals, reflecting the dim light of the cave, and their eyes were like deep red gems that were immediately fixed on the children in Zeus's arms.
They were massive beasts, easily twice the size of a full-grown warhorse. Despite their abrupt arrival in an unfamiliar environment, they did not make a sound or even look around in confusion.
They stood there calmly, their intelligence evident, with their eyes locked solely on the children. It was as if they did not wish to scare the young ones and were deliberately giving them space to approach on their own terms.
Zeus glanced at Ra, who started walking slowly towards the beasts, gesturing for him to follow.
With the children secure in his arms, Zeus started walking with Ra and Elia in the lead.
Ra signaled to Zeus when they were nearing the striking distance of the Wyverns. He received a nod from Zeus before the Custodian put the children down on the ground, though he did not let go of their hands.
"Walk towards them slowly and do not get past us. Am I understood?" Zeus ordered the children firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument, and got firm nods in return.
The children walked just one step behind Zeus, Ra, and Elia, who were now walking in the front line towards the Wyverns.
The Wyverns did not make any sudden movements. They watched as the humans approached them with tilted heads, analyzing the small beings that their instincts screamed were 'family.'
The group stopped just a few meters from the Wyverns. The adults stepped aside slightly, allowing the children to stand beside them, positioned safely in the middle of Zeus and Ra.
Elia was whispering a protective incantation all this time. Magical energy swirled in her hands, forming complex protective shapes, ready to deploy shields at a moment's notice.
The Wyverns slowly leaned their massive heads down towards the children, their movements deliberate, slow, and entirely non-threatening.
The children raised their small hands towards their Wyverns' snouts when they received a confirming nod from Ra.
It was a tense moment of silence. Their hands touched the Wyverns' crystalline snouts after a long moment, and the adults collectively let out a held breath and relaxed, but not fully.
"They are twins. Born just a year ago," Zeus informed them, referring to the Wyverns' age.
"They seem quite intelligent as well," Ra observed as the children moved closer to their Wyverns, the slight fear completely replaced by looks of wonder on their faces.
"Can we mount them?" Rhaenys asked with a pleading look, her hand already resting on the Wyvern's neck.
"Go on, Dear," Elia allowed them, getting excited cheers from the children as they clumsily started climbing onto the backs of the patient beasts.
Elia had felt the threads of magic that bonded her children and the Wyverns the moment they appeared. That deep, soulful connection was the reason she had allowed them to mount the dangerous creatures.
Ra and Zeus were perceptive to magic as well, so they had felt the formation of the magical bond instantly.
"He is so warm!" Aegon exclaimed from his seat on top of his Wyvern as he hugged the creature's thick neck.
A few moments from then, the group moved out of the cave to let the children fly on their Wyverns in the open air.
Ra and Zeus glanced at their horses and nodded to each other when they saw the animals were not frightened by the apex predators. The horses were not flailing in panic, a testament to their training and magical enhancement.
Elia looked at the happy smiles on her children's faces, and then to the Wyverns. The beasts seemed to know exactly what the children wanted just from a thought.
They extended their massive wings before leaping into the air with a mighty, synchronized flap that kicked up dust around the clearing.
Elia had quickly cast 'Pass Without Trace' on the Wyverns and the children. The spell would weave shadows and silence around them, making them incredibly hard to notice for any people on the ground that may be in the forest.
"Don't go too high!" Elia called out to them as they were ascending rapidly towards the sky.
The children did as they were told. They did not pierce the clouds but just circled the group from the sky, reveling in the freedom of flight for about half an hour.
"Three of them conquered the Seven Kingdoms... and those Wyverns had much weaker fire than these," Zeus muttered, watching the white shapes circle above with a soft chuckle.
"Good sister, would you wish for them to sit on the Iron Throne?" Zeus asked, raising an inquisitive eyebrow towards Elia.
"If they wish... However, I don't think they do," Elia said with a shrug.
She knew that when the children reached adulthood, these Wyverns would be big enough to conquer the Iron Throne single-handedly, especially with the backing of Dorne.
Not to mention her own spells and the help or Ra and Zeus or even the other custodians.
And there were many more houses that would side with them, even when they had changed their last names.
In Westerosi customs, birthright mattered above all. Even though King Robert was eager to acknowledge their new names as Drakensar to secure his own claim, for most of the ancient nobles, the children were, and always would be, Targaryens.
The children landed on the ground after a moment and leapt into Ra's arms as he was the closest to them, their faces flushed with excitement.
"That was the greatest thing ever!" Aegon exclaimed, breathless, getting a warm chuckle from Ra.
"Will they be staying in this cave?" Rhaenys asked, gesturing to the Wyverns who were settling down.
"I will cast some spells and form some runes in the area that would keep ordinary people away from here," Elia said, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"Father gave me some potions for the children as well as the Wyverns to help them grow stronger. However, I do think the Wyverns will need substantial food," Zeus added his own thoughts to the logistics.
"I don't think many creatures will come near this area when the Wyverns settle here, and that would make it hard for them to hunt enough food." Ra said. Their conversation had effectively given Rhaenys the answer to her question.
"I will make some 'Create Food and Water' runes in the cave. The Wyverns will be able to get food by channeling their magic into a certain area near the formation." Elia proposed a magical solution.
"I don't think they will eat food made with the 'Create Food' spell. That stuff is notoriously bland, and these are predators," Zeus pointed out with a shake of his head. "I will come here every morning and cast 'Prestidigitation' on the conjured meat to make it palatable and flavorful for them."
Elia gave her own nod of agreement; the plan was sound. The adults immediately got to work, inscribing runes and casting complex spells for the next hour.
They had sensed that the children's magic had become palpably stronger just by being in the presence of the Wyverns.
They concluded that the Wyverns' presence acted as a catalyst for the children's growth, so they were doing all they could to ensure the beasts had a safe home to grow beside Rhaenys and Aegon.
The children were having fun with their new companions as the adults busied themselves in their magical work.
