A/n: This chapter has some very dark parts to it, just a heads up.
In a castle in France,
Voldemort sat in a chair, stroking Nagini's head as he listened to the reports from his follower.
"The Acromantulas seemed receptive to the suggestion, my Lord," an imposing, feral-looking man said with a wide smile, showing his pointed teeth.
Voldemort nodded. "Follow up with them in a week, Greyback," Voldemort said and waved his hand to dismiss the werewolf.
Fenrir Greyback bowed and left, glancing at Lucius Malfoy, who seemed to be entering just as he was leaving.
Voldemort gestured for Lucius to sit, and Lucius bowed before doing so.
"I can smell who sat in this seat before me, my Lord," Lucius said, and the Dark Lord chuckled.
"Him and his kind are not worthy of sitting at your side," Lucius said with a frown, and Voldemort nodded.
"They are not, and he and his kind will be disposed of when their purpose has been fulfilled," Voldemort said and raised an eyebrow as a woman's screaming and pleading could be heard from a nearby room.
"Such insolence, this close to you, my Lord. They disrespect you." Lucius said through gritted teeth.
"Let them enjoy themselves. I heard they secured a Mud blood muggle woman on their recent venture," Voldemort scoffed.
"Tell me of Draco and how he fares," Voldemort ordered, and Lucius nodded.
"Yes, my Lord. It seems he has found a way… a cabinet as he tel—" Lucius was interrupted by a loud pained scream from the other room, and he stood up.
"Please, forgive me, my Lord. I cannot bear to see them disrespect you so," Lucius said and stormed to the other room in fury.
Voldemort frowned at that but then relaxed as he heard, "How dare you do these things so close to our Lord and disturb him! Avada Kedavra!" Lucius's voice echoed.
Lucius then returned and knelt before Voldemort. "Forgive me, my Lord. I could not bear them insulting you so," he said, and a furious Death Eater followed after Lucius.
"My Lord, it took us such effort to get that woman after the Hawthorne Foundation started guarding the Muggle side as well! And he just killed her as we were having our fun!" the Death Eater said with fury on his face.
Voldemort glanced at the Death Eater, and the man paled as he realized who he was talking to. He knelt before the Dark Lord at once.
"I do not discourage you from having fun… but Lucius is right. Is this the courtesy you show your Lord? By interrupting my meeting?" Voldemort growled as the Death Eater started shaking, dropping to both knees and pressing his forehead to the floor.
"Rise, Lucius, and sit," Voldemort said, and Lucius got up and sat where he was before.
"And you… gather the others involved in this and await your punishments," Voldemort said as the whimpering man nodded quickly and ran away.
After the man was gone, Voldemort glanced at Lucius. "You were talking about a cabinet," Voldemort said, and Lucius nodded.
"Yes, my Lord. It is a fascinating work of rune engineering, allowing transport between two sister cabinets, one in Hogwarts while the other I have secured myself," Lucius informed him and saw a smile form on Voldemort's face.
"Most fortunate news, Lucius. You have a worthy son," Voldemort said and patted Lucius's shoulder.
Lucius smiled in happiness. "Yes, my Lord. My son may succeed where I have failed you. However, the cabinet in Hogwarts seems damaged. Not to worry, as my son has shown great talent and is repairing the cabinet," Lucius said, and Voldemort frowned halfway before nodding.
"Youth and talent, Lucius. I trust young Draco will not disappoint me," Voldemort said, and Lucius nodded.
Voldemort got up. "I must punish those fools," he said and left, Nagini following behind him.
Lucius got up and bowed as the Dark Lord left. He straightened once Voldemort was out of sight and sighed, looking at the sky.
He allowed himself a smile as he heard Voldemort shouting "Crucio!" and the screams of the Death Eaters.
'I should deliver her body to her family... as least.' Lucius though with a sigh and went to the room to take the woman's body.
As he reached the room he saw a death eater dragging the body and he frowned.
"Where are you taking her?" Lucius asked, trying to sound more curious then furious.
The death eater grinned at Lucius "I asked our Lord for the body as I am studying a ritual that required human body parts." He said casually and dragged the body away.
Lucius tried his best not to show any displeasure and just nodded as the woman's body was dragged away.
'Simon.... I am sorry, brother.' He thought to himself before sighing in his heart and walking away.
