Chapter 249 - Special Grade Sorcerer: Okkotsu Yuta

Chapter 17 – Special Grade Sorcerer: Okkotsu Yuta

"What?! The audacity...!"

"He actually broke into Tokyo Jujutsu High… and had the nerve to call my little sister the weakest?"

"Fine, then. I'll see for myself. Suguru Geto… on the 24th, I'll be there to witness your so-called Night Parade of a Hundred Demons with my own eyes."

That same night, as soon as he returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High, Zenin Kyūjō exploded with rage after hearing about everything that had happened.

— — —

December 24th, 2017.

The eve of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.

Zenin Kyūjō, along with a squad of Jujutsu Sorcerers from Tokyo Jujutsu High, had already arrived at Shinjuku—one of the two primary targets Suguru Geto had declared.

The other was Kyoto—considered sacred ground in the Jujutsu world.

Fortunately, they didn't need to worry about Kyoto. The Kyoto branch had already fortified their defenses and prepared to intercept Geto's army of cursed spirits.

— — —

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the skies above both cities darkened—not just with night, but with the overwhelming presence of cursed energy.

A storm of over two thousand cursed spirits, each varying in grade and ability, flooded the streets.

Luckily, the Jujutsu world had not been idle.

Elites from both Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High were already deployed, and the battlefield quickly became a chaotic clash of sorcerers versus curses.

— — —

At the forefront of the Tokyo squad, Zenin Kyūjō stood tall—his cursed blade gleaming in the pale city lights.

And then, he charged.

The first to leap into the flood of cursed spirits.

His movements were pure devastation.

With every swing, his blade cleaved through the curses like a divine executioner—one slash per kill, no wasted motion.

Grade didn't matter.

Type didn't matter.

They all fell before him.

Within seconds, Kyūjō had carved a path straight into the heart of the cursed onslaught.

But even as he activated his Infinity Perception system, his expression darkened.

"Where is Suguru Geto…?"

"The man who threatened to wipe out every non-sorcerer in Tokyo and Kyoto—why hasn't he shown his face yet?"

"You're telling me he's relying on these low-grade curses to achieve his goal?"

Something felt off.

And then—he saw him.

Amid the cursed spirits, a tall man with dark skin moved calmly, untouched by the chaos around him.

A sorcerer.

And clearly not an ally.

He wasn't being attacked by the curses at all.

"Definitely one of Geto's operatives," Kyūjō muttered.

His eyes narrowed as he focused. The man was speaking into an earpiece.

"…The plan is proceeding as scheduled… I'll keep Satoru Gojo occupied for twenty minutes… Geto-sama, move quickly…"

Kyūjō's pupils shrank.

Geto's real target… isn't here.

He's going after Okkotsu Yuta.

More precisely—he's going after the Special Grade Cursed Spirit bound to him.

Rika.

But that wasn't all that set Kyūjō on edge.

Zenin Maki, Mai, and their mother, Zenin Arisa… were all currently at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Without hesitation, Kyūjō slammed his foot into the ground with immense force.

BOOM—!!

A shockwave exploded across the battlefield.

The ground cracked and rippled like a rising tide. Skyscrapers shook. The entire district trembled.

And then, he vanished.

In the blink of an eye, Kyūjō leapt over a thousand meters, tearing through the air like a meteor.

Mid-air, he kept running—using cursed energy to step off invisible footholds in the sky—racing back toward the school as fast as possible.

Down below, many of the remaining sorcerers and lower-level curses stumbled, thinking a sudden earthquake had struck.

But only one person noticed the direction Kyūjō was heading.

Satoru Gojo.

"…So that's what this is," Gojo murmured, frowning.

Watching Kyūjō's trajectory, realization dawned.

"Suguru Geto… So your real target was the school all along."

"And that means… you're after Okkotsu Yuta."

Still, Gojo didn't immediately move.

He stood still, hand thoughtfully brushing his chin.

"With Yuta's potential, he might not even lose to Suguru. And Kyūjō's on his way there, too."

"As long as Kyūjō makes it in time, nothing catastrophic should happen…"

And yet, just like in the original story—

Gojo chose not to interfere directly.

Instead, he used Limitless to teleport Panda and Toge Inumaki straight into the battlefield at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Why?

To have them injured.

To push Yuta emotionally.

To break him out of hesitation—force him to awaken his true potential.

— — —

Meanwhile, Zenin Kyūjō kept sprinting through the sky, grumbling under his breath.

"Not my fault," he thought bitterly. "No one told me Gojo could just draw a rune circle and teleport…"

"If I'd known, I would've asked for a ride too."

— — —

Back at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

A shadow crashed down from above—Panda.

His eyes locked immediately onto a familiar figure lying motionless in a pool of blood.

"Maki!!" Panda cried out.

His body instantly transformed into full combat mode—Cursed Energy surging through his steel-like fists.

He launched a devastating punch straight toward Suguru Geto from above.

But Geto…

He only smiled.

Though his Cursed Spirit Manipulation was primarily a long-range technique, as a Special Grade Sorcerer, his physical prowess was on a whole different level.

He wasn't about to be caught off guard.

— — —

Cursed Technique: Suguru Geto — Cursed Spirit Manipulation

Cursed Spirit Manipulation is a technique that allows the user to subjugate and command cursed spirits at will.

If the grade difference between the sorcerer and the spirit is two ranks or more, Geto doesn't even need to fight. He can simply swallow a condensed orb—formed from the cursed spirit's essence—and gain full control over it.

Yes, through his mouth.

As disgusting as it sounds...

(Geto once described the taste as something like "licking a used mop soaked in puke... from a sewer. Unrinsed.")

As of now, Suguru Geto had collected over five thousand cursed spirits.

The advantage of this technique? Limitless variety.

Even if an opponent manages to read his patterns, he can simply switch to another cursed spirit mid-battle, reshaping his entire strategy.

With this ability, Geto could simultaneously control multiple Semi-Grade 1 spirits. No cooldown. No delay.

Just relentless assault.

— — —

Geto gracefully sidestepped Panda's heavy strike. With swift precision, he reached into the mouth of a slug-like cursed spirit—Chōbō—and pulled out a long, curved cursed blade.

Without pause, he hurled it directly at Panda.

The blade struck deep into Panda's back, driving the large cursed corpse to the ground.

"Down he goes."

But from behind Panda's fallen body—emerging like a whisper of vengeance—came Toge Inumaki.

He had used Panda as a shield to conceal his approach.

With eyes glowing, Toge unleashed his Cursed Speech Technique at full force.

"Explode."

The command struck Geto head-on.

The ground shook violently.

BOOM—!!

A crater dozens of meters wide tore open beneath him.

Even so, neither Panda nor Toge dared to lower their guard. They immediately rushed to lift Zenin Maki, who was still bleeding heavily.

But before they could retreat—a gust of cursed wind screamed past them.

Suguru Geto—untouched, unscathed—rose from the crater, surrounded by surging cursed aura.

— — —

Thud. Thud.

Two quick strikes.

That was all it took.

Panda and Toge were sent flying through the air, slamming into the courtyard wall, unconscious and severely wounded.

Geto exhaled, about to turn and pursue Okkotsu Yuta...

Then he stopped.

A quiet laugh escaped his lips as he turned his gaze behind him—locking eyes with the boy now standing there, trembling with fury.

Okkotsu Yuta.

His voice cracked as he shouted—not in fear, but in desperation:

"RIKA!!"

For the first time, he called her name not out of fear, but resolve—from the depths of his soul.

From behind him, a colossal figure erupted—her monstrous form towering above the battlefield.

Rika Orimoto.

The Special Grade cursed spirit known as the Queen of Curses.

Without hesitation, Yuta drew his katana and dashed forward.

Rika roared behind him, moving in perfect sync—crashing toward Geto like a living storm.

Geto remained calm.

With a flick of his hand, he once again reached into Chōbō's mouth and pulled free a longer cursed blade—just in time to block Yuta's strike.

Around him, he summoned dozens of new spirits—sending them swarming toward Rika from all directions.

But to Rika...

They were nothing but flies.

In an instant, she tore them to shreds—one after another. With a single motion, she snatched up the bodies of Panda, Inumaki, and Maki, and carried them back behind Yuta.

Yuta saw this and immediately retreated—leaping to a balcony high above the courtyard.

"Rika, hold him off."

"I need time to heal them."

He began channeling Reverse Cursed Technique—pressing his hands gently onto Maki and Inumaki, his Cursed Energy weaving into their injuries.

— — —

Facing the Queen of Curses alone, Suguru Geto remained unshaken.

He didn't attack.

He simply observed—releasing a few minor spirits to hover beside him.

Reverse Cursed Technique required immense concentration.

One mistake in reversing the flow of cursed energy... and the brain could suffer irreversible damage.

Letting Yuta heal was fine.

The other three were no longer threats. In fact, they were burdens.

The longer Yuta drained his reserves, the easier this fight would become.

But even as he watched, Geto realized something.

This boy...

He wasn't ordinary.

Suddenly, hundreds of blood-red centipede-like curses slithered out of Geto's body—flooding the base of the tower where Yuta stood.

They hissed and screeched, their grotesque forms scaling the stone walls like an army of nightmares.

Yuta didn't flinch.

Instead, he raised his left hand—the one not holding a sword.

With a sharp flash of cursed energy, a megaphone appeared in his palm.

Etched onto its surface was a distinctive serpent-eye-and-fang symbol—the mark of the Inumaki Clan.

Geto's eyes narrowed.

"That symbol… Cursed Speech?"

— — —

With a steady voice, Yuta raised the megaphone.

"Shine."

Die.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

All the cursed centipedes exploded at once—torn apart by the sheer force of amplified Cursed Speech.

Dust and black mist spiraled into the air.

Suguru Geto stood still.

Then, slowly, he smiled.

"Incredible... Truly incredible…"

"This cursed spirit… It's unreal."

"Rika… she can morph freely. Her entire body is composed of impossibly dense cursed energy. If I could control her…"

"My dream… it would finally be possible."

His voice trembled with excitement—half whisper, half moan.

Yuta landed quietly in front of him, his blade dripping with cursed energy.

"You hurt my friends."

"I'm going to kill you."

— — —

Geto grinned coldly.

"Your entire body is saturated in cursed energy. It's enhanced your strength, sharpened your senses beyond human limits. No one outside the top echelon can even touch you anymore."

"Looks like…"

"I'll have to get serious."

He extended his hand toward Chōbō's mouth again—pulling out a new weapon.

Yū-un.

— — —

Yū-un—a three-section red nunchaku, classified as a Special Grade Cursed Tool.

Originally a treasure of the Gojo Clan, it was worth over 500 million yen.

Uniquely, it had no inherent cursed technique. Its power came entirely from the user's strength.

It symbolized pure, raw violence.

Once stored in the arsenal of Fushiguro Toji, it was sealed inside the body of Chōbō.

After Toji's death, Geto had acquired the curse—and with it, every weapon hidden within.

— — —

With his katana in hand, Okkotsu Yuta charged forward once more—side-by-side with Rika, the Queen of Curses.

One boy. One curse.

Moving as one.

Their synchronization was terrifying.

The battlefield quaked as they clashed with Suguru Geto.

But just as the impact rang out…

A new presence descended from the sky.

— — —

Running through the air at blinding speed, Zenin Kyūjō finally arrived.

High above Tokyo Jujutsu High, he stopped midair—eyes narrowing as he activated Infinity Perception.

In one instant, he scanned the entire battlefield:

Maki—unconscious.

Mai and Arisa—missing.

The school—in chaos.

Geto—still fighting.

Kyūjō closed his eyes.

"…I failed to keep my promise."

But just for a second.

When he opened them again, they were blazing.

His cursed fist ignited.

Black Flash burst to life.

With a single strike, he shattered the barrier below like glass.

BOOM!!

The explosion rocked the campus.

Both Yuta and Geto turned, eyes drawn to the overwhelming presence that had just arrived.

There, descending from the sky, stood a silver-haired boy with piercing blue eyes—his expression colder than death itself.

For a moment, Geto almost mistook him for Gojo Satoru.

But the boy's voice quickly corrected that illusion.

"So you're Suguru Geto."

"All of this… was your doing, wasn't it?"

His voice was calm—but it echoed like thunder inside Geto's chest.

Geto narrowed his eyes and gave a cautious nod.

This wasn't Gojo.

But the aura radiating from Zenin Kyūjō…

Was just as terrifying.

Maybe more.

Without another word, Kyūjō dropped to the ground.

Thud.

He landed squarely between Yuta and Geto.

He turned toward Yuta.

"Take them and fall back."

"I'll handle this."

Yuta didn't argue.

With a silent nod, he turned toward his injured friends.

Geto took a breath and tightened his grip on Yū-un.

No more tricks. No more proxies.

The one now standing before him—

Was a true monster.
