The Kyūbi felt like it had been tricked.

Kazama then used his Kamui once more, transporting himself and Naruto back to the Island of Paradise.
At that moment, Yamato, Kai, and Killer B were frantically searching for Naruto and Kazama. When they suddenly saw the two reappear, they nearly jumped out of their skin.
"Where the heck did you two go? I thought the Kyūbi swallowed you both!"
Killer B had witnessed the Kyūbi's rampage earlier, so when he woke up to find Naruto and Kazama gone, he naturally assumed the worst.

Killer B, on the other hand, shook his head like a rattle, refusing to believe it.
"Hey, Killer B, why do you always have to contradict us Konoha ninja?"
Even Motoi, a fellow Cloud Village shinobi, started grumbling at Killer B's attitude.
"I'm not trying to pick a fight! It's just that I haven't helped Naruto take chakra from the Kyūbi yet. There's no way he could've gained its power!"
As Killer B spoke, Naruto, who had been unconscious, finally stirred awake.
"Naruto, have you mastered the Kyūbi's power?"
Killer B rushed over to ask him.
"Huh? Kyūbi's power? I don't know what you're talking about!"
Due to the Kyūbi's earlier rampage, Naruto was suffering from temporary memory loss.
"See? I told you! Without my help, there's no way Naruto could control the Kyūbi's power!"
Killer B puffed up with pride, feeling indispensable.
If Naruto had really learned to control the Kyūbi on his own, Killer B would've felt useless.
"Naruto, try drawing out the Kyūbi's chakra now," Kazama instructed.
"Oh, alright!"
Following Kazama's words, Naruto quickly communicated with the Kyūbi within him.
In an instant, the Kyūbi lent its full power to Naruto.
To everyone's shock—except Kazama's—Naruto didn't just access the Kyūbi Chakra Mode. He skipped straight past it, entering the even more powerful Kurama Mode.
Everyone present was floored.
Killer B, in particular, was so stunned that he collapsed onto the ground.
