The sky full of stars suddenly turned into meteors, streaking down with a deafening roar, sending everyone scrambling in panic.
"This is our Hoshigakure clan's secret jutsu! How can an outsider like him use it?"
The young man called Natsuhiboshi (Summer Star) collapsed to the ground in shock, his face full of disbelief.
But just as the barrage of meteors seemed about to crash down, they vanished in the next moment.
"Sorry, everyone, I was just messing with you. So, do I qualify now to ask for your help sailing out to sea?"
Seeing that Kazama had spared their lives, the crowd finally recognized his true strength. Realizing they'd underestimated him, they hurried over, bowing and apologizing profusely.
"We were blind fools! Please, don't hold it against us, little brother!"
Satisfied with their submission, Kazama gave a nod of approval.
At that moment, Natsuhiboshi rushed up and asked eagerly, "Little brother, where did you learn that Hoshis (Star-Burning Firmament)? Can you teach me?"
Hoshis was a secret jutsu of Natsuhiboshi's clan, known only to their late clan leader. Seeing Kazama perform it left him utterly stunned.
"That's a long story. But if you're willing to sail with us and guide our route, I might just teach you."
"No problem, I'm in! Honestly, even if you don't teach me, I'd still help you guys out!"
Natsuhiboshi then shared the history of his Hoshigakure clan with Kazama and the others.
Long ago, his entire clan was slaughtered by pirates, who even stole their clan's sacred treasure. Driven by a desire for revenge, Natsuhiboshi wanted to join Kazama's group to take down those pirates.
While Kazama's main goal was to get Naruto to Killer B for training and to harness the Kyubi's power, he didn't mind dealing with some vile pirates along the way if they crossed paths.
"Let's go!"
With Naruto's excited shout, and with Natsuhiboshi and a few sailors' help, Kazama and the group set sail.
"Uh, just so you know, this is a hand-rowed boat, so it'll be pretty slow," Natsuhiboshi warned.
"How slow?"
Naruto, ever impatient, immediately pressed for details.
"Well, to reach that Paradise Island you're talking about… probably a month."
"A month?!"
Even the usually composed Kazama found the pace absurdly sluggish.
"Fine, I'll give this boat a boost!"
Might Guy grabbed the oars and started rowing at breakneck speed.
"This is the power of youth! Fly, everyone!"
Thanks to Guy's furious rowing, their speed picked up significantly. But the sea's resistance was too much, and after just the time it takes an incense stick to burn, Guy collapsed, exhausted.
"Let me give it a shot!"
Kazama stepped up, unleashing a Rasengan at the boat's stern. The spinning chakra acted like an engine, propelling the boat forward at incredible speed—several times faster than Guy's rowing.
"Awesome! At this rate, we'll reach the island in less than three days!" Natsuhiboshi exclaimed, thrilled.
"No way, Kazama. Your chakra's gonna run dry soon. Even I, the Blue Beast, couldn't keep it up for long!" Might Guy said with a skeptical grin.
But half a day later, not only was Kazama's Rasengan still going strong, it had evolved into an Oodama Rasengan (Giant Rasengan). The boat rocketed forward like a missile.
"You're a total monster, kid!"
Even Might Guy, famed for his endless stamina, couldn't help but admire Kazama.
"Everyone, we're getting close to the area where pirates often show up…"
Before Natsuhiboshi could finish, a large ship with a skull emblem loomed ahead, blocking their path.
