Though the Guren Goka (Red Lotus Karma Fire) wasn't ranked as high as the Joren Yozun (Pure Lotus Demon Fire), her strength was nothing to scoff at. She wasn't even afraid of Kazama, who wielded multiple Ika (Different Fires), so why would she fear the Joren Yozun?
As the Guren Goka and Joren Yozun clashed, one red and one white flame battling fiercely, the once-lush forest around them was instantly reduced to ashes. The sheer destructive power caught Kazama off guard, and even Kurozetsu couldn't help but marvel in secret.
"Kazama, you've finally met your match! Burn, you bastard!" Kurozetsu, taking advantage of the distance between himself and Kazama, hurled insults to vent his frustration.
But Kazama had superhuman perception. Every rustle of grass or gust of wind within hundreds of miles was crystal clear to him, let alone Kurozetsu's loud cursing. The moment Kurozetsu started mouthing off, a wisp of Kintei Futen'en (Golden Emperor Sky-Burning Flame) surrounded him, scorching Kurozetsu until he was rolling on the ground in a pathetic mess.
"Kazama, you bastard! Don't forget I'm possessing the Raikage right now! If you burn me to death, the Raikage won't survive either!"
"I have ways to save the Raikage. But you? I'll make sure you suffer a slow, painful death!"
As Kazama spoke, he turned his attention back to the aerial clash between the Guren Goka and Joren Yozun. The Joren Yozun was growing fiercer by the second, while the Guren Goka was struggling to keep up. There was indeed a significant gap in their power.
Even so, the Guren Goka showed no signs of backing down.
"Hey, Guren Goka, why keep fighting a losing battle? You're no match for me. That Kazama kid sent you out here to die. Why go so hard for him? Why not submit to me and be my… bed-warming girl?" the Joren Yozun taunted.
"You filthy jerk!"
The Joren Yozun's mockery only fueled the Guren Goka's rage. She knew she was outmatched, and despite unleashing everything she had, she was still being pushed back, defeat after defeat.
"You stubborn wench! If you won't see reason, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Just as the Joren Yozun prepared to deliver a killing blow, a burst of Kazan Ishi'en (Volcanic Stone Flame) appeared around the Guren Goka, blocking the attack. Then, a surge of Kintei Futen'en forced the Joren Yozun back several steps.
"You've got the Kintei Futen'en too?!"
The Joren Yozun was stunned to see Kazama's golden flame. Though the Kintei Futen'en was one rank below him, their power was nearly equal. The Kintei Futen'en might not be able to kill him, but he couldn't overpower it either.
Still, the Joren Yozun refused to back down, shouting at Kazama, "Kid, don't think you can intimidate me just because you've got three Ika! All three of your flames are my defeated foes!"
"You're wrong," Kazama replied coolly. "I don't just have three Ika."
With that, he summoned the rest of his arsenal—all seventeen remaining Ika. The Seirei no En (Flame of Life), Hakkou Hametsu'en (Eight Desolations Destruction Flame), Kukyo Kinsouka (Nine Nether Golden Ancestor Fire), and the already-revealed Guren Goka, Kazan Ishi'en, and Kintei Futen'en—a total of twenty Ika blazed into existence.
