Chapter 85 - Chapter 85 – Holding Tang San to Command Tang Hao

Prince Xue Xing represented the Heaven Dou royal family, and given the exceptionally close relationship between the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and the Heaven Dou court, it was only natural that he would come over to exchange a few words after the tournament ended.

"This isn't the best place to talk. Let's move to the hotel."

Chen Feng waved his hand, signaling for everyone to leave.

To Prince Xue Xing's surprise, everyone nodded in agreement—whether it was Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, Bone Douluo, or even Dugu Bo, who had come with him.

He's just the tournament champion, yet they're all treating him like this? The prince felt a bit unsettled. Could it be that, in their eyes, Chen Feng was already someone on equal footing with him?

Still, as a member of the imperial family, he wasn't foolish enough to voice such thoughts, especially not toward the man who had just claimed the championship.

In the Heaven Dou–royal-family-exclusive grand hotel, everyone took their seats. Even Chen Feng's teammates were no exception. He had deliberately called them here because there was something important to discuss.

"Feng Tao," Chen Feng began, "before we start, I need to ask you about the Fengjian Sect."

He looked directly at his disciple. In the original timeline, the Fengjian Sect had maintained very close ties with Spirit Hall—so much so that, after Spirit Hall declared the Wuhun Empire, the Fengjian Sect was given the position of one of the Upper Three Sects.

Hearing the question, Feng Tao froze briefly before nodding. "Master, whatever you want to know, I'll tell you everything."

Chen Feng nodded. "Then tell me—what is the relationship between your Fengjian Sect and Spirit Hall?"

"It used to be very distant, with little contact," Feng Tao replied thoughtfully. "But ever since the Clear Sky Sect went into seclusion, the Sect Master has seemed eager to see the Fengjian Sect rise into the Upper Three Sects. Recently, we've had much more contact with Spirit Hall."

He paused before adding, "I've personally seen the two Spirit Hall Elders, Yue Guan and Ghost, visit our sect."

This was a startling admission. Such information was usually beyond the reach of other major sects—yet Feng Tao revealed it without hesitation.

Prince Xue Xing and Ning Fengzhi exchanged a glance, both visibly moved.

"What is Spirit Hall seeking from the Fengjian Sect? Are they secretly planning something big?" the prince muttered with a frown.

Of course they are, Chen Feng thought. And it's not just 'big'—it's going to shake the entire continent. The Heaven Dou royal family won't be spared either.

If they didn't unite now, history would repeat itself: the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan wiped out, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect half-destroyed, the Heaven Dou royal family nearly overthrown.

They had to rally every major force before Spirit Hall made their move.

Chen Feng cleared his throat. "Everyone, under Bibi Dong's leadership, Spirit Hall has been steadily expanding its influence. The Soul Master world is already in turmoil beneath the surface. And the ones they see as the greatest threat—their most hated eyesore—are, first and foremost, the Upper Three Sects!"

"With the Clear Sky Sect in seclusion, that leaves only the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. If the two sects don't stand together, Spirit Hall will pick you off one by one."

His words rang with conviction.

Prince Xue Xing looked doubtful. "And how do you intend to prove what you're saying?"

Chen Feng shook his head. "I can't provide hard proof. Even the incident with Spirit Hall's Purple Robe Bishop attacking me can be dismissed as a personal feud."

"But I will say this—you must stay vigilant! You all heard it just now: Spirit Hall has already established contact with the Fengjian Sect. Who's to say they aren't secretly working with other sects as well?"

"Spirit Hall is already the most powerful force in existence. They have the largest number of soul masters, the most Title Douluo. If they decide to seize control of the Soul Master world, who could stop them?"

Prince Xue Xing chuckled. "Chen Feng, I won't deny that your reasoning is sound. But it's still nothing more than speculation, not evidence."

Chen Feng's voice turned calm, almost challenging. "Oh? Then, Prince, would you dare make a wager with me?"

"What wager?"

"Let's bet that on our way back to the Heaven Dou Empire, Spirit Hall will send people to attack."

He leaned forward slightly. "I know you won't believe me without proof. But if they do make a move, wouldn't that be the clearest evidence possible? Let's wait and see."

Turning to Ning Fengzhi, Chen Feng asked, "Uncle Ning, how's the matter I asked Sword Grandpa to pass on to you?"

"All arranged," Ning Fengzhi replied. "Clan Chiefs Yang Wudi and Niu Gao will both come in person to assist. Dugu Bo will help as well."

Chen Feng nodded. In this tournament, he had revealed both his Killing God Domain and his sixth spirit ring of a hundred-thousand-year quality. No doubt Bibi Dong was already alarmed.

In the worst-case scenario, she might even suspect he had undergone a God Trial.

And Bibi Dong was not a woman to underestimate—her ruthlessness had already proven capable of erasing entire sects. There was nothing she wouldn't do.

Better safe than sorry.

On his first day in Spirit City, Chen Feng had instructed Sword Douluo to send word to Ning Fengzhi to call for reinforcements.

If Bibi Dong acted, it wouldn't be with just one or two Title Douluo—she might even personally take the field.

So Chen Feng had reached out to Yang Wudi of the Breaking Clan and Niu Gao of the Defense Clan—one offense, one defense. Either could hold off a Title Douluo alone.

Especially Yang Wudi—if supported by Ning Fengzhi's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, he could even take one down outright.

Add in Dugu Bo, and while the poison master was not the strongest in one-on-one duels, he could certainly stall an opponent.

Including Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo, Spirit Hall would need to dispatch at least five or six Title Douluo to have a chance of blocking them.

"Did you contact Tang San's father? That man's a monster," Chen Feng said.

Ning Fengzhi nodded. "We did, but he seems unwilling to clash with Spirit Hall anymore."

Chen Feng waved it off. "That's fine. I have a way. On the return trip, we'll travel together with Shrek Academy. If Tang San's in danger, I refuse to believe that old b***ard will sit still."

"…"

Ning Fengzhi was speechless. Chen Feng's plan… couldn't be denied—it was too effective.

Would Tang Hao just stand by while Tang San was in danger? Impossible. He had only one son and had once beaten up Zhao Wuji over him.

Still, this approach was… a little ruthless.

What was this tactic called?

Holding Tang San to command Tang Hao.
