"My stand remains," Lilith said firmly, her voice cutting through the lingering tension in the void.
"I will help you, as long as my two sons are spared." She crossed her arms, her crimson eyes locking onto Aaron's with unyielding resolve.
Aaron clicked his tongue in mild irritation.
"Tsk. I badly want to kill Nick, you know? But oh well, it will be fun having someone to annoy once in a while," he agreed to her terms, a reluctant smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"But," he added, his tone sharpening like a drawn blade, "should they desperately want death by their actions, then I will go ahead and kill them."
The warning hung heavy in the air, the sealed space feeling even more confined, the dead planets orbiting silently as if bearing witness to the fragile pact forming between them.
