The crown prince's willow-like arched eyebrows rose slightly, and his hand reached for his sword. Even though he knew that he was going to die, he didn't want to die without a fight.
However, the attack that he was waiting for never came; instead, he heard a childish voice echoing in his ears.

"Who are you?" The crown prince asked with a frown on his face. He, for one, knew that other than him, no one could hear the voice that was echoing in his ears.
Because if his guards could hear this voice they wouldn't have stayed quiet. They would have jumped to protect him right away, but they did not make a move, which meant that he was the only one who could hear this childlike voice. Which made him wonder if he was dying because why else was he hearing the voice of a child if not for him dying?
