Chapter 225 - 225: Light That Defies God.

For the first time, the Handmaidens of God felt a chilling doubt in their hearts—could God Enel actually lose?

It was unthinkable. Enel had always been untouchable, battles ending before they even began. No one had ever managed to harm him.

Yet now…

Boom!

Blue-white lightning slammed into the earth, carving out a crater more than two meters deep. The soil smoked and sizzled, charred black by the thunder.

When the light cleared, Enel lay sprawled in the pit, golden staff clutched in hand, staring blankly at the canopy above. His mind struggled to register the truth.

"I was… kicked in the face by a Blue Sea man?"

Before he could even process the humiliation, Shirogai appeared in a flash of radiant light, floating calmly above him.

"Enel, wake up. You're not a god. You're just a man who happened to eat a Logia Devil Fruit," Shirogai said coolly, his gaze sharp. "You mistake luck for divinity."

"No!" Enel roared, forcing himself up from the dirt. His voice carried both fury and desperation. "I am God! The one and only!"

He raised his staff, striking the Raijin Drums fused to his back. Sparks flared.

"30 Million Volt… Raigo!"

From the crackling drums, raw lightning surged forth, condensing in the air. A monstrous bird of electricity took form, its vast wings stretching wide, claws razor sharp, eyes blazing with thunder's wrath.

"Blasphemer!" Enel sneered, pointing his staff at Shirogai. "Beg forgiveness in hell!"

With a flap of its wings, the colossal bird shrieked and dove toward its target.

Whoosh!

Shirogai vanished into a streak of golden-red light, reappearing casually a short distance away.

The bird twisted, shrieking, wings crackling as it wheeled back to strike.

Shirogai extended a glowing hand. His tone was calm, almost mocking.

"Three-Legged Golden Crow… devour it."

Light burst from his palm, condensing into a radiant bird wreathed in scorching brilliance. Its wings beat with searing heat, each flap igniting the air. For a moment, it was as if two suns burned in the sky.

The Golden Crow and the electric beast collided midair.

Boom!

Half the heavens blazed red-gold, the other half shone blue-white. The shockwave of their clash tore through the forest, snapping and scorching ancient trees, flames devouring the undergrowth.

"What was that sound?"

In the distance, God's four priests snapped their heads toward the blast, faces pale.

"Something's happening on God's Island…"

"Impossible. Who would dare oppose God?"

"Sacrifices must have fled. This breaks the laws!"

Elsewhere, Zoro had been wandering, predictably lost. The explosion made him pause.

"…A fight? That must be the so-called God."

He smirked faintly, then, in classic fashion, strode off confidently—in the wrong direction.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Nami crouched behind Robin, clutching her bag.

"This island is insane! What was that explosion?!"

Robin tipped her hat, a faint smile on her lips. "It seems someone is fighting. The question is… who?"

Nami's voice rose, shrill with nerves. "Who cares who! We should stay far away from that!"

Then her frustration boiled over. "And where did Zoro go?! That idiot got lost again, didn't he? We were right beside him a moment ago!"

Robin chuckled softly. "You've traveled with him long enough to know—it's his specialty."

Nami growled, slamming a stick against the ground. "And that idiot Shirogai! He said he had something to do, then disappeared. Now we're stuck here as sacrifices, and he just left us with this mess!"

Robin only smiled faintly, but inside her heart stirred uneasily. She knew the truth—Shirogai wasn't an ordinary man. He was a monster who had already fought Admirals on equal footing. Power like that was terrifying.

Back at the battlefield, the Golden Crow soared upward, its blazing form unscathed despite the violent clash.

Enel's eyes widened in disbelief. "That… that thing survived?! How can your ability create so many different forms?!"

His voice cracked, rage boiling into panic. "What are you?!"

Shirogai's smile was faint, almost pitying.

"Even gods get confused, it seems. That's the problem with people who never leave their little corner of the world—they think their limits define reality. The moment someone stronger shatters those limits, they panic."

"You mock me!" Enel snarled. Lightning surged around his body, his form flickering like a storm about to burst. "I'll kill your companions. I've already sensed where they are!"

Crackle!

His body dissolved into raw thunder and streaked across the sky.

Shirogai sighed, his expression tinged with boredom.

"So this is your divinity? When you can't win, you go after others."

He vanished into a flash of golden light, his voice echoing faintly.

"Enel… you're nothing but an arrogant brat throwing a tantrum."
