Robin and Blue Beetle pressed the attack on Cyborg. Robin hurled a few batarangs while Blue Beetle fired energy blasts from his blasters. Cyborg weaved between their attacks with ease, launching himself high into the air. Compartments along his body snapped open, releasing missiles that rained down on the heroes.
Robin and Blue Beetle split apart to dodge as the area erupted in a series of massive explosions. Blue Beetle soared through the smoke to confront Cyborg from above, only to be met by Cyborg, who had transformed into a single, fully charged cannon. His eyes widened in horror. Before he could react, a thick blue beam shot straight at him, striking him squarely in the chest and sending him crashing toward the ground, crying out in pain.
"Beetle!" Robin shouted, worry cutting through his voice as he ran to check on him.
He leapt back just in time to avoid an energy blast as Cyborg landed in front of him. Drawing his sword, Robin charged. But Cyborg raised a hand, morphing it into a pulse cannon that unleashed piercing sound waves. Robin stumbled, clutching his ears in agony, his vision blurring.
Before he could recover, a solid punch from Cyborg slammed into him, sending him flying into the rubble where Blue Beetle had fallen.
High above, Beast Boy, who had transformed into a pterodactyl, was engaged in an aerial battle, with Starfire providing ranged support. Beast Boy dove at Hawkman as Hawkman swung his mace. Beast Boy then turned into a rat, jumping onto the handle of the mace, then onto Hawkman's shoulder, and hopped off. He shifted again into a bear behind Hawkman and swiped at him, striking him in the back. Hawkman spiraled in the air, and Beast Boy turned into an eagle to avoid falling.
Hawkman turned his attention toward him, only to be struck by a starbolt from Starfire. Regaining his balance, he gritted his teeth and charged toward her. Beast Boy, following from behind as an eagle to continue the assault, made the mistake of getting too close. Hawkman turned quickly and struck him with his mace, sending him to the ground.
Hawkman was then struck in the back by a more powerful starbolt, sending him flying toward the ground. Starfire rushed after him and tackled him, and they crashed into the ground, carving a deep trench before coming to a stop.
Starfire launched a punch at Hawkman's face, but he tilted his head down, and her punch struck the ground with a bang. Hawkman pulled her close and headbutted her. She stumbled back as he stood up and swung his mace toward her head. She hastily raised her guard, taking the blow to her arms.
Hawkman grabbed her while she was still disoriented, flying high into the air with her. He spun around a few times before hurling her toward the ground, and she crashed down with a loud bang.
-------
Thena ran toward Terra to check on her, pulling her up as she asked, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. He's too damn fast," Terra said, looking at Flash as he sped around the battlefield, destroying Thena's clones. "We need an attack that will cover a huge area in order to hit him."
"Yeah, I know. I'll lead the attack. When you get the chance, go wild,I'll do the same," Thena said as she went through a sequence of hand seals. "Fire Style: Fire Annihilation!"
She spat out a massive wave of fire that spread out in a fan shape and rushed toward Flash. All the remaining clones dispersed into smoke as the flames reached them. Flash moved out of the way and rushed toward them.
Terra's hands glowed yellow as the earth shook and cracked. Two massive slabs of earth rose from the ground, attempting to sandwich Flash between them. They collided with a loud bang.
Thena's left hand erupted in lightning as she vanished, reappearing beside Flash. She thrust her hand forward, intending to pierce him, but Flash dodged just in time. Her lightning-coated fist punched into the ground as Flash continued toward Terra.
Terra launched a volley of sharp rocks at him, but Flash kept coming. She tried to kick him, only for Flash to catch her leg and slam her into the ground, knocking the breath out of her. Then he phased his hand through her chest. Terra cried out in pain.
Thena was about to intervene when Flash spoke. "Don't move. If I stop my hand, she dies."
Thena froze in her tracks, her eyes widening in horror before quickly turning to rage. The ground trembled as massive vines began to emerge. Flash frowned and phased his hand deeper into Terra's chest as Terra groaned, clenching her teeth in pain.
Thena closed her eyes and forced herself to stay rational, and took a deep breath. The quaking then stopped soon after.
Seeing Thena's surrender, Flash turned to Raven, who had been watching the entire time, torn between fighting and surrender. "Surrender, Raven," he said.
Not a second later, Starfire came crashing down to the ground, Hawkman landing beside her. He placed a foot on h6er back to keep her down and wrapped his mace around her neck in a chokehold as she struggled.
Cyborg landed moments later, holding the unconscious Blue Beetle and Robin by the scruff of their necks. He dropped Blue Beetle to free his right hand, which morphed into a white-noise cannon and leveled it at Robin.
"Give it up, Raven, and accept your destiny," Cyborg said.
"Don't hurt them. I'll go," Raven said as she removed her hood. "As the daughter of your lord Trigon, I order you to release these feeble humans."
Flash released Terra and rushed toward Raven. Cyborg dropped Robin and moved to join him, while Hawkman released Starfire and followed as well.
Thena rushed back to Terra. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good," Terra replied.
Thena looked toward the possessed heroes surrounding Raven as she opened a portal. Her expression darkened again, but Terra stopped her. "Don't, Thena. We need backup first."
Thena hesitated, then reluctantly nodded.
Raven turned toward the only conscious Titan left,Starfire. "Goodbye," she said softly. Then she looked at Thena and Terra. "And to you too."
With that, Raven stepped into the portal, followed by Hawkman, Cyborg, and Flash.
The portal closed behind them as Starfire went to check on Robin and Blue Beetle.
"Are they okay?" Thena asked.
"They should be. They seem to be unconscious at the moment," Starfire replied.
Terra went over to Beast Boy, who lay embedded in the ground from how hard Hawkman had struck him. She walked up and nudged him with her foot. "Hey, wake up."
Beast Boy groaned awake, rubbing his head as he looked up at Terra. "Are you an angel? Am I dead?" he asked.
"No, you're not. You just got your shit rocked," Terra said as she walked away.
Beast Boy stood up, wincing as he touched the sore spot on his head. "Man, I've never been hit that hard," he muttered.
A sonic boom echoed overhead as Wonder Woman landed, one arm slung over Nina's shoulder.
"Mom!" Thena called out as she ran toward them, immediately fussing over Wonder Woman.
"I'm fine, Thena. Just a little beat up. Nina here doesn't pull her punches," Wonder Woman said.
"Yeah, I kinda got carried away a little bit. Now let me guess, you got your asses handed to you and Raven had to bail you out, huh?" Nina asked with a grin.
"Pretty much," Thena replied.
Martian Manhunter, who had also recovered, arrived soon after. "I must apologize on my comrades' behalf for our rash actions, Miss korand'r," he said.
"It's fine. You were doing what you thought was best," Starfire replied.
"What is the next course of action?" Martian Manhunter asked.
"It is best we recover for now before taking any further action," Starfire said.
