Lana slowly opened her eyes as the ray of sunlight flashed through the small openings between the curtains, sitting up on the bed she looked outside trying to recall what happened the other day
After she fell asleep on her torn dress she couldn't recall anything else, glancing down at her body, she was wearing a night gown and was neatly tucked in her bed, bringing up her bruised wrist it was bandaged
Squinting her eyes she tried to remember what happened last night but she couldn't recall anything, it was like her memories through the night was erased, how could someone bathe her, change her clothes and dress her injury yet she didn't even open her eyes
She racked through her mind thinking about who could have handled her so gently to not wake her up, and for some reason the first person that came to her mind was Kairos
She imagined Kairos picking her up in her sleep and undressing her, covering her face with her hand she shook her head vigorously her cheeks turning red, nope she couldn't imagine that maybe it was Aubrey or Diane
Nodding she settled with the fact that Aubrey or Diane or even both of them took care of her while she was asleep, making a mental note to thank them when they come by
Looking at her other wrist, the hand Kairos held before he left, she wondered if he was going to want to ever see her again, she felt a bit guilty about what happened yesterday, maybe she was going to offer him an apology
She planned to go home but not exactly in bad terms with the person who gave her a job, a job she doesn't exactly do anything but still get paid
Pulling the blanket away from her body, she placed her legs on the ground, standing up to go have her bath and prepare to be at Kairos side
The sound of knocking on the door made her stop on her tracks, walking to the door instead she opened it to see two giddy girls squealing like they were about lay the hottest tea in town
Glancing indifferently at both of them she wondered what they were screaming about "good morning girls how many I help you" she said yawning
"You really don't know what everyone is talking about do you" a girl with brown wavy hair that was packed into a pony tails asked or more like squealed
Lana looked down at their clothes, they were dressed in their maid uniform, she was impressed at how early the maids woke up
"Wait, you're still in your night gown don't tell me you just woke up" the other girl with short blonde hair and hazel eyes said scowling at Lana
Wiping her eyes Lana didn't even bother answering any of their questions, leaving the door open for them she turned back making her way to the bathroom
"Hey wait you can't just ignore us like that" the girl with brown hair complained walking into the room, the other followed suit nodding in agreement
Lana paused in front of the bathroom door, turning her head to look at the two "are you guys here to clean up or chit chat"
"Look at you talking like you don't care about what everyone's saying" the girl with brown hair said frowning
Wiping her ears with her pinky finger "honestly Aubrey I don't care" Lana said "by the way thanks for helping me out last night" she said walking into the bathroom
"Helping you with what?" Aubrey asked exchanging confused glances with Diane, Diane shrugged she had no idea what Lana was talking about
"Seriously guys you don't have to be modest about it, you helped me prepare for bed while I was asleep" Lana screamed from the bathroom
"No we didn't" the girls replied simultaneously
And just like that the sleep in her eyes faded instantly, rushing out of the bathroom she stared wide eyed at the two girls "then who did"
"If you had listened to us, you would know who did" Diane said giving Lana an obvious look
"Don't tell me..."
"Yup it's just as you suspect, the king was the one who prepared you for bed while you were asleep" Aubrey interjected
The strength in Lana's knee gave out landing on the floor, how was she going to face Kairos now, knowing he has seen every part of her, she couldn't she wanted to runaway immediately
Looking at the two girls she stood up in a haste "guys I need to runaway right now, how am I supposed to face his majesty"
Diane laughed "you're really worried about just his majesty? How are you going to face everyone in the palace cause they all know"
Lana's eyes widened even more, it was worse than she thought "how did word even get out"
The girls shrugged
"On our way here, we just heard a group of girls talking about it and giggling" Aubrey said
Lana looked up at the ceiling, she was ready to die now, she closed her eyes praying that the death will be painless and quick.
Kairos walked out of the dungeon splattered with blood, after he had come back to see Lana in her room already passed out from exhaustion in her torn clothes and her injury still undressed
he sighed what was he going to do with this girl, he decided to dress her himself cause he didn't want to disturb her sleep or anyone else touching her
After that he went back into the dungeon, spending the rest of the night torturing the leader of the bandit just to let out the anger burning inside him
Walking passed the hallway towards his room, he saw a group of girls gathered in a corner giggling, he frowned wondering if there was nothing left for them to do in the palace, wasn't today the masked ball
Using his magic to make himself invisible he walked past them not wanting to startle them with his bloody body, the last thing he wanted was a group of girls screaming out of fear
"Did you see the way the king gently held her while feeding her, it was obvious that cunning girl was pretending to sleep" one of the maids said
Stopping in his tracks, his eyes darkened releasing the spell on him, he stood in front of their little group, "what cunning girl" he said startling the maids.
