Chapter 26 - When You Accompany Your Celebrity Brother

Because her today's itinerary was to prepare for her banquet, she didn't wear her disguise.

She knotted her hair into a ponytail and wore one of her clothes that was bought by her Aunt Yaning, a blue knee-length dress. She paired it with flat shoes that were comfortable for moving around.

When she arrived on the first floor, she saw Shen Wencheng talking with Shen Yaochen.

"I don't think it's okay," Shen Wencheng shook his head.

Shen Yaochen sighed. "What's wrong with choosing our own family to represent our family brand?"

"But-"

"No one knew, right? Even your agent didn't know about your relation to the Shens. It's going to be okay."

Shen Wencheng frowned but stayed silent.

"Little Fifth?" Shen Yaochen smiled. "Are you going to the salon and choosing some accessories?"

"Yes, Brother. Will you join us?"

"Too bad, I am still busy with my work. Someday I will ask you out."

"Okay, I will be waiting, Brother!"

Shen Yaochen laughed a little, almost invisible, but Sheng Xia could see his shoulder move.

Shen Yaochen turned his gaze toward Shen Wencheng. His demeanor changed. "Try to think about my offer."

"I am sorry to eavesdrop, but are you offering Brother Wencheng for one of our brands?"

"Yes, but he doesn't want to."

"For which brand?"

"Our branch company that sells luxury apartments."

"That's good! Why don't you take it, Brother Wencheng? While you're filming, can I follow you?"

Shen Wencheng looked shocked, then he looked at Shen Yaochen and nodded. "I will accept the offer."

Shen Yaochen wanted so much to punch this annoying brother of his. "The representative of the branch company will contact your agency. Just remember to sign the contract."

"Okay."

Shen Yaochen sighed and said goodbye to his siblings. His driver opened the door for him, and he drove away from the house.

Shen Wencheng cleared his throat. "L-Let's go?"

"Sure!" Sheng Xia smiled widely.

She felt happy because she was going to spend her day with a beautiful brother.

They left the house and, after around half an hour, arrived at one of the most famous salons in the capital. Shen Wencheng escorted Sheng Xia and introduced her to one of the best hairdressers.

Sheng Xia peeked at the people who stared at them directly or secretly.

Hmm, her brother is sure famous!

Shen Wencheng brought Sheng Xia to a private room and took a seat not far from Sheng Xia, who was being taken care of. Her hair was washed, cut, washed again, and finally dried and styled.

Shen Wencheng stared at Sheng Xia all the time and only checked his phone a few times.

Shen Wencheng smiled and amazed at how beautiful his sister was. Her aura was also full of light, so different from that of Cheng An.

He frowned when the memories of Cheng An resurfaced. He truly didn't like that woman at all.

"Brother Wencheng!" A voice called him, stopping him from delving into those bad memories.

Shen Wencheng turned his gaze toward Sheng Xia. "Yes?"

"What do you think, Brother?" Sheng Xia spun, and her hair moved with her. "Is it good?"

Shen Wencheng smiled shyly. "You are pretty."

Sheng Xia pouted. "Brother! I am asking about my hair!"

Shen Wencheng laughed. His laugh was so soft, it amazed almost everyone in the private room.

Sheng Xia sighed.

She started to worry about her brother in the entertainment industry. He was just too striking and easily loved.

Should she assign a bodyguard for him?

Hmm, let's check his agency thoroughly first. And throw away the bad ones.

Shen Wencheng talked with the hairdresser for a while and then escorted Sheng Xia to their car.

When the two left, the salon burst.

"Is that his sister, or his girlfriend?"

"So beautiful!"

"I think they are almost similar in appearance. Siblings, maybe."

"Do you see their car?"

"Yeah!"

"A luxury car! Man, I am jealous!"

"They even have a driver!"

"Isn't that normal for an actor to have a driver?"

"Ah, true..."

"But the driver feels different from the usual celebrity driver."

"Yeah, I feel that too!"

"But, didn't people say he was from an ordinary background?"

"I heard that too."

"I heard he was faced with many difficulties when he started acting."

"I heard he was an extra for two years before."

"Then, where does this super luxury car come from?"

All of them stopped talking and only stared at each other.

"M-Maybe the girl isn't ordinary?"

"But I never saw her before."

"Maybe he was her first."

"Do you mean they are in 'that' kind of relationship?"

"What? But Shen Wencheng was famous for his stance on that kind of matter, tho. He never joined any party or meeting that offered him an easy way to stardom."

"Maybe this time he did."

"No way..."

"We don't know. The entertainment industry was a muddy place after all."

"True, true."

In another place, a jewellery store, Sheng Xia didn't know that their appearance in the salon had started a flow of rumors about Shen Wencheng.

Sheng Xia stared at the rows of necklaces that were presented in front of her.

"Do you have a better one?" asked Shen Wencheng in disbelief.

The staff smile awkwardly. "We have. But it was usually prepared for our VVIP customers."

Shen Wencheng frowned. He finally realized that most of the time, he was known as only a celebrity to most people, but rarely served as a young master from the Shen family.

Shen Wencheng sighed.

"I am sorry, Little Xia. It shouldn't be me who accompanies you today." Shen Wencheng bowed his head in sadness.

Sheng Xia giggled. "What are you talking about. Let's check out another store. One of my friends recommended me a few stores who wasn't that famous yet but have good quality jewellery."

"Okay."

They left the store and drove away without looking back.

The staff who served them before sneered.

"Just a celebrity, but want to be served as a VVIP? Such arrogant behavior!"

Another staff member laughed. "Why are you so angry? They still are a customer."

"But they need to realize their worth, too. Do you think they can purchase our special jewellery that is worth millions, even billions? I'd better not waste my time on them."

"But I think you did this just because your favorite actor was a rival of Shen Wencheng, right?"

The staff rolled her eyes. "If he weren't so arrogant, I would still have served him, but looked at him!"

The other staff shook her head. "You better not regret this later."

"Why should I? He is just a lowly celebrity who caters to the wealthies."

"Don't cry to me if something happens in the future."

"Of course, I won't!"

The other staff sighed. She looked worried. From all the years she worked in this field, those two didn't look ordinary at all.

She hoped she was wrong.
