Commander Korvo's voice boomed across the training grounds.
"Today, we welcome our transfer students to Combat Fundamentals. Try not to kill them on their first day."
Aegis stood next to Scarlett, twirling her daggers absently. It was cold today, and Aegis couldn't stop bouncing around.
"Think they'll be hot?" Scarlett asked.
"It's the academy. Everyone's hot."
Scarlett nodded.
"Fair point."
The class waited. Twenty students in training leathers, pretending they weren't excited to see fresh meat. Aegis scanned the grounds. There was no sign of anyone just yet, but Aegis had a feeling they'd be arriving soon.
The game's script had the twins arriving during the afternoon classes. They were from a neutral faction, if Aegis's memory served, and had a desert lands background.
