The next day. The village was in chaos, every adventurers were shouting and training. Free was in his house writing some spells in a piece of paper with his spell pen, Lina enters his room with a tea in a tray, she put it in the table and turn back.
"You're going too Lina?" Free turn to her and Lina gave a nod. "Tomorrow's gonna be very troublesome".
"It will" she asnwers.
"Also what is the name of your party back in the days" Free finally asked.
"Our party name was.....Monster slayer we kill monster in dungeons and outside dungeons, we were well known as an A-rank party" Lina says flatly, Free was now more curious about it.
"Can yoy tell me more" he asked, putting his pen on the desk.
"The party was popular but not that much, lord Philip always challenge anyone he belive was strong he once even challenge a generals of this kingdom, he was said to be strongest but lord Philip went and challenged him" Lina said, with a faint chuckle.
"That's father for you" Free said, remembering the time Philip challenged a merchant because he look strong.
"Tomorrow we are going to fight together again like old days. i feel nervous" Lina said, gripping the tray in her hand tightly.
"Yes, it's also my first time going to battle a real strong monster" Free mutters, visibly nervous.
"Good luck with that" Lina said and she exits the room, Free turn to the tea ans took a sip.
Downstairs Hina was cleaning a mage dress, the staff on the table was already cleaned, beside it was another dress in purple colors a bit smaller than Hina's it was Lina's adventurer dress.
"Lady Hina is it done" Lina ask while entering the living room. She glance at her adventurer outfit then frowns. 'I really wear that thing, feels weird when you're older now, will it even fit' she thought to herself.
"I don't think think my adventurer clothes will fit me anymore" Hina said, measuring the size of the clothes with her size. "The chest is too small now" she put the dress in the table and look toward Lina. "Does your clothes still fit you Lina?" she asked.
"I don't know maybe should i wear it" she muttered and five minutes later she was in the purple dress, her hair in a ponytail and her pen in hand, it still fit her. "Still good".
"You Look younger!" Hina said half in disbelief and admiring Lina's physique, just then Free enters the living room with the cup of tea and froze at the scene.
He look at Hina who was still admiring Lina and then at Lina whose face was red. " Excuse me...." he quickly left the living room.
"Young master wait!!" Lina shouted, Free was already in his room he closed the door and take a deep breathe.
"Okay let's forget that ever happened...." he mutters to himself, he sat at his desk glancing at the spells he wrote in the piece of paper, then he turns his head to the window and in the garden Hinata and Elina were cleaning the garden, he sighs and took out a cigarette from under his pillow. 'I know i shouldn't smoke but it became a habit....Again' he thought, lighting up the cigarette with his finger.
In the garden Hinata and Elina were cleaning the leaves from the garden. "It's so tiring cleaning this leaves every day" Hinata muttered, crushing a dry leaf in her hand with frustration.
"Let's just do it sis, mom, dad, brother and mother Hina are all busy preparing for tomorrow's 'battle'" Elina said, taking a leaf in her hand and put it in the basket.
"Yeah" Hinata said with a bored face, her nose twitched from a weird smell. "What's this smell..." she asked, but Elina too look confuse, Hinata looks left and right then she look up and saw Free with a white rolled up paper in his mouth, smoke was coming out from the rolled up paper and from Free's mouth too. "Brother what's that!!!".
"Wah-nothing!!" He shouted, startled ,he accidentally drop his cigarette in the garden, it was still burning and Hinata picked it up.
"What is this?!" she asked, Elina came close to the cigarette and Free quickly exits his room to take it back.
"Smells weird" Elina said, covering her nose, Hinata stare at the cigarette then she bring it close to her mouth but Free snatch it in time.
"This isn't for kids...!" he said, breathing hard.
"But it looks fun!" Hinata said with a pout Elina took a step back.
" It's for boys not girls" Free said, the smoke burned off and Free sighs putting it back in his pocket but a hand grab his wrist from behind, it felt familiar, his head turn behind and his face slowly turns pale, it was Sylvia.
"Why?" she asked, sadness and disbelief was etched in her face . "Why didn't you tell me that you were doing such things?...".
"I can explain" Free said, the breeze brush through their hairs, the silence was loud Hinata and Elina quietly left the place.
Four minutes later...
Free was in his room with Sylvia sitting in his bed , face low, her white hair hide her face, she was silent for the whole time, he couldn't look at her. "Sylvia..." he mutters, she looks up her face was sad, Free look away in guilt. "I'm sorry i didn't tell you about it but..... i had reasons".
"Then why didn't you tell me about it" she answered, standing up she took his hand and put it in her cheeks. "I could have helped you".
"There are reason, i didn't even tell mom, dad and Lina about it" Free said, pulling back his hand, he took out the half smoked cigarette from his pocket and put it in the desk, Sylvia stare at the cigarette in the desk. "You can give me any punishment, i'll accept it" Free said, staring at the garden.
"Then promise me you won't do it again, if you can't you can say it now" she said, tearing the half smoked cigarette in half and throws it out of the window. "Promise me".
Free take both her hand and squeeze it gently "I...promise" Free said, he finally look at Sylvia in the eyes, she closes her eyes, he slowly move close to her but...
"FREE TIME TO TRAIN AGAIN!!!" Philip yelled from outside with Okoto, he opens the door and saw them, Sylvia and Free holding hands, their heads close to eachother and he knew what he was interrupting. "Ohh sorry...." he close the door and run downstairs with Okoto.
"Ah-le-let's focus on preparing for tomorrow's st-st-stampede" Free quickly pull his hand away, Sylvia face was flushed, she look down and nodded, meanwhile downstair...
BONK! BONK!. Philip and Okoto was hit in the head with a pan by Hina, her face was red from anger. "You meatheads" her voice was dark. "You guys disturbed their romantic moment, you should be embarrassed of yourselves" she said, launching spells at both of them, Lina was outside the living room staring at both of them getting beaten up by Hina.
"Ohh dear" Lina mutters to herself as a wind spell lands on Philip.
Hinata and Elina were outside, they stare through the window. "Mom really didn't let it slide" she whispers to Elina and Elina nodded.
"Let's be cautious when brother and big sis Sylvia are alone in a room" Elina mutter in dread as another spell lands on Philip and Okoto.
