Chapter 1 - Chapter First

Lavender's POV

Lavender Millet, hear me out, yelled my mother. I turned back and she grabbed my arms. She led me to a dark room with no trace of lighter colors.

"Listen to me carefully. The school in which I have enrolled you has the heirs of top multi-billionaire companies," she said. "So, we have to make good bonds with them. They will be helpful to us in future."

She started playing a video.

"This is Jacob Franklin. His father is the owner of Panada Business. He had already declared him as the future of Panada. Right next to him is Eric Fernandez, the son of Rosalind Fernandez, who runs their e-groups. Their initiative is to make many things simply available online. The one sitting on the chair is Aiger Benjamin. His parents run the BA group. I'm not sure whether he'll be the one to handle the business. And that's the last person, Mason Akabane, the chosen one for Akabane's group."

She takes a breath.

"The lucky thing for us is that you won't need to be friends with them separately, as they all hang out together. Being friends with any one of them would be sufficient. They name themselves as the Golden Gang."

"Are they helpful to us or you?" I hesitated.

"Us," she electronically answered.

---

Aiger Benjamin spoke

I clapped my hands twice to gain attention of the crowd. So, I kept the S short and O long.

"Which one of you will it be? I will give you random numbers card, and the number which will be chosen by Jacob will be beaten to death today," I exclaimed.

"One, two and three."

"Fifteen," Jacob announced.

"Who's fifteen?" Mason asked, looking at the candidates.

A boy slowly raised his hand, fear and terror striking from his eyes to the number card.

"Oh man, why are we really doing it? Come on, let's beat him up," a crowd of boys cheered from behind.

"Because everyone enjoys it," Eric stated calmly.

Did he just read my mind?

"How do you know what was going in my mind?"

"It's quite easy, Aiger. You were looking at the fifteen number card and seemed lost." Eric patted my head.

"Do we really have to do it?" I asked.

"We didn't ask the students to play it. They joined themselves and wanted to be a part of it. If anything happens, that's their responsibility. Now let's sit over there and watch."

I followed Eric and sat next to him.

"Maybe Eric's right. We're not forcing them to play it with us… However, who are we to choose their fate?"

"No one," Eric replied.

"Can you just stop reading my mind?" I yelled.

I now totally understood the reason behind Eric being a part of the Golden Gang.

Everyone in this gang have different abilities.

"Game start!" Mason shouted and sat beside us.

And… Boom, everyone was beating the guy.

Looking him beaten to pulp kind of… felt satisfying.

While every boy was busy beating the guy,

girls turned around to see someone.

I looked at Jacob and then Mason, we all looked backward at the same time.

"Can you believe it! She's running in a YSL heel?" a girl exclaimed from behind.

I adjusted myself a bit to get a clearer view of her. She was wearing a beige coat, black mask and goggle with a black YSL heel. Goddamn her hairs were swinging in the air as she was running. She looked back and sighed.

She looked up and saw everyone staring at her.

"I was not meaning to disturb," she hesitated.

"Can you please move aside and let me go through?"

Her voice was as sweet as bird, and the way she was looking at us was… Not afraid?

Jacob Franklin's POV

How dare she? How dare she interrupt and ask the guy to move aside to let her through?

"Can't you go from the other pathway or maybe you're tired of running in YSL heels?" I scoffed.

The place filled with ooh's. That's like my pals supporting me.

"I think that you quite didn't understand the way I spoke. I did not ask you but told you. Won't you move? This property belongs to Millets, doesn't it?"

So you're just a poor boy who just shows that he's rich. You can't even afford a place of your own.

"You!" I yelled. I went ahead and slapped her.

"What say, about an one on one?" I asked her.

Probably, she would deny after the slap I gave her.

"Then why not I," I heard her answer. "Who the heck is she? She's different."

Lavender Millet's POV:

He slapped me, Lavender Millet, & I'll show him what's his place in front of me. "You son of a b****."

"Ouch," I heard a boy say. It was Eric.

Reminder as hell as I remembered what mother told me.

"Get ready for a one-on-one," Jacob yelled.

"For sure!" I scoffed.

And it began. He tried to punch me, from which I dodged almost perfectly. He also tried to kick me and I dodged again. I clenched my fists and without any second thought, punched his face, then I kneed his balls and he fell down screaming onto the ground.

"Thank you for moving aside Mr. Franklin," I quickly said in his ears.

"You—" he wasn't able to speak and was in extreme pain.

I did not mean it but how can he just slap me! I should not waste my time here and move forward before the airplane takes off.

"Miss Lavender, stop right there, or we'll have to shoot you," a man in black suit said.

"Look it's clear as a glass, I'll really suggest you to go back to my mother and say she escaped. Got it?" My voice surprisingly scary, escaped.

"Ma'am, it's a matter of our job. We cannot leave you unless your mother orders us. Now don't move or else I'll have to shoot you."

Another man from behind said.

I looked around and saw that everyone present there were staring at me. Especially The Golden Gang.

"Enough with this Tom and Jerry game."

"Who do you think you are?" I paused.

"You will shoot me?"

"Looks like you forgot your place, didn't you?" My voice dropping low.

I took out the gun from my pocket which I usually keep for situations like this and pointed at him.

"Ma'am, you can't kill me!" The man's voice shaked with fear.

"Oh, Yes I, I Can!"

I aimed at him, adjusted the direction and target.

"Pull the trigger," said my inner voice. And I shot him dead. I walked towards him and crouched beside him.

"That's what happens when you mess up with me," I murmured in his ear.

"Consider this as a lesson for you all and go back to where you belong," I said to the rest of the team.

"I'll leave," I yelled.

When I turned back I saw everyone staring at me. Huh? Have they never seen something like this?
