Eutostea, the third princess of Thebes, is visited by the mysterious guest calling himself the God Apollo in bed. In pitch-black darkness, only an outline of him said, “I have come to share a one-night love with you. Once the night passes, you will not remember me, nor shall we meet ever again.” Soon, the three princesses band together to reveal his face while he is sleeping. But the candlewax melts off the tip of the candle in Eutostea’s hand and falls on the god’s shoulder. Apollo wakes, grabs the second princess, declaring, “Princess of Thebes, admire to your heart’s content. ‘Tis the face of the mere shell you sought so dearly.”

I set the papyrus sheet aside and rested my hand on the door that connected to the adjacent room. I slowly permeated through the door and entered the neighboring chamber, and then I realized I had been in goddess Hera's study, and the room I had entered was her sleeping quarters. 


Hera was perched on her bed while goddess Eileithyia knelt before her, head bowed. Beside Hera's peacock stood Artemis, who leaned against a magnificent wild creature with an expansive tail. She observed the mother and daughter interaction with her arms folded and from a distance without any direct involvement.


I halted, positioning myself to clearly observe the trio. From the moment I laid eyes on them in this chamber, I sensed that Hera and Artemis were attacking goddess Eileithyia.
