Chapter 141 - Chapter 135: Half Bag of Hidan

"Danzo-sama! I have avenged you!"

Yamanaka Feng shouted inwardly as he activated the clan's secret technique.

"Mind Body Switch Technique!"

He knew that Logan's willpower was overwhelming. Feng didn't expect to trap his soul forever—he just needed to freeze Logan for a split second, long enough to allow Hidan and Kakuzu to land a fatal blow.

And for a moment, he succeeded.

His consciousness pierced into Logan's soul.

That brief soul-disconnection caused Logan to freeze, unable to dodge Di Yuanyu's final attack.

Feng prepared to withdraw and return to his body as the powerful ninjutsu wave approached, but just as he tried to escape, something cold and firm wrapped around his neck—like an invisible hand.

"Aww, it wasn't easy for you to get in here, and you want to leave already? How rude of us brothers to let you walk away like that."

A snake-like, mocking voice slithered from behind.

Yamanaka Feng's vision darkened.

He struggled to turn his head and saw the piercing stare of Star Platinum. Beside him stood White Snake, one hand on his hip, the other lazily spinning a finger before jabbing it straight into Feng's temple.

But it wasn't just them.

Purple vines snaked along the ground. A tiny floating plane hovered in the air. A pink humanoid cat crouched nearby. A rainbow-colored mask shimmered ominously. A will-o'-the-wisp flickered in the distance.

As the head of the Yamanaka Clan, Feng was an expert in spiritual arts. One glance, and he knew—

He was completely trapped inside Logan's consciousness.

Here, time flowed differently. Three days and nights could pass in this mental world while only a second passed outside.

But this wasn't a typical mind. A normal person's consciousness had limited defenses—maybe some reactive instincts or barriers. But Logan...

"Oi, Brother Shan, what wicked thoughts are you cooking up now?"

White Snake suddenly slapped Feng across the face. "I wonder if we can hear your thoughts here too?"

Feng toppled backward.

He tried to rise, but White Snake shouted, "Brothers! Kill him!"

Star Platinum, White Snake, Killer Queen, and the others pounced. Some kicked him, others whipped him with vines or shot him with bullets. It was a merciless beatdown.

---

Hundreds of meters away, the real body of Yamanaka Feng suddenly collapsed, falling from the rooftop with a thud.

> "Killed Yamanaka Feng. Gained 450 soul fragments."

Logan blinked at the system prompt.

"…Who is Yamanaka Feng?" he muttered.

He didn't recognize the name and had no idea why someone he didn't even notice dying would count as his kill.

Kakuzu's Earth Grudge: Final Shot was still charging toward him. Behind that, Hidan swung his scythe with a wild grin.

Logan, just released from the Mind Body Switch Technique, remained still.

He was... savoring the feeling.

That strange disconnection between soul and body... being unable to move even though fully aware—it reminded him of Lesson Two in Golden Spin practice:

> "Don't let your muscles notice."

Hidan's scythe loomed close. Dark blotches spread across the blade—the power of death granted by the evil god.

Di Yuanyu's ninjutsu wasn't far behind. The wind pressure alone made it hard to breathe for anyone nearby.

Anyone else in Logan's shoes would be completely doomed.

But Logan?

He just exhaled a slow sigh.

The moment passed.

---

He lifted a hand and caught the scythe mid-swing. The black curse energy crawled up the blade—but stopped, repelled by ripple flames that ignited from Logan's fingertips.

Hidan's body froze mid-air, completely suppressed by the ripple energy.

Chi—

Golden jets burst from the back of Logan's Destruction Sword.

Killer Queen appeared behind him, gently touching the sword.

Bomb planted.

Logan looked calmly at the Final Shot still barreling toward him. Behind him stood Terumi Mei and the others... and further back, the lights of Kyoto City.

He couldn't afford to dodge.

And he didn't need to.

He flicked his wrist. The Destruction Sword launched like a missile, golden ripple flames raging around the blade, amplified by the earth beneath it.

BOOM!

The blade clashed with the shockwave mid-air.

A pause.

Then, the sword sliced straight through the technique as if cutting tofu. It continued forward—

And sliced clean through Kakuzu's arm.

Click.

Killer Queen hit the detonation switch.

BOOM!

Kakuzu's body ballooned, then disintegrated into golden dust, the explosion resonating on a soul-deep level.

> "Killed Kakuzu. Gained 990 soul fragments."

"K-Kakuzu-dono!"

Hidan wept with envy.

"Don't be jealous," Logan said flatly. "You're next."

Killer Queen planted a second bomb—this time on Hidan's scythe.

Click.

Boom.

Same explosion. Same dust.

Same fate.

> "Defeated Hidan. Gained 850 soul fragments."

"…Defeated?" Logan frowned.

Not killed?

The wind blew the ashes apart.

Suddenly, bats and mosquitoes swarmed in. They scooped up handfuls of ash, others covered in it, then vanished in smoke—summoning beasts escaping with Hidan's remains.

Logan's eyes widened.

"Star Platinum World—Time Stop!"

Good thing he hadn't used time-stop earlier. He'd chosen to tank Kakuzu's attack to avoid damaging the city. But now?

If he hadn't reacted, Hidan really would've escaped.

The explosion had scattered his remains too widely for normal eyes to track.

But with Star Platinum's absolute precision—

Every speck of ash was caught.

Logan pulled out a bag of snacks and tossed it over.

When time resumed, the bag was half full.

Logan sealed it.

Still, nearly a fifth of Hidan's ashes had escaped with the summoning beasts. Four-fifths were now in his possession.

It was a transparent ziplock bag. You could see the dust clearly.

"…Is this still considered 'alive'? What if it's like a seed and just... regrows from a single speck?"

He didn't know. He planned to let Orochimaru's institute analyze it later.

He looked up.

The remaining ninjas and samurai across the battlefield took two steps back.

They weren't just frightened.

They were terrified.

Kyoto's samurai had seen powerful people before. Money-hungry or not, they weren't cowards.

But no one had ever seen a man collect his enemy's ashes in a bag... and look unsatisfied.

Rumors of Logan's "ghost-raising" and terrifying notoriety suddenly felt very real.

They weren't afraid to die for money.

But being used for ghost experiments after death?

Too horrifying.

Logan silently pursed his lips, became a "gap", and threw the bag into his ghost room.

That was the last straw.

The ninja and samurai dropped their weapons, fell to their knees, and begged for mercy, pleading not to be refined into ghost slaves.

---

Oda Ieyasu watched as Logan annihilated three enemies in quick succession. He felt a suffocating tightness in his chest.

He had seen many legendary figures.

But none of them gave off this overwhelming pressure.

This was power that could shake the world.

From the side, Terumi Mei and Zabuza approached, looking like they'd just swallowed sour lemons.

"Logan, we're sorry, we—"

Logan waved a hand.

"There's nothing to apologize for. The opponent was Akatsuki, and they had the home-field advantage. Defense is always harder than offense."

Due to his ties with the Foundation, Logan had full transparency on the abilities of Hidan, Kakuzu, Terumi Mei, and Zabuza—and vice versa.

In a fair 4v4 fight with no emotional burdens?

The outcome wouldn't have been so certain.

Logan turned to Oda Ieyasu.

"My son's safe. The killers are dead. The Suigen Festival convoy will reach the daimyo's residence in less than an hour."

"So—how will you survive this?"

If Oda had no plan, Logan would resort to the method he knew best.

Oda Ieyasu gave a strained smile.

"Leave that to me. But first... I need to see my wife."

He had power, influence, and preparations. If his wife hadn't betrayed him, he wouldn't have been cornered like this.

Logan narrowed his eyes.

"And after that?"

A flicker of sorrow crossed Oda's face.

"…I'll kill her."
