Chapter 13 - 13. Map

Alka stood on the deck, wearing a sailor's long knife at his waist.

One hand rested on the knife handle, and the other hand was placed on the side of the boat in front of him to face the sea breeze.

Observing everything on the boat.

There was curiosity in his eyes, and everything here was full of novelty to him.

After all, whether in his previous life or now, it was the first time for him to board such a large sailing ship.

The shape of the whole ship was not very similar to what Alka had seen in some movies.

It did not look like a galleon, but rather like an earlier carrack.

The forecastle and poop of the ship were obviously higher than the middle deck, showing a long concave shape.

Next to it, there were cables as thick as forearms, stretched straight upwards, all the way to the fence.

Countless cables passed above the ship, with order in the chaos.

On the main mast in the middle of the deck, there are three huge horizontal sails of decreasing sizes from bottom to top, which swell with the sea breeze.

There is also a secondary mast at the back, which is almost the same as the main mast except that it is slightly shorter and the sail is slightly smaller.

The arrangement of the mast and the sail is more like the sail of a galleon.

Somewhat strange.

Looking at the sailors standing on the circular watchtower on the main fence several stories high.

As the ship sways slightly, Alka can already feel the feeling on the watchtower.

The sailors around him look at Alka, who seems to be curious about everything, and can't help but shake their heads with a smile.

They seem to see themselves again.

"How is it for your first time on a ship? It's interesting, isn't it?"

Sigurt came over and stood beside Alka and said, and the sailor knife he had held before was also pinned on his waist.

Alka looked at the white waves that were broken by the bow and nodded.

"It's really novel. I've never been on such a big sailing ship before."

Hearing this, Sigurt smiled and patted Alka, and then left.

Before leaving, he said: "It will take two or three days to reach the destination. When you rest at night, you will go to the room I just took you to."

Alka waved and continued to experience the fresh life on the ship.

Looking at the endless sea.

"It's really interesting!"

......

"Is it still interesting?"

"No more."

Alka leaned against the stern of the ship and said boredly.

On the first day, he was curious about the novel life on the ship, the endless sea and blue sky, the fish swimming in the sea.

On the second day, he was not very interested. There was only the sea and the blue sky, nothing else.

It is already the third day. I heard that the wind direction is not very good, so it may take a day to reach the destination.

And he has lost the novelty of this ship.

Except for other ships passing by hundreds of meters from time to time.

Everything on the vast sea is so unchanged.

One or two days is fine, if it is longer, then life on the ship is indeed too boring.

It is much more boring than Alka imagined.

These entertainment activities among sailors are too boring for Alka who has experienced modern times.

He now spends most of his time practicing magic in his room.

And some skills that can be used in battle.

Toefel listened to the two people's chat, walked over and said with a smile: "Haha, this is the sea. A strong sea man must resist this kind of spiritual training. The boring world is to prepare for the passion that comes at any time."

Arka didn't feel anything when he heard this, but Sigt thought of something and said: "Is this sea area unsafe recently?"

Toefel nodded and said seriously: "There are pirates on this route recently, and several members of the homeland died some time ago."

Hearing this, Sigt's face couldn't help but become serious and nodded.

Homeland?

After Toefel left, Arka hurriedly asked: "Are there pirates in this sea area?"

"Which sea area doesn't have pirates? They are like rats in the sea, everywhere, and they can never be cleared out."

"What does the homeland member mean?"

Arka was more interested in this question.

Hearing this question, Sigt looked at Arka with a strange look.

Then he stretched out his hand and pointed at him, then pointed at himself and said, "It's us, we are the people of Home Island."

After hearing this, Alka remembered that Golden Wheat Island was also called Home Island.

But why is it called Home Island?

Some strange names.

At this time, Sigert patted Alka on the shoulder and said, "The things you asked me to help with yesterday have been done, let's go."

"Really, let's go quickly."

Hearing this, Alka hurriedly urged.

The two of them entered the stern deck, where there was the captain's office, and knocked on the door from outside.

"Come in."

A rough, full-bodied voice came.

It was the voice of Captain Halls.

The two pushed the door open and entered.

This was the first time Alka entered the captain's room of a sailing ship.

It was not as exaggerated as I imagined.

It was just an ordinary room, quite spacious, with simple furniture placed around and a painting hanging on the left wall of the captain's room.

Very simple decoration.

There were three rows of simple bookcases next to it, with a wooden baffle in the middle of the bookcase to prevent the books from falling down during bumps.

All furniture and supplies were basically fixed.

The most conspicuous one was the large solid wood table in the middle of the house.

It looked a bit messy, with various parchment scrolls placed on it, and some navigation tools.

Arka only recognized a compass, and he didn't know much about other tools.

There was also a huge map hanging on the wall at the back.

These maps were the purpose of his coming here.

Yesterday, Arka asked Sigurd to help take him to the captain's room to see some detailed maps.

He was very interested in maps.

This kind of thing is usually only available in the captain's room.

Holtz looked at the visitor and said to Alka with a smile: "The treasure hunter is here, come on, you can read all these maps, just ask me if you don't understand anything, I can't delay you."

"Otherwise, Marcy might twist my head off, hahaha!"

"How can it be so exaggerated?" Sigert said beside him with a sidelong glance.

Hearing this, Holtz came over and patted his shoulder with some sympathy.

"You are her son, don't you know?"

Hearing this, Sigert had to remain silent.

Alka completely ignored the jokes of the two people, and was already a little impatient, and went directly to the huge map on the wall at the back.

"Is this a world map?"

Hearing this, Hall hurriedly shook his head and said, "No, no, no, this is the map of the Muharat Homeland, also known as the North Homeland Sea."

"We are here now, this is the Golden Wheat Island, this is our destination."

He pointed to a point on the lower right side of the map. The distance between the two points was not even two or three centimeters on the map, and they were almost next to each other.

"What is the Blood Gold Alliance?"

The large area where they are on the map is called the "Blood Gold Alliance."

"The Blood Gold Alliance is an alliance of several important islands, and the Golden Wheat Island is also a member."

Arka nodded in understanding, which means it is equivalent to the government of this area.

As for the alliance, is it a joint government?

Then he was not interested in too much information. Of course, he came to see this map to test his golden finger.

His treasure hunting system must be mediated by maps.

He wanted to know what kind of performance the Golden Finger would give for such a large map with a wide coverage.

It is impossible for the dense light spots to fill the entire map.

There are 4 light spots on a small Golden Wheat Island. There are countless islands in such a large sea area, not to mention a series of treasures such as shipwrecks in the sea.

Thinking of this, Alka looked at the entire huge map and then blinked.

The map immediately showed obvious changes.

But Hols and Sigert did not notice or see anything unusual, and they were still chatting with each other.
