After the meal, Emilia led Enkidu outside for her daily spirit contact. This was part of her contract with the spirits—a sacred clause she honored without fail. The garden behind the manor was quiet, with soft sunlight streaming through the trees and the faint rustle of leaves answering the breeze.

As Emilia began to commune with a few lesser spirits, something unusual happened.

The spirits started drifting toward Enkidu. One by one. Dozens. Then hundreds. They circled him gently, dancing like motes of light around his body. They were drawn to him—irresistibly, instinctively—like bees to blooming flowers.

Emilia paused, her brow furrowed in confusion. Never before had she seen spirits behave this way.

The spirits, unable to contain their feelings, began whispering to her in soft, ethereal tones.

"He feels like... a warm bed on a cold night," one murmured.

"Or the gentle embrace of a mother," said another.

Their voices carried awe, reverence—even love.

The words puzzled Emilia. She turned to Enkidu, who stood quietly among the fluttering spirits, calm but clearly contemplative.

Of course, there was a reason. It was clear as day to Enkidu. Enkidu wasn't just a man. He was a being crafted by the earth and blessed by the divine. His presence resonated with nature on a fundamental level.

But what truly gave him pause was the phrase: "like a mother's embrace." That stirred something in him—something deep and unfamiliar.

Just as he pondered this, a familiar sound echoed in his mind. A soft chime. Then a message.

[Unique Skill "Mother Nature" is currently in use.]

His eyes widened.

"The unique skill... Mother Nature?" he whispered, almost to himself.

He asked the system in a hush, careful not to disturb Emilia or the spirits.

"System, what does the unique skill Mother Nature do?"

The system responded instantly:

[Unique Skill: Mother Nature grants the user complete control and manipulation over all natural phenomena and life forms. This includes use for both attack and defense. The users attacks and defense will have an absorbing property.]

[Passive Effects:

Nature's Helping HandOne With NatureLuck]

Enkidu blinked, trying to grasp the enormity of it. The power… it was beyond imagination. Even if he didn't fully understand every detail, he could feel the vast potential within him.

"System," he asked again, "explain the passive effects Nature's Helping Hand and One With Nature."

[Request heard. Processing… Request deemed reasonable.]

[Generating explanation…]

[Passive Effect: Nature's Helping Hand – Nature itself will act to assist and protect the user. If the user is in need of food, for example, a deer may appear or fruits may grow spontaneously. If under attack, trees might bend to shield, or the wind might deflect an arrow.]

[Passive Effect: One With Nature – Grants the user a regenerative ability akin to that of plants. The user becomes immune to all natural hazards—be it a lightning strike, venomous bite, or torrential rain. This also grants an extraordinary, godlike affinity to all forms of natural phenomena.]

Enkidu stood in stunned silence.

This was… incredible. He wasn't just in tune with nature. He was nature itself.

(You could say he is "Mother Nature"… Sorry, that was a terrible joke.)

Just then, Emilia poked his chin, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Are you okay? You seemed to have spaced out for a moment," she asked with a concerned smile.

"Ah—sorry. I was just… thinking about why the spirits seem to like me so much," he replied.

"Oh?" Emilia tilted her head. "Maybe you just have a naturally strong affinity?"

"Yeah… maybe," he said, though now he knew it was something far deeper.

The air grew quiet for a moment, and the mood turned slightly awkward—until a playful voice broke through the silence.

"Ahhh, what a good nap!" a small voice yawned.

"Oh! Puck, you're awake!" Emilia turned with a smile.

The tiny spirit floated into view, stretching mid-air like a cat.

"Lia, what's going on out he—"

Puck suddenly froze.

His gaze locked with Enkidu's.

There was a pause, long and heavy. Puck stared at Enkidu, sensing something... familiar. Not exactly like the power of his creator, but something ancient, primal, and overwhelmingly comforting.

Something that felt like home.

"Hi, Puck," Enkidu said with a gentle smile.

"Eh—hi?" Puck replied, his voice trailing, clearly caught off guard.

The atmosphere turned still once more as both spirits and people struggled to understand what this presence meant.

And then, cutting through the quiet, a new voice rang out from the direction of the house.

"Lady Emilia and guest! The Lord has returned!"

A pink-haired oni stood at the edge of the garden, shouting with excitement.

Enkidu and Emilia turned toward the voice, knowing its recipient.
